The graphics are quite nice but you need to work on the focal length and aperture of the camera (its characteristics) to make it really seems like a human looking at the scenes. Right now the aperture and focal length are too different from a human eye to make it realistic, in my opinion. It looks like you are moving looking through an aps-c (or even phone) camera. (It does seem more realistic further in the video, though ! For exemple around 4mn10sec in?) Great work, though!
Another one going down the rabbit hole of writing his own renderer. I have seen several guys who started out trying to make a game get stuck in endless iterations of their custom engine solutions.
I’m not a game developer per say.. so I’m not creating games or planning one anytime soon.. I am more into graphics tools and how they work behind the scenes.. the knowledge learned on how these engines are made is far more paramount to me than making a game ..
