Going Back to Gran Turismo Sport 

Verstappen showed us yesterday how important P6 is. Steve is a genius and we didn't know about it.

It’s crazy to see the graphical changes from Sport to 7. I really don’t remember it being such a dramatic upgrade.

9:41 - This the funniest thing I've seen in Gran Turismo since that one random OP Samba Bus during the Human Comedy missions. The way SuperGT baits him like in that one legendary video, only for it to not quite work, then for a random Aston Martin to come flying in out of nowhere to complete the kill... The timing of those events was absolutely perfect. 10/10 gameplay.

If you ever come back to GT6 and your position in the first race is 6th, that's just a sign from gods Love you Steve!

Cant belive that after 7 years, The Sport Mode in GT SPORT is gone forever. RIP GRAN TURISMO SPORT (October 17th 2017 - January 31st 2024). 😭

Since subbing to Super GT years ago while looking to get 'gud' on GT Sport, I have indeed become a decent driver on the track. Thanks bro.

Definitely have a new appreciation of the graphical improvements after seeing this. I remember thinking GT7 looking pretty similar the first time I saw it.

That radar is much more useful in Sport. I practically have to squint to see it in 7.

Glad to see you finally got the platinum. Managed to get it in July 2020 apparently, and the biggest grid was getting it to level 50. Weirdly does not seem that long ago, but last year was a bit of a nightmare for me with health issues and spent a lot of it in hospital and I even lost three months of the year that I dont remember because of it. GT7 has been easy by comparison, but still need one trophy to get that platinum, but it is something totally out of my control as I have to get those three Le Mans legendary cars, and only one has shown up since I bought the game in June (well either that or I did not know about which cars it was til recently and did not have the credits). Got the first of the three nearly a month ago and still waiting for the other two to show up. Have to agree that the games feel different. I was playing Sport right up til I got my PS5 in June, and did not wanna get 7 on the PS4 even though there was a free upgrade as I wanted to experience it in its full glory. When I first got GT7 I was struggling to get wins when I had well over 100 in GTS, and even an FIA win. Took a few weeks of getting used to and I now have, I think, 34 wins on GT7.

I wish they would release a patch to play and save completely without the internet like the old gt games.

I only started playing gt sport about 6 months before gt7 was released but this feels nostalgic.

The hairpin before the straight is forest elbow, dipper is the one that "dips" left into right after the esses, good vid mate 👍

Interesting to hear you talk about your channel getting bigger due to GT Sport. If it wasn't for that game I probably wouldn't have bought a wheel which means, I probably wouldn't have come to this channel. So glad the choices were made.

When I saw GT Sport announced, I was excited. Then I learnt it was going to be online focused with very little single player content and I was disappointed. When they added single player races and it was on sale, I decided to buy it. Glad I did as I sunk many hours into it. GT7 will probably be my most played PS4 game, overtaking Sport.

Steve, I think there is something wrong with exposure correction or something, the colors are genuinely somehow desaturated, washed out compared to old GT Sport videos... maybe a recording or PS5 or rendering issue...

Hello Steve! Hey, you mentioned something in this video that got me thinking. As you said, Gran Turismo has been basically the main content for your channel, apart from your kart races and the other real life racing events, however, have you considered doing other racing sims as your main content, or do you just prefer GT overall. I've seen you doing some F1 races, but I mean like Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, etc. Btw, I'm not complaining, I love your GT content, you're my favorite sim racer out here, it's just curiosity.

Please do some more videos on this old game, it has to many good memories.

Been enjoying the racing more on GTS (haven’t been disconnected much). Racing at Monza and then the Nurb GP has been good and cleaner than GT7.

The horrible roofcam is in GT7 too. That's why I race with helmetcam, game info off for hardcore mode multiplier

The issue with GT7 is everyone drives the Porsche in GR3 races, at least the BOP in GT Sport is fairly even. That's Forest Elbow that leads onto Conrod straight.

I still play it and i still find a lot of multiplayer to play

Haven't even touched gt7 since wrc generations came out. Might not be as polished but rally racing is infinitely more fun. And the new league mode is awesome!

this happened to me on GTSPORT aswell as not letting me into lobbies either!! so I couldn't race in the league I'm in so lost out on 2 races worth of points, the game said it was my NAT TYPE was at 3 not 2 n didn't know what to do with that!! lol👍

i still play it and i will to the day that i finished gt sport and when im sure if i will or will not buy the ps5. Also those dissconects are something that might have been a problem on that day but that's not the usual

Good throwback, and 7 still has flaws for me 1. Lack of Licensed music 2. Not all cars appear in brand central 3. Invitation Required to buy Hypercars

I really miss a lot of the way GTS enabled multiplayer - casual and competitive. I was reluctant to buy it because I've had such toxic experiences with online gaming, but now I miss it. GT7 has been very frustrating.

After I ground it out to get to 91 online wins to get the Platinum trophy, the only trophy I needed was the King of the Ovals trophy I tried everything to get it but it was bugged for me. So I reset the game and I thought I had backed up my save data but after I got the trophy, I reloaded my stuff and all of my credits and cars were gone. So I deleted the game off my PS4 to open up a bunch of space

Well, I still playing this game with my young brother, because we want to complete every race at gold. And yeah this game have better camera angles than 7, so it's ok.

GT Sport still looks Awesome to me, but then my gaming started with Pong, back in the '70's.

I play sport everyday so I wasn't aware of these kinds of lobbies Where do I go to partake in these events, or are these daily kind of races not available?

I forgot how bright GT sport was. Its less saturated than GT7 but the highlights are very bright.
