Thanks for the instructions. My SPN-120 came with a small gap on the stopper screw, and I don't want the blade being damaged.

Glad to help! Yes, the technique will work with any nipper with an adjustable travel stop screw.

Believe it or not I find the DSPIAE ST-A 3.0 to be better than the God Hand SPN-120

Hey thanks for this! Are you able to let me know if CLP (gun oil) is okay for use on god hands?
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne 2 года назад
Any light machine oil such as gun oil will be fine. The aim is to protect the surface from corrosion and keep the joint moving freely.

Mate, what specific oil you used here?
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne 3 года назад
Any thin oil used for tools or machinery is fine. Depending which part of the world you are, it can be known as sewing machine oil, tool oil, or gun oil.

Will the lube used for airbrushes work for maintaining the nippers?
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne 3 года назад
Lube for airbrushes can work although they are thick and difficult to insert into the full joint. A very light machine oil, like sewing machine oil, is the best. This penetrates the joint and the excess can be easily rubbed over the steel with a rag.

@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne how often do you oil them?

does DW 40 work as a oil lubricant for maintaining? if not, what type of oil is best
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne 2 года назад
WD40 in not recommended. Light machine oil such as sewing machine oil applied as a very thin coating will be perfect.

What are the nippers you doing the first cut with ?
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne 2 года назад
Sorry, I don't remember as it's been awhile since we have had them. They are nothing special but basic nippers for model building. They are not so important as their job is just to remove the part from the sprue in preparation of removing the nubs with the GodHand nippers.
@skatetool87
@skatetool87 2 года назад
@@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne ok so the last cut with the God Hands the nipper is flush up against the part?
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne 2 года назад
Yes, that is correct.

No, it's a Water Dispersant. You should use lithium grease for metal on metal.

Next time mount your camera in the front yard and then do the review in the backyard. At least we could then have a laugh.
