This is my first time playing Elden Ring on PS5. I'm working on an all bosses run ahead of the DLC release, Shadow of the Erdtree. Up to now I have seen some bosses and locations in the game, but it's totally different finally getting to play - it all feels new, and I have a lot to learn. Aw man I feel bad seeing you being so harsh to yourself losing to the Stonedigger Troll. He's not an easy boss for players who are new to Elden Ring. It's ok, we've all been there. Don't worry, you did a good job :)

Well, its actually an easy one, and as a experienced souls player you get annoyed, if you struggle on a boss, that feels as if you are supposed to beat him easily.

@@Hauri1972 I know but Elden Ring bosses are different, they're designed by Fromsoft specifically to mess with veterans. I hope she understands that, because ER bosses (and enemies in general) are definitely not the same as in other Souls games.

I played all but demon souls and would say, the most difference is in Sekiro, and if you come directly from Sekiro to any souls or soulslike game I’d agree, but for instance, I’m currently playing mostly Bloodborne and to me the dodging feels very similar to ER. The game where there is a huge difference would be Lies of P, cause dodging rarely will bring the wanted results

@@Hauri1972 The main difference in Elden Ring is a huge amount of wind-up delays, often followed by a very quick attack animation that's nearly (sometimes literally) impossible to react to. There are a few other tricks Fromsoft pulls in ER, but this is the most commonly understood one. It's a huge difference compared to Dark Souls. The result is that even experienced Souls players can get caught rolling too early or too late very easily. Even the easiest enemies in ER can get you.

I went from Sekiro to ER so took about 10 hours to adjust but it feels totally different, the wind ups are all different each boss, the input reading is out of this world, and the spam some bosses have is 🫠🫠 but, I am enjoying learning this system, but it does erk me a bit sometimes when it feels unfair
