I recently uploaded a production of Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, so now here's a BBC radio production of Goethe's - this one boasts a cast just as impressive as the other, with Toby Jones and Derek Jacobi as particular standouts...

The joy of BBC radio, the range of stars it can get hold of for an afternoon... There's a very good dramatic monologue on this channel called 'Walk Right By Me', which is wonderfully performed by Gary Oldman. And a version of Dostoevsky's Devils which has a similarly stellar cast... David Tennant as Macbeth, too, if that interests you...

Thank you so much for both! You mentioned in the Marlowe description that you had uploaded other productions of Dr Faustus but I could not find any. I am a new subscriber and I am relishing so much of your excellent content. I just need more hours in a day for listening!

Hi, glad you like the channel. There is indeed another version of Faust on here, 'Faust (2008)'. It's a modern treatment of the story and features Mark Gatiss as Mephistopheles. I do have another version of the Marlowe play somewhere, recorded in 1995, so I may upload that one eventually too...
