Marwan said, It is he (`AbdurRahman) about whom Allah revealed this Verse:-- 'And the one who says to his parents: 'Fie on you! Do you hold out the promise to me..?' On that, `Aisha said from behind a screen, Allah did not reveal anything from the Qur'an about us except what was connected with the declaration of my innocence (of the slander).

I hid myself behind the door. He (the Prophet) came and patted my shoulders and said: Go and call Mu'awiya. I returned and said: He is busy in taking food. He again asked me to go and call Mu'awiya to him. I went (and came back) and said that he was busy in taking food, whereupon he said: May Allah not fill his belly! Ibn Muthanna, said: I asked Umm Umayya what he meant by the word Hatani. He said: It means he patted my shoulders.

Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed, Allāh will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together

There are "Revised Editions", "New Revised Editions" etc which clearly different numbers (not just translations), and even some verses removed, because Christian scholars are constantly attempting to go back to the purest form. If they already had the purest form, there wouldn't be a need to revise.

I think Rami didn’t clearly explain why the Quran doesn’t acknowledge the today bible and Torah to be correct. He could’ve simply point out the fact that Allah brought some verse just to refute the Bible and Torah version. For instance, there are verse just to clarify that story from the Bible and Torah that are saying Solomon was a disbeliever are false. Same thing goes for Noe. There is a verse where the only purpose is to say that the alcoholic part is false. Same thing for Jesus, there is a verse that refute his crucifixion. Why would Allah give words to clarify those parts if the Bible and Torah already got the story right ? Those verses are here to prove those scriptures were tempered

I concur wholeheartedly. I hate to be critical of their efforts, and I prayed that Allah reward and guide them but I feel they are patient to a fault, if that's possible. When they have an opportunity to establish the Haq after his claims, they reply with something like, "Oh, that's interesting." It makes you wonder who's giving the dawah. Instead of just saying the truth , clear and direct, they ask him to explain everything. If Ahmed Deedat and Zaakir Naik couldn't persuade this guy, then what's the sense of engaging with this dude?

A lot of verse in the Quran were reveled just to disprove the biblical narrative. A few examples are verse about Solomon and Noe that directly says what those scriptures said about them aren’t true
