@@erikolson4148 i think he's quoting about Cat behaviour about go in into questionable small place, stay and sleep there because it's fit Because director of this movie confirm that his cat inspire this Godzilla (and sleeping Godzilla is one of them) Could be completely wrong tho lol
@@kiddo7765 it was confirmed that the behavior of Godzilla in this movie was base on the director's cat's. So yes, my explanation is cannon. If it fits, he sits.
Yes. Mothra reincarnates, reborn with all the memories of her past lives. She and Godzilla are Queen and King of Planet Earth, and as such, she is the ONLY Titan Godzilla listens to.
Kong is giving me strong Kratos vibes from God of War. And I love the scene were he's trying tell Godzilla he doesn't want to fight. They're doing a good job giving the monster their own personalities.
Not suspect, its a fact, theres a book where the director says some details about the movie, he says thats true, either he came up with that, or he decided to make it canon because of online rumors, either way, now its canon.
The actress that plays Jia is actually deaf in real life, her whole family is and has been for like 4 generations. She's still in high school and these are the only 2 movies she's ever been in which is crazy. A lot of the actors that worked on Godzilla vs Kong and Godzilla x Kong all learned sign language just to talk to her and help her out on set as she'd never been in a movie before which is super sweet
I had such a blast watching this in theaters, man. So many epic fights, new epic monsters like Shimo, Tiamat and Skar King. And the return of Mothra, this movie was crazy!
Considering that 'guy' didn't really have a pronounced sagittal crest on her head, I would assume that she was female, which makes it likely that she is Suko's mother. As for why she was working, instead of attending to skar king like the other harem members, perhaps she fell out of favor or became too old or something. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs, kongs are their own thing, not technically gorillas, so maybe they aren't as sexually dimorphic.
Some fun facts you may have missed, the first run -Mothra sacrificed herself in KoTM on purpose to energize Goji and because there was another egg (you already know the whole lore thing around mothra) -Godzilla starts taking care of titans that would be the most problematic if another ghidora situation happened. the crab & goji had quite a bit of offscreen beef after the movies but with tiamat it was more than just old beef tiamat in this iteration can produce its own energy and is capable of out producing godzilla as well as beating him in output and capacity, tiamat. once dealt with goji started draining the giant battery tiamat was storing along with some of it's DNA (which is why it went Super Saiyan Rose after Super Saiyan Blue lol) -Godzilla in this new form no longer needs radiation from outside sources like bombs or reactors since it has tiamat DNA in it's system, lastly it's stated godzilla is STILL further evolving which is crazy to think about now that we know he can steal dna and abilities from other titans whenever he feels like it. -Suko is the tiny orange kong and i believe he is scar king's son, i think he has like all the wives in his tribe and suko is one of the sons born from the one he kicked into the lava. -Shimo was the Queen of monsters once before goji and even goji feared her once but she retired for some reason and hid deep in hollow earth until SK found her and used some crystal (probably her dead child since the spine was small but intact with the crystal and SK got it's hands on the remains. Suko in this movie is taller than the kong in Skull Island
36:30, Mothras two most important powers are her self reincarnation and her ancestral memory recall. She can come back to life by reincarnating in one of her own eggs, and remembers everything from her previous lives.
fun fact: Suko (mini Kong) is actually Skar King's son, as well as all red apes children in his throne room. Yes, he forced all those females to... you know...
Me and my Mom held in our tears and screamed in joy when we saw mothra come back❤ she is one of my favorite kaiju and I’m so happy they finally brought her back , I love her so much, what a beauty 🥰🤗 this movie was incredible and I love your reaction! Thank you!
I like that small detail, further on in the movie fighter jets from Aircraft Carriers are also shown to not go too close to Godzilla. I like that the movies show humans are atleast learning to minimize casualties (they just need well place bunkers for potential Titan attacks since any city can become Ground Zero).
Some backstory on Tiamat and Scylla, who are both female titans: They both had beef with Godzilla in the comics. Scylla, the spider, would keep feeding on nuclear sources, which would both harm the environment and make her strong enough to challenge Godzilla to be alpha. That's why Godzilla eventually confronted her in Rome, so she would never be a challenger to him again. A similar situation happened with Tiamat, but in the comics, she inhabited Godzilla's old lair, and you do not try to take his home from him. After losing the fight, but just barely, Tiamat settled in the Arctic to try and become stronger, but as we saw, Godzilla put an end to that as well.
