Great guy, thanks for your support Sully! US Navy Veteran (1994-2004) I saw Godsmack in Norfolk Va in 1998 at a little place that held maybe 150 people called the Boathouse!

Good interview! I remember Sully when he worked in a Lawrence,Ma. restaurant,,The Roma! The band hit the lottery and we can only wish them well! He's from my hometown so we support them and dig the music!

Been following G-Smack since very first show and in fact long before. Sully was drummer in a local band called Meliah Rage long before Godsmack was born. I've met Sully multiple times over the many decades, and he was always a good dude. We all have mutual friends in music. Godsmack will always be synonymous with the New England music scene.

Sully lookin' like Ed Norton mixed with CM Punk these days...he still looks good though for a band that I used to listen in high school. Godsmack is early 2000s nostalgia, which is kind of crazy.

I remember seeing TV commercials for Godsmack's debut album. I was like who the fuck are these guys? But I dug the music, and they have been one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen. Just a great band.

I met the whole band back in 2004. Was waking up one morning with the radio on and it said Godsmack would be signing autographs for three hours at a specific music store. I was like the 20th person in line. Shook Robbie Merrill's (bassist) hand and showed both Sully and Shannon a pic of my drum kit. Sully jokingly said, "You gotta get rid of those Zildjians, man" (both he and Shannon play Sabian). Had them all sign their Faceless album.

Craziest show I ever seen was Godsmack at Ozzfest 2000 in Phoenix Arizona. They played one song and said we were a bunch of pussies compared to the crowd in Albuquerque. The rest of the show was pure chaos. Fires lit, mosh pit raging, a security guard got his ear ripped off, it was insane. Been to Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura, Soulfly, Morbid Angle, Behemoth, Anthrax, Slipknot , none of them even come close to Godsmack that night!

Fact or Fiction : Godsmack performed a "10th Anniversary" advertising campaign for an open air show in Sturgis, SD ... claiming such things as some 15 or more HD cameras filming the event. To this day, the associated dvd has yet to surface. (Any REAL reason for this?)

I like some Godsmack songs. Sully Erna is intelligent, charismatic, musically gifted, and fun yet smart in some ways. Though, I will say America's troops are usually working class Americans who sell their souls to the military because they don't have money to live properly. America has extreme wealth inequality caused by very rich tyrants who enslave working class Americans. It has always been a tyrannical country founded by upper-class white men who stole natives' lands. Martin Luther King, Jr. and John F. Kennedy were assassinated by the C.I.A. The C.I.A. targetted black people more than white people for MK Ultra. The C.I.A. started political coups to destroy progressive countries for creating unethical sweatshops and child slavery overseas. America started to become a third world country with indoctrination institutions disguised as broken education systems, rotting infrastructure, dirty water, unhealthy food, floods, droughts, increasingly limited jobs, wage slavery, etc. because its true rulers have extorted so much wealth and resources from most people while making our world burn. So, the American military is not controlled by people who give a shit about making the world be a better place for everyone. It's controlled by Wall Street monsters who don't know the meaning of justice and compassion.
