You can tell she never wanted to kill rodan. She just wanted to get him out of the way as at that time he was being an unnecessary burden in the battle. So beautiful!

When Mothra stung Rodan, my mom had two words: "Good girl!" Mothra is possibly my favorite in this movie.

Mothra is so pure and benign that it almost feels like a crime calling her a monster.

2:22 was the best scene of Mothra in the movie. The way her wings spread under the falls was so mystical it gave me chills when I saw it in the theaters the first time. They truly made her as beautiful, as she was a force to be reckoned with.

I think why we all like Mothra, besides her beauty and majesty of course, is because she showed NO FEAR in the face of certain death. Rodan mortally wounded her, but she puts his ass on the ground (you seem him writhing in pain on his back), she then goes and has the short "conversation" with Godzilla, showing him that he is not alone in the fight. Then she stares down Ghidorah and spreads her wings over Godzilla as if to say: "you shall hurt him again" and then she FUCKING CHARGES Ghidorah, dead set on fucking his ass up next (dying or not). She was fully ready to just drop the hammer on Ghidorah, never mind the danger to herself. That my friends is why Mothra is the Queen of the Monsters

Mothra is literally the representation of hope and serenity.

She needs her own monsterverse movie asap. She left the strongest impression on me out of all four monsters in this movie

I love how gentle she is. Instead of killing humans, she just cocoons them.

Her roar is so feminine and she was beautifully made, just a touch of badass added. Actually cute how close her and Godzilla are.

I started crying when Mothra sacrificed herself to save Godzilla. She will forever have a special place in my heart. #QueenMothra

This film will never not be underrated. Ghidora's depiction as hellish, satanic and apocalyptic was rivalled only by Mothra's depiction as an angelic redemptive saviour.

The Mothra God Rays was done beautifully The humans find out the Ghidorah is controlling most of the other titans in the world to destroy the planet. Godzilla, the one Titan that can stand up and challenge Ghidorah is presumed dead. The weapons that the humans have have little to no affect against the Titans. Hope is lost for this world, as any attempt to fight Ghidorah would be suicidal. But just then from the sky is as if the heavens are shining. They hear a cry not a cry that is meant to do harm. And then the sky opens up and the area and sky is enveloped in a pure angelic light. From the sky she appears, Mothra Queen of Monsters.”

Motha epitomizes the notion of being a Queen. Kind and benevolent but lethal and threatening if needed. When Ghidora is on the ground, she certainly is intent to use her sharp legs to one shot all the heads.

I love the scene where she stabbed Rodan because she just looked so fed up

Mothra is probably my favorite Kaiju: gentle, kind, and so very brave and strong in her own way.

We know she'll be back and all....but I don't like seeing Mothra get hurt.

Mothra totally looks angelic at 2:38 She’s so badass in this movie and I love the sounds she makes. He did hurt her but she totally kicked Rodan’s ass.

Mothra had more expressions than the whole of lion king remake

It's been stated that Mothra expected there to be twins singing to her when she hatched, and that she was angered when the containment field killed the insects that flocked to her. Given that lights exploded with a flash of her bioluminescense, it can be assumed that she knowingly and consciously shut down the containment field herself. And yet, she never killed anyone, just webbed them up. Though, whether or not the giant spiders around killed anyone is up for debate.

As a kid who grew up watching Godzilla, it was really hard to explain to normal people why I was crying through half of these.

My mom when mothra was waiting over the ocean for godzilla: "she just wants her old man damn it!" 😂

I'm so glad they didn't use the cute,fluffy mothra design and made her look like a actual moth and butterfly together. This mothra has my favourite design. I hope she appears in godzilla vs Kong since during the credits it shows that they discovered a mothra egg

I loved Mothra ever since Childhood. I would be sad whenever she died, and her death scene in this movie made me breakdown into tears in the theater. Needless to say, I was very happy to hear she wasn't permanently dead, and she's still out there in the Monsterverse. I'm hoping we get a solo Film for her! 🦋

At one moment, Rodan tries to attack Ghidora, but they beated the shit out of him. Then he picks a fight with Mothra, but he didn't realize she's strong as fuck and gets stabbed. And after everyone watched Godzilla disintegrate Ghidora, Rodan appears and bows to him. Rodan is the Starscream of this universe.

Godzilla: "Who am I, Mothra?" Mothra: "You are my king, Sire." Godzilla: "And do you trust your king?" Mothra: "I will follow you to whatever end."

Say what you will about Godzilla, but NEVER forget Mothra always fought to save and protect humanity!!! We love our Moth Mother!!! 💕💕💕

2:03 i love that part, it show that Mothra isn't a mindless monster but a sentient creature capable of empathie. She has always been the most caring, that's why she is the Queen, independantly of her relation with godzilla.

I honestly can't choose a favorite scene of Mothra in the new King of the Monsters, she's an angel in every single one, even in the beginning with her as a larvae with the terrible misunderstanding before the ORCA was used. It still breaks my heart to see her die when she made that blood curdling and high pitched scream when she accepted her fate, but in the end it's always worth it because she's immortal and always bounces back, she may live multiple lives but there will always and forever be only 1 Mothra, also because she possesses the single greatest power that anyone could ever have, the power to sacrifice yourself for someone or something you love. Our natural world couldn't have had a better Mother to call it's Queen, and neither could Godzilla have had someone better to have called his Queen either. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN OF THE MONSTERS!!!!! Who would have known in 2019 we'd fall in love with a bug. Although the oj kaiju fans have probably loved her forever. How dare you guys keeps this gem from us u_u

She didn't even want to fight Rodan. Rodan was just in the way of her helping Godzilla so she had to deal with him. Also, Rodan was stabbed in a non-lethal spot and was most likely paralyzed until the end. The way he screamed when he fell made me think he was dead 😂 he was so dramatic.

I legitimately got teary eyed when she "died". And didn't notice until my second time watching that she got her revenge through godzillas burning form.

And when Godzilla uses his nuclear, we can see Mothra's silhouette. What a beautiful Titanus :)

I'm a mothra fanboy, always have been, the guys at work who have only known THIS Mothra dont understand and jokingly make fun of her and me, it's all good fun but it was sad to me that Mothra in this one was more of a symbolic character, and I feel they left out quite alot of her power. I mean she only has the stinger, silk, and beautiful god Ray's, when in the past she has had powers like energy beams she can fire from her antennae, acidic silk, stingers she can fire rapidly, incredible strength, high enough to pick up godzilla like a rag doll, the ability to deflect energy attacks like Ghidorahs lightning back at her enemies using mirror like scales from her wings, a suicide attack that is absolutely devastating, reincarnation making truly immortal in a sense, and each time she reincarnated, she comes back stronger and bigger than before. She also can fly at mach 7 like rodan, create gale force winds that can lvl cities like rodan. In other words she should have been able to easily fight rodan off, especially since they left out FIRE RODANS most devastating ability, his Uranium heat Ray's. Still, I will say that Legendary did truly honor her appearance and sound effects, easily the most crisp, most beautiful mothra, and I very much like the minor modifications they did with her legs

Mothra having a stinger and sharp mobile legs add so much to her previous character design. Yeah she was a hurricane-like force of nature before hand in the Toho movies but now she’s an ARMED hurricane-like force of nature.
