I was absolutely obsessed with avpm (and then starkid) in eighth grade. Now I'm about to finish my first semester of college, and I still know all of the words. So many damn emotions
+365saturdays you and i are in the same boat, then! i got into it in the 8th grade through a classmate who loved harry potter as much as i did, and i was going through a really rough patch of depression. it's finals week of my first semester of college and i'm rediscovering my love for all of it, and now i can fully enjoy it :')))
Starkid was such a huge part of my high school years, and watching this brought back so many memories, of the early years of the fandom. It's so emotional watching this
@@BigDieselUMD07 He said "This is Totally Awesome" at the end of his Golden Globe speech as a nod to Starkid. Then at the Emmys he said "Go Blue" at the end for Michigan. That clip is now a part of the hype film they show before every home football game.
It's so weird that this song brings the same nostalgia of the books somehow??! it gave me goosebumps and it just makes me really happy for some reason, is it the same for anyone else?
I love how Darren semi fanboys when Joey runs out. Also I just watched the geeky con version of this and it seems super slow. Also Merediths outfit is adorable and I want it. Also I need Laurens skirt
StarKid has been a massive part of my life these past few months. I've never laughed so much or loved a song so much. I've adored Darren and his vocals and his acting skills - I was introduced to him first by Glee (THANK YOU NANA FOR FORCING ME TO WATCH GLEE AND MAKING ME LOVE IT.) Although AVPM/AVPS/AVPSY are the only musicals I've watched properly. But I still think you're all "totally awesome" ( ;) ). "It's great to come back to where we began" is so funny because they're basically coming back to where they began. Love them all.
I know Starkid had already done much more by this point, so it's just so amazing of them to perform this old favorite and give it so much energy and commitment!
Seeing this live still gives me chills. Like I was there SPACE tour Boston. This fucking blows SPACE tour out of the water. So many feelings and I can't help but smile so fucking wide.
This was back when the Harry Potter Fandom days were at their peak in creating memorable shows like A Very Potter Musicals. Starkid is very much a part of my heart and I thank them for the memories.
I have the biggest, dumbest smile on my face and I’m on the verge of tears. I’m a very new StarKid fan. Since last month I’ve seen 7 of their musicals and haven’t watched Senior Year yet. This video still brought me sheer unbridled joy.
The thing that I love the most about Darren is that no matter how famous he gets and how many roles he gets and how many people know him, he is always, first and foremost, a starkid. It makes me so happy to see them all together again. (I was so sad that we didn't get to see Bonnie... the new girl doesn't hold a candle)
For me Meredith is AMAZING and has an incredible voice (Firebringer, for example), but Bonnie was a way better Hermione. Still, she stopped up to a character that already existed, and that is very brave from her. Btw, I found out she is an original Starkid too, but worked behind the scenes at the beginning.
@@idk-qs8ft she's been in starkid since the beginning. She was in the white lies show they had which one of the first projects they did. Bonnie is bonnie, but meredith is so great too.
Starkid are a huge part of my life. They may seem like just a theatre group from Michigan but they are SO MUCH MORE. It’s annoying though, because I live in the UK so none of my friends know who they are. I will never be able to sit down fangirl about Joey, Lauren and Joe. I will never be able to make Starkid references and people actually get them. I will never meet them. BUT they help me and everyone in the Fandom through a lot. So thank you Team Starkid.
