Backed by the all-star Waymore Blues Band (“the band I always wanted,” he later recalled) along with his wife Jessi Colter and guests John Anderson, Travis Tritt and Montgomery Gentry, Waylon delivered a moving, exhilarating performance, revisiting his greatest songs one last time.

My step dad was in Waylon band way back, late 1960s, early '70s. He he said that Waylon what's a perfectionist when they played, everything had to sound just right. They put out some good music together. No one before, since nor will there ever be anyone quite like Waylon!

Jenny is a spittin image of her mom Jessi Colter and she's belting them tunes out like a pro. She was timid holding back a lot when she was with her daddy Waylon at the Austin 1989 concert. Damn, our country legends have dwindled a lot, they all done gone home ahead of us. Won't be long when we'll be country swinging in Heaven with them!

My daddy asked my mama why did his kids listen to country music and not hispanic music. She said it’s all you used to listen to . I remember back in the day that’s the only radio station. And he had an 8 track player in his truck. We listened to Johnny Cash, Hank, Dolly Partner. We even have the hick accent. lol from Texas. People in Settle Washington would stop me when I was talking to to tell me You are from Texas.
