Radon is Rodan's original Japanese name, but was changed to Rodan in American translations because it was thought Radon would remind audiences too much of Radon, the radioactive element.
Akira Ifukube was for Godzilla what John Williams was for Star Wars. What I really like about this movie is that it isn't black and white. At least from my point of view it's not clear who's the antagonist here. Judging by the theme it's MGII. This theme is evil. And neither Godzilla nor Rodan/Radon are the aggressors here. They only act when Baby Godzilla is taken away which is a very human reaction.
This is what the anime mechagodzilla should have been there is a behind the scenes booklet that says that Mecha Godzilla from the anime series would’ve had a whole slew of powers but they never used it for some reason also they killed the girlfriend subplot quicker than rodan in this movie
This is from the 90's they can get over it. I freaking love Toho but they need to stop caring so much about this shit. He just had to reupload "Invasion of Astro Monster" that was from the 60's like damn they really need to just let go the fact that they got him on that?? That's embarrassing for them they're being stuck up for no reason.
Alexthehunted Congratulations, you just passed 10,000 subscribers. I love all your Godzilla videos and you're one of my favourite youtubers. Keep up the great work.
Main character: Leaves post which killed millions of people, defies order from superior, and steals highly secret military super weapon. Gets fine Me: *FUCK IT IMA STEAL A SUPER WEAPON!* * Gets arrested for attempting to steal a super weapon and gets jailed for life *
Errrrm, it IS RADON. Gojira, Mosura, Kingu Ghidorah, Radon. This is just like that weird moment in the Japanese version of Kong VS Godzilla where an american character says....."It's GOJIRA". Come on dude, you should know better, your reviews are usually spot on.
Actually, I think the MC could get away with stealing a military vehicle. Once a kid stole a A4 Skyhawk and took it for a joyride, and got off scott free.
I believe he was a mechanic and knew the skyhawk inside and out, he was training to be a a4 pilot but had a accident. So when he recovered, he decided to take on for a ride and the suffer the consequences.
I liked it, but I still love the original Godzilla v. Mechagodzilla (with King Ceasar) and it's amazing theme. Yes, their economy sank due to all of Godzilla's constant attacks....;). Weird why Sony did what they did for just one part of the video...oh Sony.
Am I the only one who noticed that the design for Mecha-Godzilla in the millennium era was somewhat based on Super Mecha-Godzilla? Also WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F*** SONY YOU DON'T OWN ANY RIGHTS TO GODZILLA, LEGENDARY FILMS AND TOHO ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO DO!!!!!!!
Alex, please for the love of Godzilla it's really easy... Heisei is pronounced: Hay-say. ("i" or "eye" or "aye" doesn't enter into it) OK? The Japanese call Rodan, Radon (a shortening of pteranodon).
I’m not sure if you didn’t know this, but Alex tends to have a difficult time reading some Japanese names and words due to him having Dyslexia. He points this out in his review of Godzilla vs Biollante.
Tbh, I think this is the worst MechaGodzilla film ever made. Deus Ex Machinas galore, teeny-tiny Junior, bullshit main character, and absolutely terrible Mechagodzilla design (where the hell is is super long tail?). Worst film of the Heisei series at the very least.
