Such a hauntingly beautiful song. Sully is one of the most talented musicians and gives so much of himself in every song he writes and performs. Sully / Godsmack will always be what every musician creates when they truely are "their music" .
I agree an these people putting him down are pissing me off, because can they play the drums, can they sing and can they write music, can they play the guitar, No so why do they complain . I like his new solo stuff, I like his lyrics. And every album can't be a hit, there's a lot of competition out here. you stick by your band you, try to get into what you can with the music, until something better comes. the band members all have lives everything can't be a hit. My husband and I have been to many concerts. We traveled to Boston from PA for this live recording, and it was easily one of the best shows we’ve ever been to. The acoustics were amazing!

Just found it today. Wow!! I grew I thought the best music in the world the seventies. Now that I'm old lady just turned sixty eight I found these guys Five Finger Death Punch. Jelly Roll and of Disturbed. said the singer has Gods voice shine down and many more. My sister says I have horrible taste in music and my niece and nephews think I'm cool. I think I'm open minded.

All of the songs from Avalon touch me in such personal ways, it's like Sully had the ability to look into everyone's mind and wrote songs for everyone to feel and be part of. Is there anything better than the gift of music? I am grateful that despite the tumor in my head that had taken away hearing in 1 ear, I still have one left to enjoy masterpieces like this.

Last went to Pepsi center in Denver, the best, my sons birthday 31 of July. All , would like to say , when Sully smiles 😃 his eyes are Smiles. When he is singing- the vessels on his neck popped. This is quite amazing. I'm an 18 year old girl and I grew up with this kind of music around the house. Metallica, Godsmack, Megadeath, and a bunch of others. This is real music, this has real soul put into it. At a metal/rock concert I am at my most vunerable because I get lost in the music and I let out all my emotions to cleanse my soul. I know that sounds a bit weird/creepy but that's how I am :)

I was fortunate to have met Lisa a couple of years ago at a small venue concert at a local bar in Portsmouth, NH. Such a beautiful lady inside and out. Took a few minutes to talk and take a selfie with me. The following fall I got to see Godsmack and they were incredible live. Front row seats Only thing between me and the band was a guard rail and security. Probably the best year in my life, after one of my worse.
Lost my husband in Apr 2020 - due to Remdesivir/Vent - hospital death camp. He & I always listened to this song, while driving cross-country and he is still on my shoulder with me today, every step of the way, through this wild ride on this earth. I first heard this song when I was in middle school. It still puts me in a different plane. I have never felt so at peace listening to an album before. Avalon still hits me as hard now as it did back then. Growing up listening to Godsmack & Sully's solo work is such an awesome thing. Very thankful for my parents giving me a good taste in music.
