This man must sue the state. The story of this man is sad and unfortunate, as civilians, there is nothing we can do so that this man gets justice? Can't we sign a petition? I have no answers I did not do law at school, but I really think there is something we can do to help this man until justice is served.
This brings tears in my eyes. I have lost the little faith I had in our police and the justice system. We're led by heartless criminals. I also fear for this man's life. May God protect your life my brother until you get what you deserve 🙏

The reason why they won’t investigate is because they know that you are innocent and if they exonerate you, they’d need to pay a lot of money for the wrongful arrest and years you spent in a maximum prison.
The guy is seriously stressed out the least the useless justice system can do is withdraw all charges against him and let him be a FREE man. They are ashamed to admit that an innocent man went to prison. All will end well brother don't lose faith.

He's the detective himself, he's exposing the police force that failed to do their job. I hope you do get opportunity in the justice system to show them what is perseverance when dealing with false accusations and do their jobs accordingly.

🙁 the pain in his eyes💔 this is painful😥 the justice system is a complete mess FR🤦 I feel your pain bhuti..my cousin brother is in jail for a crime he did not commit, he's been behind bars since Aug...apparently his girlfriend's friend had a crush on him for such a long time but I guess he did not notice her, instead he was interested in her friend....so baby girl woke up one morning saying my brother raped her...at first her family was saying they know he did not do it , they will convince her to drop the charges....now everyone is against him....there is literally no hard evidence, no docket , the only thing they have is her statement😕 but still the police are refusing to release him💔
So sad indaba ka 'Joe'. We used to church together and we were Wesley Guild members of the Methodist Church. It was a very somber moment (years) for his family and everyone who knew him. I don't know how many prayers and prayer sessions his family and the Methodist Church delivered to his home. And funny how I and Shabalala's daughter went to the same high school; I remember seeing her crying in our school bus because her father had been killed.
This man's life has been almost ruined by some corrupt people and a broken justice system. A good legal firm can help him to sue the state and get something back in monetary terms

I feel this guy's pain about being a prisoner but on the outside because of the record. I've had to wait 10 years for a record to be cleared this year and the pain that I felt seeing my former classmates of social media progressing led me into deep depression. I just pray that his matter gets the serious attention that it needs to clear his name.

Same thing happened to me, even though it was for 2 days, by the time my family came to see me, I was called by names because they didn't have my name at front desk because they just put me in cells without taken fingerprints, with my money and shoeless on me. My girlfriend when she asked me at front desk, police staff asked who are you looking and she said Patrick, they said I think it's pyjama murder guy and lapho I wasn't even link to that case.
OMG this is so real and touching. In Africa we are still behind justice wise. The system just wants to deal with you and spit you and they have no time to be human
Retirement is often an escape route for those that do wrong or commit crimes while working for the state. That is exactly what is happening to this brother. Instead of prosecuting those that have wronged him, the legal process is frustrated for such a long time that those who committed these crimes cannot be prosecuted because Statute of Limitations has expired. And once they retire, it's difficult to hold them accountable for the decisions they made while in office. This may sound like a terrible thing to say, but I'd recommend this brother forget about justice and work on getting his record expunged. Hopefully someone here sees this and offers him assistance and a job. Also, he has children now. This sounds like a very dangerous situation even though it happened such a long time ago.
Our government has failed us and way too many people have felt victim to this. I feel like if a lot of things were privatised in our county South Africa would be a whole lot more different.
