Something that seemed curious to me about the opening of the film is that Godzilla cares little or nothing that he is possibly the last of his species, unlike Kong who seemed desperate to find others of his species.
It was stated during an interview that Goji has what can be described as a “last samurai” demeanor. He knows he’s the last of his kind, yet has become resigned to his fate. He just has one goal now, survive. There has also been a theory going around that the Titanus Gojira species was marginally anti-social. They would be territorial of their respective living areas, and only would work together if times were desperate enough to call for it. Otherwise, given how vindictive Godzilla himself has proven to be, they wouldn’t give a jot if a rival kicked the bucket. Though given Godzilla cinematic history, it brings to question how the big guy would behave if he encountered an infant of his species, that wasn’t one of his own?
@@creativekaiju7572well, adan wingard said that the idea of a baby godzilla like the one from the heisei era is interesting to him, so maybe in the future another godzilla will appear so that the big guy is not alone
Both Kong and Godzilla unleashing their Alpha Roars while covered in the blood of ther defeated enemies. Absolutely badass. This films opening really show that they both are truly Alpha Titans.
@@SuperMagnet True, even though the color green suits Gamera the best from the kaijus, apart from maybe Biollante. So help spreading #MonsterVerseGamera to make this a reality!
2:53 was my favorite moment in the film hands down. The way Kong decided to scare them away like that was absolutely incredible. Like the animalistic portrayal is hands down the best part about Kong. Love it!
I know And the best part is that the whole sequence was just him preparing his breakfast😂. Hopefully he’ll get to fight a nozuki (not a fan of the name warbat) and win on his own. He got some XP points in 3 years
After blood and guts spilled on him, he looked disappointed they didn’t attack him lol. He was establishing dominance but wanted a fighter instead then ran off, after all he is 👑.
This was originally meant to be a Kong solo film, they had simply found a way to write Godzilla into the story with it making sense. That’s why Godzilla might feel like a afterthought in this movie
@@floofikite6524 I mean, I guess a Mothra movie or something like that could do it as well (third big lead kaiju that has solo films in the MV), but Gamera would just be PEAK, there are so many exciting possibilities that you can do with him and we've been waiting since forever for a Godzilla vs Gamera movie, so I think that the MonsterVerse is the perfect opportunity for it to be realized! #MonsterVerseGamera
@@floofikite6524 I suppose? But I think it would be WAY cooler for it to happen in the MonsterVerse, because of the realistic looking CGI and it would also introduce Gamera to the general audience (who mainly watches the MonsterVerse over the Japanese Godzilla movies), so yeah.
@@AdatBrikz_Tv Yeah they do. I see this comment in multiple reply sections in this video. I don't think there are THAT many people who want a crossover.
The opening shot might now be one of my favorites in the MV! First the movie explains to us without dialogue how the hollow earth is lit. Then Welcome to my World starts playing and the camera does a 180 while we are reintroduced to the beauty and geography of the hollow earth. We see Kong but the music starts to fade as we are reminded that this place is also dangerous.
Whoa, I watched the movie two times and somehow didn't notice that those big crystals at the beginning were to show from where the light came in the Hollow Earth. That's a very cool detail which I really like and appreciate, thanks for pointing it out fam! #MonsterVerseGamera
@@thedragon5870 I don’t think gamera will be included since he’s owned by dia and dia and Toho are rivals and if gamera would be included then Toho might pull out
Thanks Legendary, we don't want movies with realism, we want to see our Kaijus fight in crazy battles. I love seeing the Monsterverse more alive than ever.
Me too, but you know how it would get even more alive? With Gamera of course! So join #MonsterVerseGamera to convince Legendary to create this epic crossover!
Man I really hope they go back to releasing the IMAX versions of movies for home release. Anyways, this is probably my favorite opening to a MonsterVerse film so far. GvK felt really constrained but GxK feels like Adam Wingard got to make the movie he wanted to make.
Yeah. I’m still bummed out about it. It’s personal because I was sworn to watch movies in scope with expanded aspect ratio in IMAX. So, I’m passing this.
7:02-7:04 I love the detail that Scylla is trying to stab Goji like she did in dominion but she’s failing to do any damage at all. Just goes to show how much his power increased in 8 years
Cool detail, didn't even notice, but you know what the whole fandom doesn't notice? That #MonsterVerseGamera is a REAL possibility right now! So hop on the campaign train and help with the spreading of this hashtag to make Legendary consider this epic crossover for a future movie!
It does, but having Godzilla patrolling & actively on duty ontop of Kong's personal quest is great to have. So far we've only seen Godzilla's side of his Guardian duty from the comics, this time around, he stands on by himself, with no human intervention.
2:53 is such a satisfying and yet terrifying scene, the way the camera just zooms in on Kong telling them they finna end like that if they tried honestly gives me goosebumps!!
The fact that they release the beginning of the movie is crazy. I watched it yesterday at home and it was phenomenal. I will probably watch it more than once.
I know, but is there any interest for #MonsterVerseGamera from you? Because if yes, then you can start to spread the hashtag everywhere to make people aware of it, and when more people do it then eventually Legendary will notice and possibly take action!
@@thataintfalco7106 *Looks at silly godzilla vs megalon short film* you sure about that? 😅, toho and legendary are both doing serious and campy godzilla. It's just they're leaning towards 1 tone more so than the other depending on the film or director.
Try to imagine how epic Godzilla vs Gamera would be. We can change things if we stay united and spread #MonsterVerseGamera, so don't give up and join the online movement.
It was indeed, but you know how we can make the MonsterVerse even greater? With Gamera, of course! So don't waste any time and start spreading #MonsterVerseGamera to make the long-awaited Godzilla vs Gamera crossover movie happen!
@@thedragon5870 Unless Toho and Kadokawa (the current IP holders for Gamera) come to an agreement for a Godzilla and Gamera crossover, it's not happening
@@titan133760 Bro, we as fans have to finally stop the excuses and just try to convince Legendary to get Gamera's rights with #MonsterVerseGamera, it's that simple, believe me, I mean, trying doesn't hurt and even if we fail for whatever reason, then we can at least say confidently that we tried our very best to make this happen.
@@thedragon5870 Keep in mind that it's still up to Toho and Kadokawa if they want a crossover. Fan demand in this case will only get us so far, considering Kadokawa once asked Toho for a Godzilla and Gamera crossover, but Toho refused
@@titan133760 Yeah, I know about that, but that was a long time ago. Toho is different now, I mean, they actually did a Godzilla and Gamera crossover very recently in the Godzilla Battle Line game, so there's that.
Just watched GxK:TnE - and I was enjoying during watching this movie. The only thing - I thought it would be a little bit longer. Ah, if Warner had extended versions of Monsterverse movies - that would be epic.
I can re-feel the every scene vibration which I experienced in a 4DX theater... After Doctor Stranger Multiverse Of Madness this Godzilla X Kong had the best 4DX experience...
This movie got you so hyped up straight away! I love how the "welcome to my world" song that was in the trailer, actually opened the movie. That was unexpected but cool
