ThatBoyJohnny are you losing hair or just receding? Because there are ways around that such as growing your hair which can cover it if it creates confidence issues for you
I'm actually working in a research lab studying hair follicle stimulants and hair regeneration through stem cells and other various methods. I gotchu fam.
One of the things my friend's dad once said that I'll never forget is not to worry about if your black or that Spongebob Bald meme because Majority of great black folks can rock the baldy, Michael Jordan, Tupac Shakur, Terry Crews, LL Cool J, Luke Cage the folks you mentioned etc etc Just rock what ya got with confidence like ya been doing. Keep up the great vids man!
jeffery smith jr bruh just shave it, I was about 24 when I started then I stopped and I thought I beat it then around 27 when bm told me she was preg with our 3rd and we had just had my son about 3 months earlier my hair just started thinning again.. crazy thing is that it was an exgirlfriend that told me that I was thinking not my lady at home, smh...but I tried to cut it low and hang on to hope but foreal i became one of those dudes that you'd see, Well walkin around with the low cut and receding hairline that hoped I did a good enough shape up to that no one noticed, you no the type.. man own ur shit or it will own u man.. if u gotta question it then something isn't right..
I feel your pain. My lining started getting pushed back more than Dr. Dre's Detox album at age 17. Once I joined the military at age 18, it was over. Getting a bald fade haircut every other week and crawling through sand in 100+ degree weather...it only sped up the balding process. I've been bald ever since and now I'm 30 like "Should I get a man weave 🤔?"
Star B I used to watch him, but it got boring pretty quick for me. Though I did kinda like his get a dictionary stuff. I thought it was pretty messed up, but it was still very relatable cuz man... People just DON'T UNDERSTAND GRAMMAR OR SPELLING OML. Anyways, I think NigaHiga and ProZD are also in the top for me with Darius. They make great original content that appeals to, and can be appreciated by, almost anyone of almost any age. In addition to being very intelligent and funny, plus unique and creative. All 3 of them are some of the most creative people you'll see on YT. Also they respect their audiences as equal human beings. That is also very rare here. Protomario too. If you're a nintendo fanboy like me. He's awesome and all those things I said as well.
Dude you're inspiring. I'm on my way out as well lmao. But you're on your way to the top despite anything being thrown at you. Thanks for being you, bro.
Thank you Darius for this video. Im starting to see recession on my temples at 18. It doesnt look bad but i know eventually... yeah. But this video made me feel better about it.
how are you man? i was about ur age when u posted this comment. im 23 and my hair has gotten worse, i already have a appointment to shave it off though new year, new me 😅
@@putinsneighbor8351 just now seeing this. after 4 years it got worse but not to the point where I’ll have to shave it off. I just have a matured hairline that simply comes with getting older for a lot of people
Dawg... this video was very special. Made me feel good about myself lol I also feel as black man we overthink it. Black men naturally can pull off a bald look but because we think of opinions we push the idea away. Digging the channel man ima sub🙏🏽
Right there with you bro. Took mine all off back in university. I was like 20 years old at the time. Luckily I had the beard to help out lol. But now I'm 24 and haven't looked back. It's best when you accept it. Costs less to maintain, and it's quick and easy.
Sucks you felt you had to make a video on this topic. I literally do not care if you went bald early. I believe you look real handsome. I am one of your subscribers, because you add intellect into your comedy. Smart and funny is a good combo, and hard to find. Don't let hateful people get you down. Your cool 💕👍
I agree with you. Finding people who are both intelligent and have a good sense of humor is super super rare. Not just on RU-vid but everywhere. I know a lot of smart people with just the most horrendous dry humor and hearing their jokes makes me so uncomfortable. Like sorry, you're just not that funny... I hate to hurt people's feelings by not laughing at their unfunny jokes, but that's just how it has to be sometimes. And then there are those people who are quite funny but the biggest morons ever. When you're exposed to people like that irl and on the internet, you come to appreciate people like Darius Benson a whole lot more, exponentially so.
I think this video is more than him “explaining himself”. I’ve literally seen people say that this video has given them the courage to face their premature balding and shave their heads. We never know how content is going to affect others or who it’s going to touch. It just seems like it’s reaching quite a few.
I dont know who you are, or why your video even popped in my feed, but I enjoyed this video and bald looks great on ya bud! Love the editing and the writing
Thanks for sharing this! I've been shaving my head for about a month now. Do I wish I had more hair? Absolutely. But you know what? It is what it is and TBH, I kinda like keeping a shaved head.
Watching this I am 22 and I have never had more of a problem with confidence, this has truly helped me see a bit clearer that whether or not hair or no hair that people are what they believe or allow themselfs to become. The more I am consumed by my hair thinning the more I lose myself. Thank you
But you got the head for it Darius, my peanut head ass gotta keep hair on my head!! Be bald doesn’t change you bro💯💯💯 been following you from the vine days..
Man I wanted a fro so bad when I was a kid, but my parents were like "NO, you're getting a haircut because WE like your hair short." Then I started losing my hair super hard at 17. I've since told my parents that if the purge were to ever happen, we have things to discuss lol
I started balding at 32, it didn't feel good. I'd shave my head every two days Had friends suggesting lotions but I soon noticed that no one minded my baldness Lots of girls love my bald patch, that also helped me get comfortable with it Nowadays I don't even mind my mom roasting me about it
Bro I feel your pain I've been balding around the same Age too. So when you put out that vine about why you keep your hair so short, it made me feel completely better about myself and helped me accept the balding easier than I would have. Hell I'm 26 and I'm wishing I would just go completely bald right now all in one go. Just to save money on haircuts.
I started losing my hair at 24. It started to get thinner and thinner and by 28, I had a huge cowlicks on the side of my head. Kept it low cut and by 30, my hairline was non existent. Two months ago I went full bald and never looked back. The women love it.
lol...i remember the first time going bald and two of my closest friends laughed at me....two weeks later they went bald too🤣🤣🤣 ...looool..it was best remedy ever......
wabdih uhh, no. 80% is way too many people, your comment is wrong. Even if it was 80%, that wouldn't be everyone. So why did you say buttons comment was wrong. Usually people with thick hair keep it until their old
uhh learn to read. I agreed with him, but just added a statistic. Someone can have fairly good looking hair, but still experience a good amount of hair loss. Just google the stats. 80% of men lose a significant amount of hair by age 80. 40% by the age of 35. Of course, these are estimates though.
I never saw balding as a negative experience and nor will I because a large amount of people are way better looking bald than with hair as yourself darius benson.
Why do people make a big deal about hair? Just shave your head. I see people rocking the balding look and they don’t look bad at all. It’s literally not a big deal.
Thank you man. Going to go to the barbers today and get a hot towel shave. I’m confident enough now adays to not let anyone’s judgements get to me. People are going to be shook though for sure
As a fellow 26 year old bald guy. I felt this. The way you described it as "ripping off the bandaid early" is exactly how I see it. I'm dealing with and overcoming something my friends and other people my age will be forced to deal with later on in life. Ive been shaving my head the same way for 2 years and It feels fucking awesome.