I'll tell you whats wrong with Godzilla every time he tries to take a nap humans find a way to wake him up. He has a perfectly good reason to be so cranky lol.
Kong looks sorta grey because like real life gorillas, as they mature, a male gorilla develops that grey back established as the Alpha. That deaf girl in the movie is actually deaf, I thought that was pretty cool. What I hope for the next movie is it being Godzilla centered again since we got a lot of Kong, the next villain should be Space Godzilla, yeah if you can believe it.
@@TheGhost-rp3ko Wingard the director of this movie and the last one isn't directing the next movie anymore due to scheduling issues. The next movie should just be another solo Godzilla movie instead, he hasn't had one since King of the Monsters and Kong has had enough screen time in my opinion he deserves a break
@@abztrackt SpaceGodzilla was born from some of Godzilla's DNA being brought into space and sucked into a black hole. The kaiju that carried the DNA into space is called Biollante, who is a monster born from the combination of Godzilla DNA and rose DNA. This was in the Heisei Era of Japanese Godzilla movies.
I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. And the fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who can rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, same with her meeting other members of her people. Fun fact: Dan Stevens also played The Beast in the remake of Beauty And The Beast.
@@williamafton4427 Power alone does not equate to a good villain. We, as an audience, got to see just how cruel and depraved Skar King is and what he'd be capable of if he conquered the surface. Bonus points for being the first actual Monsterverse antagonist on film that's more than just an "ancient enemy." Sure, he had old beef with Godzilla, but we got to see him and Kong meet for the first time and how their hatred for each other culminated. So, yeah, he was more enjoyable than the alien that wanted to destroy stuff "just because."
@@I-speak-U-shut-it isn’t it funny that both Lemon and Tangerine have both been in bullet train and also in a Godzilla franchise movie? (Aaron Taylor Johnson was Ford from Godzilla 2014)
Godzilla's older than any human structure on Earth lol. He cares not about our silly buildings. Besides....if he's older than anything man made wouldn't that make him technically more valuable than anything like the Coliseum or anything else in Rome or Egypt?
3:47 According to the funny and heartwarming sections of TV Tropes, Kong's reaction to Doug stealing his food from him is one of annoyance rather than aggression, suggesting that this is a regular occurrence, and it's implied that he (Kong) has grown at least *_a little bit_* fond of the mischievous creature enough to let him take some of his food 🤔🤷♂️🤗😁😉👍😌.
Tiamat first appeared in the Godzilla Dominion comic, abd she gave him a much harder fight then Goji killed her so easily here because he's much stronger now than in that comic
Dude…I swear, Kong using the little ape as a freaking weapon to smack the others around, has got to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen happen during a fight scene…like EVER my dude! 😅 I legitimately had to pause the damn movie because I was laughing so hard at that ffs!😂amazing!
you weren't paying attention but Bernie said Gargantua insurance, Gargantua is a reference to the 1966 toho kaiju film War of the Gargantuas which is cannon to the original Godzilla/King Kong universe
Here is an interesting fact. The ape that got kicked into the lava was just the guardian of Suko(the red mini kong) Skar King is the biological father of him. There is evidence to back this up because once the ape went into Skar Kings throne room to tell Skar King about Kongs little hideout, Skar King throws his food at the wall and you can see the female apes holding other red babies.
I love to see how agile godzilla is now. His new form 20x stronger. He evolves to new fights. Thats why his evolved form has a stego like tail and longer arms
Mothra patched that shit yo so and quick and was like “I’m not dying again for this. Peace out!” Meanwhile Godzilla’s finally having the best sleep of his life for the first time, and Kong gets his family back and a girl on his arm. Amazing ending.
11:45- Yes, Kaylee Hottle (Jia's actress) is indeed deaf. 43:21 In Mesopotamian myth, Tiamat was an ocean goddess. She represented the primordial chaos from which the universe came. 57:56 From what I can gather Godzilla's atomic breath is basically a super-heated plasma. Elementally it would still be classed as fire. Plus, ionizing radiation burns living tissue.
⒈ "Diddy Kong's" official name is actually "Suko." ⒉ Skar King _is_ Suko's father. The ape Skar pushed into the lava was Suko's non-biological guardian. ⒊ Could you guys react to Samurai Jack and Primal next?
