actually what is the drought? I am a 2006 baby, but I remembered the early days of godzilla, ultraman, king kong, etc., (thanks dad for showing me a computer at a very young age), but i dont remember or forgot what it was.
@@JPisnotaquasarnorapulsar basically, there was a good 10 years between Godzilla: Final Wars to Godzilla 2014, there were very few high profile kaiju movie. There was the 2005 King Kong, Gamera the Brave, and Pacific Rim, but I can't think of any other, and I'm being generous with Gamera.
The beam is actually a piece of 3D geometry with a video post glow effect on the texture. It rotates on its central axis and scales out from an origin point in the mouth. The same effect is done with JJ's eyes, though instead of rotating the cylinder, it is scaled on the Y in 1 to 2 frame increments to get the jittery effect.
Cool thanks, i actually found a 3dmax lazer tutorial after i posted and added the glow to a cylinder, but i didnt think of rotating it for a non constant glow effect. Thanks alot man.
That would be a great update to JJ, I think! I mean... you can't have him come back still looking like Ultraman/Captain Planet! Godzilla looked awesome!
Godzilla came out AWESOME... love his look, his atomic breath, and his roar. Jet Jaguar... not so much. It looked more like a knight than Jet Jaguar. His most noticable features are his orange and blue stripes, which were missing. lol
Lol is it me or did someone just tell Godzilla to look over there when jet jaguar came cause I saw him roar and then when he blinked you hear "look over there." and Godzilla just turns his head and looks. XD
bro u need to make a movie at least a 10 min movie with a battle and how long did it take you to make that mod of godzilla i dont like the way you redesigned jet jaguar
everything from modeling, animation, effects and lighting are done in 3dsmax. probably sounds like a good ad for Max but really, everything was a struggle to get to work right.
haha I just noticed that I put up an older version that doesn't have the smoke in it when Jet J lands. Ah well, now you can see some before and after with the other newer version that someone else posted a while back.
@shonokin Which design? He did the original 1954 Godzilla and the 1962 and 1964 Showa Godzillas, as well as the Hensei Burning Godzilla for his KA-MA-E concept work.
VERY cool reguardless of who made what. I think Toho made a mistake when the stopped the Hesie era. Son of G should have continued on as Godzilla & fought or teamed with: Mothra(returned from space & possibly Biollante), Kamunga, a non-dream Gabera, Baragon, a rebuilt Mecha-G(cause Megura was a DISMAL fail!), Kamacurus, Gorosaurus et-al & a few new Kuiju as well. However, Jet-J MUST NOT grow!! Imagine a Highly manuverable 6' J-J making an anti-grav- flying upper-cut to Godzilla's chin. WHAM!!
It's no mystery, some folks are just dumb as rocks. I made it as a test of a certain rev of 3DSMax. If I didn't then how can I have different versions of the render?
