Watch NYU Shanghai students strike a pose for eco-fashion at the Shanghai Himalayas Museum. The students took to the runway for GoGreen Week in garments cleverly fashioned from waste materials. The event, held at one of Shanghai's premier art venues, aimed to raise awareness about the wastefulness of the fashion and consumer industries, by turning common waste products into works of art.
The project was co-sponsored by the Green Shanghai student club and the Shanghai Project arts program.
#NYUGoGreenWeek is a student-led initiative, which began as a collaboration between NYU Shanghai's Green Shanghai and Animal Rights and Herbivores Society. The initiative takes place across all NYU campuses. It aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and sustainable solutions, and inspire others to take action, through a variety of events covering animal protection, ecological businesses, environmental NGOs, food production, and sustainable development.