I love how much Godzilla hates Kong in this film (even though Kong has been nothing but kind and understanding toward him). That look he gives Kong at the end after Kong smirks at him is, “If it wasn’t for Mothra, I’d have left you for dead with a smile on my face. I had to beat on 3 women today (Scylla, Tiamat, Shimu), and being associated with you has been my lowest moment today”
I like how the lore explains why Godzilla claims the surface of the earth as his territory and why Kong and his species remain in the Hollow Earth. Pretty much clears up why Godzilla gets into a scuffle with Kong in an aggressive manner.
Fun fact: the spiked end of Godzilla's tail is called a Thagomizer, which was coined by Gary Larson, who was the creator of the comic strip series "The Far Side", and was originally named after the spiked tails of the Stegosaurus.
You got to remember godzilla was preparing like that because he believed the scar king was coming with a army and shimo. Bro was getting ready to run the fade with the whole race again which when you think about it makes sense why Kong isn't really a problem for him
Man, this movie was all kinds of crazy, crazy fun that is! Godzilla and Kong teaming up to defeat a villainous Lanky Kong with the Mother of Monsters (Shimo btw) was so wild and I love it!
Can you imagine a GXK video game where it takes the format of peter Jackson's King Kong where you not only play as , Man or as King but as God as well how hype would you guys be plus the promo commercial for it
I just came across your channel today, subscribed and absolutely loved your meaningful and emotional reactions very much to the core from all 3 of you and your thoughtful comments made on scene by scene. Love you all and loads of love all the way from south india. Pleasure to meet you all my dear new friends. Take care..!! You'll made my day for sure.
Incase you’re wondering, about a year or so they put out some comics that expanded the monsterverse some that took place a bit before this movie. So that wasn’t the first time Godzilla got into an altercation with Tiamat. Tiamat and Godzilla fought at one of Godzilla’s old lairs that Tiamat took over, she didn’t want to acknowledge he was the alpha. So Godzilla was needing the radiation from Tiamat’s spot to get stronger m , but at the same time he knew that it wasn’t a good idea to let Tiamat just get stronger, or she could have been a problem in future throwing the balance of power off in the natural order, Godzilla was killing two birds with one stone by killing off Tiamat here.
The producer of the movies said Godzillas mannerisms are that of a cat, very territorial and agressive but very intelligent and accepting once comfortable with you. Also Godzillas new form is based on Kaioken from Dragon ball Z. Godzilla continues to adapt and get stronger hopefully for Space Godzilla and eventually Destroyah
Monsterverse = old Godzilla vs monsters movies which have more mythology while Minus One is more Shin+1954. Love both but I lean more towards Godzilla vs monsters movies cause I love the mythology in the old Godzilla VS monsters movies that seem to carry on in the Monsterverse. 🤘🐲✌No wrong answers, to each their own.
yea she can feel the vibrations of the titans on the last movie she put her hand on the side of the ship when godzilla was coming for kong when he was on the ship, she can feel it
what i think about this movie from start to finish is, godzilla be like "please guys, i just wanna sleep" 😁 joke aside, what i love about it are, mothra is come back, kong finaly finds his true home and family, and the powered up godzilla even shimo admire him like "oh wow , who is his buff guy? ", too bad behemoth didn't came out, brazil is literaly near his turf
Godzilla was standing at the Rock of Gibraltar which is located in Spain and Kong came out of the vortex in Egypt. Godzilla's evolution not only increases his powers but also increases his speed in swimming from Spain to Egypt and it only took maybe less than an hour for Godzilla to arrive in Egypt. Godzilla is really Fast.
I was hoping for Mothra to snuggle with Goji in the colosseum, wonder what's she's gonna do now, they have to put her in the next one, and her egg is still out there, maybe it'll hatch Battra, that would be sick.
Funny you guys mention godzilla new form and color and making a dragonball reference. Because that exactly what it is. Fun fact, one of the lead designers of the movie revealed that godzilla's neon pink form is a direct reference to goku's kaio-ken power up.
I do like the new monster ideas these movies come up with. But if we're talking classics, we absolutely need another Ghidora fight (since he's Godzilla's greatest rival in the original movies), Space Godzilla and I hope the 'final boss' of the franchise is Destoroyah. Bonus points: Gigan, Anguiras. And if they're feeling SUPER spicy, Jet Jaguar.
I think it was stated that while the CG was a lot, and with the big fights, they were able to save money with a smaller group for human cast. That's why, although it feels questionable for continuity sake, the OG Monarch from King of the Monsters and people like Milli Bobbi Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Skarsgard from GvK aren't in this one.
Godzilla glowing blue like that is his body not being able to handle the radiation. Thats why when he fights tiamat his body changes so he can handle more and have more power.
