Lady Micte ( Goddes Of Death ) Maya’s birth mother. She wants to sacrifice the Teca princess. Lady Micte had an affair with King Teca in the past. #MayaAndTheThree #MayaVeÜçSavaşçı #GoddesOfDeath
The fact that Lady Micte is the sister of La Muerte and is also voiced by the actress who voiced La Muerte in The Book of Life is surprisingly coincidental.
According to Jorge Gutierrez and an eagle eyed fan, Xibalba and La Muerte knows what their siblings have done and because La Muerte was devastated upon learning how her sister was killed, Xibalba ripped his snake form out of his body to ensure his wife never suffer the same heartbreak again
That snake became a staff. Also it would be a warning for both of them not to make demi gods(half god/human). But there too much in love with each other for that to ever happen.
Then again La Muerte would be disgusted that her sister cheating on her husband and Xibalba is shocked that his brother murdered his wife(not Muerte). Plus the fact Xibalba and Muerte would not want to go to war with the mortals seeing there siblings demise as a warning to not go to war with them.
@@gamerstheater1187well most Mexicans are the only real remnants of the Mexica (Aztecs) and Mayans so they’re going to be slightly different culturally to the common Native Americans since today, so most of those that were outside of Mexico were nomads, while the indigenous from modern day Mexico were an empire.
@@gamerstheater1187Wtf, modern Mexicans are descendants from these cultures, how are these characters supposed to act according to you? 🤣 Well, also from Spanish conquistadores, but even their dialect of Spanish is influenced by Mesoamerican languages, a lot ot their slang are from Aztec/Mayan/Toltec/etc origins.
@@gamerstheater1187 I feel like it'd be very difficult to do an accurate representation of the original cultures and probably wouldn't translate too well to a mainstream show for general audiences.
@@glasscardproductions4736 Wey literally a guy who is telling me what to call my own gente, with the most gringa word in the world, we somos Latinos, I don't know if you don't know any Spanish, which uses vowels, obviously, I don't know where you get that Latinos we use the stupid "Latinxs" to refer to us here in Latam, no one uses such a gringa word to refer to us, ,if it's not you, who believe that "latinx" is the correct term, something that is not, we are latinos, which is already written in the plural, aprende al menos lo básico del español wey, si tan siquiera tratas de "corregir" el idioma de uno, no te cuesta nada.
So everyone is freaking out about how this takes place in the same universe as The Book of Life and how the characters made background cameos but I just want a 1 hour version of her humming,, like that’s so beautiful and calming
I get the idea that those 3 old women were La Muerte, Xibalba and the Candle maker as old women but I think it would've been hilarious to see Miclan get an earful from La Muerte if Maya was La Muerte's daughter and not Micte's
I think I get it now. La Muerte is the ruler of the remembered and the goddess of death here is the actually god of death. You got a god/worker who takes the departed and then you got the Ruler/caretaker of the dead. The same would go for Xibalba
Kinda like how Hades is the God of the Underworld while Thanatos is the God of Death in Greek mythology. A misconception between the world and concept of death
Apparently from a comment I heard was that it takes place in the same time line and that The reason Xibalba and La Muerte are there because their siblings getting married to each other
As a huge fan of mythology, this series does such an amazing job showcasing Mexican indigenous culture while introducing it easily to new audiences with the little title intros
Nah she did a horrible job. It's indigenous mesoamerican culture not Hispanic or Latino culture. Why are they speaking Spanglish and not Maya, nahuatl, zapotec or mixtec. This is called paper genocide.
I was waiting for them! The people who made the Book of Life made this too, so I was waiting for an appearance. I freaked out when I saw they attended Lady Micte’s wedding because I was right about this being in the same universe as the Book of Life!
When I first watched this series, it was giving me alot of nostalgic vibes from the movie book of life, and I'm not complaining it was great movie and Maya and three is an awesome TV show.
Not only does this take place in the same universe of The Book of Life, but also El Tigre as the one of the owners of the belt was shown in the opening of the first episode
I'm glad someone else spotted this out too besides me! I'm so blown away by the connections Who knows 🤔 maybe well get a revival of the show or make a movie about it.
@@gabbymangadraws2088 I hope it gets some type of modern release I loved the show growing up and want a proper conclusion to Manny's story if he's full hero, full villain or something in between
@@jamesbiggerstaff3722 I don't think they are reincarnations. Rather the reason they didnt show up for the battle was because the events of the book of life were happening.
Lady Micte is one of my favorite incarnations of death. I never liked how death is often presented in a villainous image in most media, which the show was leaning into at first to make us think she would just be another typical “death = bad” character. Sure death can be scary, but it’s also a natural process that happens to all of us, as shown through Lady Micte’s own death. Also her love for Maya is so sweet.
I am very lacking in Mexican culture but seeing the sunflowers with Lady Death reminds me of the song “My only Sunshine” “You are my sunshine. My only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know, dear How much I love you. Please don’t take my Sunshine away.”
"May all the gods bless them" The ones who are alive that is 😂 But seriously though this was a good show, also I'm curious on who that warrior person who killed Pichu's parents was and if there is to be a second season if she'll play a role
Gods can die, and the fact that she is a goddess OF Death doesn't mean she is a Dead Goddess (well, now she is). And her coming back as a ghost can simply be explained as her essence more than her form.
@@kaydadrago3261 Can't say.....But i do know the Rivera Family, El Tigre the first and Dark Leopard. And do you know Sartana of the dead was the daughter of Xibalba and La Muerte?
I noticed recently when I rewatched the Book of Life, you can briefly hear Lady Micte’s song during the Manolo and Maria’s wedding. Beautiful detail connecting these two and I LOVE it
Was this like a sequel to the book of life because I saw two characters from that movie I forget their names but I could definitely tell that those two characters were from The Book of Life 4:36
@@Lana-nu1mh if you've ever lived with someone with loose hair that long you'd know the horror of it. When she has her hair done in her God form she reminded me of a powerful businesswomen.
And santana of the dead too. She is a teenager right next to la muerte who happens to be her daughter. And yes. Santana is xibalba and la muerte's daughter
I haven’t seen this yet. However, from the clip, it seems there was a lot of trouble caused by the one goddess not being upfront with her husband. I need to watch this to get the full story.
wait at 4:37 is that the three gods in the book of life? one is on the left the other one is on the right and the third one is in the middle I'm asking
El tigre is also canon too I saw the 1st mighty el tigre(not manny. But his great great great great great great great great grandfather) on the 1st episode And i saw a teenage santana right next to la muerte
