'Godfather' re-incarnated: the 1st High Horse Power prototype diesel locomotive WDG4 12001 re-inducted after Periodic Over Hauling by Diesel Shed, Hubballi today. It has received a new lease of life.
Among railfans, it is known as Godfather!
WDG4 12001 GT46MAC रेल फैंस के बीच में गॉडफादर के नाम से मशहूर है इस डीजल इंजन को डीजल लोको शेड हुबली का गौरव माना जाता है यह लोकोमोटिव भारत का पहला हाई हॉर्स पावर EMD रेल इंजन है इसी के साथ यह देश में विदेश से आया जनरल मोटर्स का पहला लोकोमोटिव भी है

This is not true that this locomotive is godfather introduced by GM . The godfather locomotive is WDM4 (GT16) GM manufactured at Chicago USA and imported to Mughal sarai locomotive shed of northern railway.

I like this engine firing & horn. but size is very big is very difficulty to handle loco pilot & not both side cab driving.
