I saw this movie for the first time maybe 8 years ago. Since then, I've watched it 5 or 6 times. This line always had me thinking..."don't ever take sides with anyone against the family again"...I would always think, "or else WHAT? what are you gonna do, kill your own brother or something"...and then a few days ago i finally watched the sequel.
John Cazale often cast as a quirky outsider played his parts very well. He appeared in five films during six years, all of which were nominated for the Academy Awards Best Picture which is unheard of today.
This is very true I strongly believe no matther how hard life is or how bad the situation gets no one in the house hold should ever talk bad about there mother . For mother is only 1☝️
had to watch this scene over and over again.... i think this is the most important thing in life, never to turn against you own family, your own roots, your own blood.
gives me shivers. its like foreshadowing the ending of part 2 cept that wouldnt have been planned when they filmed this (i think this line is in the book too if i remember right) so its pretty cool that it sort of lined up naturally
Why the hell did they stupidly edit out Michael's final word in the scene shown here, where he says, "Don't ever take sides with anyone against the family again. EVER." That final "ever" is the key to the entire scene and it's cut from this clip.
