I can actually imagine Kong's race being amongst the most dangerous in the Monsterverse. they've shown to have human level intelligence with them building fortresses and crafting weapons as seen in the previous movie. some theorized they were capable of speech. the reason we haven't seen this yet is because the species went through a regression after the war with Godzilla's race. they were scattered and left with almost nothing, becoming almost feral. basically a reversed Tarzan where it's the apes living in the wild and becoming like animals. but these other Kongs survived, endured, and rebuilt. they held on to their ancient ways. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they could speak considering all we saw that they left behind in the previous movie. As they said, this planet never belonged to us humans. we were just keeping the seats warm. now here comes the Earth's true rulers to revive their empire. making Kong's species the biggest threat in the Monsterverse yet is one of their best ideas yet.

We're back in hype mode everyone. Man a teaser like this is exactly what the monsterverse needs

So I'm assuming the "Kong" on the throne is probably a veteran of the ancient war, more than likely stuck in his old ways or just completely lost it, either way this looks awesome!

We got a prehistoric planet 2 trailer yesterday, and now this? Man, it’s a good week for kaiju and dinosaur fans

-Glows blue just like Godzilla, implying it has some kind of power. -Is an intelligent primate that rules from a throne, just like Kong. -Hear me out….. Kongzilla?

I think he is not as physically strong as kong, but he could make up for that with a massive amount of experience

I gotta a feeling that the Ancient Kong has been planning his revenge of Godzilla for almost wiping out his species. His blue eyes might be a side effect of being in the hollow earth for as long as he has been down there, he might of obtained some abilities from it’s “radiation”. And He might call Kong a disgrace for being to weak to kill Godzilla.

I always had the idea of an older kong that was unable to change as a villain, but I didn't actually think Adam Wingard would go through with it. Now I'm really interested. Also I'm really glad that it's called Godzilla X Kong instead of Godzilla VS Kong 2, since that implies that Kong & Godzilla may now have an alliance which I like the idea of.

If this comes out, it'll be a full decade after 2014's Godzilla

I can't believe Godzilla X Kong is now an official thing 💀

This "new Kong" doesn't have the same body structure as Kong is GVK and less hair, looking much more older. kind of giving me Evil Vibes. Also Kong is GVK has orange, red eyes. This kong has blue and his skin is looking a bit red or wounded. Could this kong be one of the ancestor of Kong and still fighting the war between the Godzilla species? I'm SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE!

I hope this villain has the lightning powers that Kong had in the older movies. Or just some ability that on his own, makes him a threat to the two.

This took a minute for my head to process this, and now that is has,THE HYPE IS BACK ON!!

I’m not speculating here, but, I always thought it would’ve been great to introduce Gaira and Sanda into the MV. Maybe make them a Sub species/relative of Kong. Idk who this new mystery Titan is but I’m pretty hyped (He does share a resemblance to Sanda)

I don’t think that Kong is the villain tho, I just don’t see Adam Wingard letting the undiscovered threat be exposed like that. I think that’s another Kong in the same species. Maybe it’s an ally Kong finds while exploring in the Hollow Earth.

The Giant Titan on the throne is not Kong but is another Titan that is most likely a Titan Hunter as we can see Bones of different Titans including the species of Godzilla And Kong

My first thought is this Monke Kaiju is either a trophy hunter of other kaiju, hence the boneyard at his feet, and the glowing skulls of Goji and Kong implying that they are his next target, for whatever reason. Perhaps because of a still-simmering hatred against the King of the Monsters. Though it'd be a mystery as to why this character hadn't appeared or been mentioned before. Or a fallen king-type character residing in a throne room-turned-mass grave filled with the bones of the Kong kind. Likely from the war against Godzilla/Godzilla's species, from the Skullcrawlers' onslaught, or both as well as any number of other tragedies and disasters. A portrayal of their long gone and forgotten dominion from before. His survival and glowing, blue eyes may imply that he has managed to tap into the power source that created/empowered Godzilla. Whether the image is intended to be more literal or metaphorical, my guess would be Monke seeks to build a "new empire" out of the ruins of the old domain of Kong's kind we glimpsed in GvK. Regardless, the implications for the story set up plenty of interesting avenues for Godzilla and Kong alike. The latter having the chance to meet a living member of his kind, to explore the Hollow Earth and the history of Kong's kind, and - if more of them still live - could set up the "Son of Kong" storyline Mr. Wingard teased at before. I will say, the MonsterVerse has run into an issue of repetition with every kaiju villain being some sort of ancient rival to the hero monster(s). I get the impression GxK will carry on this trend. Plus, I'm curious to know just how Monke will pose enough of a threat to require Godzilla and Kong to combine their might to take him down. Still, so long as the villain is well-written and utilized, along with the heroes and over-arcing story itself, this has the potential to be something good. Only time will tell.

For being such a short teaser, this built up some excellent atmosphere. Also the music is rather nice too.

All I have ever wanted for a monsterverse movie was to see two kaiju apes fight each other. So happy that it is coming to fruition. I suspect this Kong is related but a slightly different species. I also believe that he has an army of kaiju at his disposal. Whether they’re other kongs or just kaiju in general.

I don't think that it is just another older Kong. I think that this thing is something else. If you listen to the sounds, it makes a sound that sounds like Godzilla, Ghidorah, and Kong. I think it's some kind of Chimera.

i think its entirely possible this new monke is the biggest threat of the MV yet. now these are all just theories ive got from watching the teaser but: -he is probably thousands of years old based on all the bones in there, so hes been around for a while -he probably has powers. GvK showed that the kongs knew how to harness the power of the hollow earth, the power that godzilla has. he has blue eyes so i would venture to guess he has some powers similar to godzilla, but hes a monke -this is my most out there theory, but its entirely possible this guy has some kind of army. there are likely lesser beings that worshiped his species who would fight in a hollow earth army and probably other kaiju that fight in his army. i mean whenever the word empire is thrown around, i think about an army

When a full trailer pops out in youtube ima find some hidden kaijus in the trailer Also if you dont knkw what i meant "find some hidden kaiju" Hideen kaiju means a kaiju that never appear or hard to spotted in a trailer like mecha G he appear in the movie and the trailer hard to spotted so have fun finding these hidden kaijus

I'm assuming this is a Kong member that had survived the battle with the skull Crawlers and possibly escaped to a new hollow earth tunnel. It spent it's time fighting and surviving over plenty of years and due to the HW energy that would explain the growth and glowing blue eyes. This member will probably see Godzilla and attack until Kong shows up and both find out they are Allies before the main antagonist appears.. Speculations could be Biollante, Gigan, Space Godzilla or Destoroyah. THIS IS A THEORY BTW

It's a nice teaser for the next monsterverse film Godzilla X Kong the new empire. It does what a good teasr should do, it didn't reveal much about the film's plot. Most trailers and even teasers reveal too much nowadays.
