@@mossyshotgun5902 obviously, amd127 has not followed Godsmack for years and years! Why post a comment about the (lead singer) if don't even know his name! What a jerk! Sully, Tony, Robbie, and Shannon are badass!
This song walked me off the “ledge” back in 2016. It’s always held a special place in my heart, but that night I heard it and my life has been changed forever. Thanks Sully and the band for saving me without ever knowing.
I’m still doing good! Thanks for checking. Bad and negative things always pop up in life and I’ve now found different ways to deal with loss and stress. To anyone who thinks it’s too late and you’re too far gone…you’re not, tomorrow will always be there to greet you. If you never feel pain then you never truly live.
Sully is the perfect example of someone taking a major influence (Hetfield) and utilizing it but also creating your own unique vocal style. Incredible!
murilo ninj the band's primary influence is Alice in Chains. Godsmack is named after a song from Alice in Chains' album "Dirt". Influence can also be seen in the logo. kilo943.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Godsmack-logo-background-wallpaper.jpg wallpapercave.com/wp/5ZtfFAq.png
I am talking about Sully's vocal influence...Sully says it himself that it is Hetfield's style he was going for but thanks for trying a history lesson on me, one I am, and most everyone should be aware of.
Saw them a week ago live , Shannon is 30 kilos of a beast :D And Sully is....i have no words, the man can play any instrument and probably fly.Epic epic stuff
My Name is James ... I am in my 60s. I am an old School Rocker. When I First heard Godsmack I was automatically hooked. Sully has the most Powerful voice , Robbie, really Rocks the Bass, and let's talk about Shannon. He a Silly are Masterful Drummers. It is so entertaining to watch Shannon Drop the Sticks in a a rotating motion. He knows his Drums. The entire combination of Godsmack is Amazing. I listen to ReAlign over and over the energy of that song is just like the other hits. The Groove of this Song like all of them makes me want to dance. Thank you for your incredible Music 🎵🎶 Godsmack. I am in my 60s. I am a Black Man,. I do not know how much more music can move you. I think they are one of the most innovative groups since the music of my era. I have heard many of their records and I can honestly say there is not a Bad one . I am JAMES F JR. This music relaxes and soothes me. Sully Erna one of the most Powerful voices today. I know you all agree so I need not say more. On with the Song.
Me too 😊😂. That would end up being 58 more years from now. OMG! Especially if you count that ends up being on my birthday. Lol 🤣. Wow! Ikr? I've been a huge fan of this band for almost 20 years or so about.v
Shannon Larkin is by far one of the best if not the best rock drummer of his genre. He plays the drums like they were ment to be played.... As hard as he hits those things one would wonder how many heads and cymbals he actually goes through... His endorser has gotta love him....
A good friend of mine turned me on to this song. He has mental health issues, and is in custody on federal charges. I wish I could talk to him, but I can't. It makes me sad. But this song always me of what is important in life. Not everyone can be saved. I hope that he can re align.
Yep - I'd guess they were pissed at the producer of the album for not capturing the power they're showing here. And ps: one of the BEST live bands I've ever seen (and I'm old as fuck so I've seen a lotta them)
There are a ton of great drummers out there but NONE of them bring this mans energy CONSISTENTLY to the table. He is my favorite drummer, ever, of all time.
They aren't heavy metal but Mana's (Mexican rock supergroup) drummer Alex Gonzalez brings the same kind of energy as Shannon does. The dude is like the Energizer bunny of Mexican rock. The dude plays his ass off.
Godsmack best song live in concert. The effects intro of the song is amazing. This song helps me through the hardest times of my life and came out on top of my life.
Laura Harris are they kick ass loud I want to see them I can go to Portland OR or drive 5 hrs to Spokane Washington I just want to see the loudest venue by Oct I will be needing the distraction I will be getting my leg cut off at the knee fucking diabetes really sucks
I've lost count how many times I've seen them live....over 10 times I know that.....but you are right, I have never seen them have a bad show.....Some are certainly better than others, but they always played their asses off.
Holy damn... this has got to be one of the best live performances I've seen on RU-vid!.. Crisp clear vocals, amazing energy! (ESPECIALLY FROM THE DRUMMER!) and overall great sound1. I'd LOVE to see these guys in New Zealand, but i highly doubt they would come here, atleast not for a long time..
Watching them play front and center was the greatest! Especially Shannon, Watching him making drums look so effortless. His arms swinging and feet going crazy was the highlight of the concert!!
I live in Maryland, traveled to Virginia to see them. 100% aces. These guys FN rock 🎸. They sounded just like their recordings, even better. We bought hoodies, shirts, hats. Great time. One of the Greatest rock bands of all time. Loved the show. Thanks GODSMACK. Never stop Jamin.
They do put on a helluva live show. Saw then in PA years ago(if memory serves me right it was montage mountain) and a dude kicked the sheeet out of a guy beating his old lady. Sully had security get the dude and bring him on stage after Sully told everyone. When show was over dude went backstage with his friends to drink with the band. Was cool as hell
This is the best band live I have ever seen. They opened up for Motley in 09 and absolutely blew them off the stage. I’ve been to over 60 concerts and Godsmack and the Scorpions in 88 were the best shows I’ve ever seen or heard.
The privilege to see Sully up close at his concert was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any rock concert. This is one you have to be at. Godsmack!!!
Pr0v0kat0r777 one of my favorites of all time. Not that its the fanciest or wildest but in the moment in the song this has always been one of my favorite solos
Kids 20 yrs from now will list Sully as one of their major influences. This guy this band is amazing. Rock music is in capable hands....BAAAM U GET GODSMACKED
I agree, he is one of my drumming influences along with John Bonham and Travis Barker! Amazing percussionist - Sully is also an incredible drummer as well! 🙏🌀🧿💙
Been a huge fan since close to the beginning. Seen them a few times in person. Played along on the drums. Soaked it all in and I’m convinced, godsmack is my favorite.
Just seen Godsmack on the 12th of April, 2024....and it was Totally More KickAss, then I ever imagined, even tho it was considered , " An Intimate Evening With Godsmack " , with less Hard, And More ballad-y and acoustic, stuff. It Still Fucking Rocked !! Love love Them. Even in their old age ..they kickass better then 95% of other Rock Bands
