Not many people can play the guitar like this lady does.......unique in such expressive play...not only gifted but an Armenian lady who deserve a standing ovation every time she plays and much more. Bravo Miss Vardanyan.

It appears that there is no tension physically. The head, shoulders, back, etc. are perfectly relaxed. All of her energy goes to the fingers. This is just brilliant. I believe she is gifted, but this type of thing doesn't just happen. It requires great dedication and hard work. Bravo Young Lady. You inspire me to pick up the instrument again.

Thank you very much! That's very kind of you to say. Relaxed playing has always been a priority, since I was a kid. At this point it comes naturally, but I do make sure to monitor it time to time, since it is incredibly important :-) thanks again for your comment!

very good observation, it was the reason why I left the guitar....I always suffered back pain and tension while playing. After 12 years I left :-(

@@frankg3rd1 I was very ignorant about classical guitar when I started to take classical guitar lessons long ago. I marveled at the players in our local Classical Guitar Society and was absolutely knocked out of my socks when I went to my first concert by a concert classical guitarist. 50 years later, I am still very impressed at the many very talented concert guitarist we have today. Gohar Vardanyan is a shining example. I still play classical guitar but not as much as I did when I was younger. Classical guitar has been a large part of my life and I still take great joy in playing and learning new pieces.

@@reynaldo121 Im so glad you still play. I myself enjoy playing much more than when I was younger. My flaw is memorization. My memory kicks in 3/4 of every piece....but...once I reach that point I get bored playing it over and over....I jump to a new piece and start the cycle again. If you are pressed for time....thier are Earl Klugh solo compositions that can be had here on RU-vid for $18. Thank you for reminding me to one day see a performance.

Gohar , That's a long programme. I haven't heard a lot about you anywhere else, I came across you here on you tube but you are one of the finest guitarists I've heard. The clarity and separation of notes is extremely well done. I feel I could listen to you playing and almost write the stuff down! You don't fudge a single note do you? Really very very good!

It was written by M. M. Ponce in the style of S. L. Weiss, commissioned by Segovia to play a joke on Kreisler, who often passed his own compositions as his own. This suite was meant to be presented as a “newly discovered” work by Weiss, but manuscripts proved that it was indeed written by Ponce, though some older publications wrongly credit Weiss as the composer.

Suena muy bien, lo que no termina de gustarme es la falta de expresiones faciales o corporales, o muy ligeras, tal vez porque está concentrada en extremo. Al menos sí me gustaría sonar como ella.

Yes Kohar, you are a master Guitarist. I used to listen many guitarists, including Konrad Ragossnig. I took guitar lesson for one year only. The only thing I did not like, is the ugly fake leather furniture behind you; very ugly I wish they remove it. Krikor from L. A. CA.
