Young Kratos was actually level headed considering how he angry he was. He often gave his opponents a chance to back off but they always poke the bear in the end.

Because the character model has the animations of the older one, who's more relaxed and calm. The cutscene's model is specifically animated to look deadly. To have the same effect would mean having to remake every single animation in the game for one skin.

Things like the facial expression and lighting in the cutscene play into that effect. Having the skin in game where Kratos has so much more range in terms of character expression makes him feel more fleshed out honestly.

Love how they literally surprised us in The Game Awards by revealing a free DLC. If I were a bit more selfish I think this Christmas Present would be a lot sweeter if they actually went and hired T.C. Carson and atleast replaced if not all atleast some of Christopher Judge's lines. You know what I mean, the complete and Young Kratos Package, but oh well beggars cant be choosers.

You're confused, being in the norse universe doesn't stop him using his powers from the Greek myth universe. It's the fact he destroyed the world of the previous games that means he can't use the magic from before its explained in game. Even without the magic he had he's still an unstoppable god killing machine.

Older Kratos is 100% stronger than younger Kratos, devs said so to. BUT, older Kratos is constantly in a state of holding back. Young Kratos would've bashed his skull in wit no remorse or hesitation. is it just me or does young kratos look.. like he isnt as detailed as he should be, and by that i just mean like.. his skin looks too flat.. if that makes sense, like i know obviously a younger kratos will have less wrinkles and less rough skin but its like.. the model from the cutscene of valhalla looks a looot better than this playable model.

Actually, cory barlock already said that this older kratos is much stronger than his young self. So, kratos has been holding back most of his strength in the norse pantheon in fear of becoming the raging monster that he was. So, Young kratos vs Thor will be a much tougher fight than you think. Unless, this older kratos reverts to his old mentality, then he would destroy Thor and the entire norse pantheon with less challenge.
