@Peace Seeker ✨ Jack Martin indeed has an incredible talent for transforming hair, especially when it comes to gray transitions. Don't be discouraged, though! There are many talented stylists who can help you transition from box colored hair to a gray tone that matches your roots. Do some research, check out reviews, and have a thorough consultation to ensure the stylist understands your vision. Wishing you the best of luck on your gray hair journey! 🌈

I got tired of having my hair colored to match the 3 shades of blonde I had, plus the cost so I let it go all natural a long time ago. I had a co worker ask me about it during the transition and I told them I was going all natural and if I didn't like it I could always get it colored. I have been all natural for at least 10 years with no regrets. My hair is white, silver, & gray and I have gotten compliments on how pretty it is.

@ThundermansThunder

For some it actually is grey, for others, it is white, some are silver, some have a mixture, but "grey" or "gray" is just a blanket term for any of those colors. I do have to agree with you, silver is gorgeous! My mother went grey when she was in her 20's, and dyed her hair for roughly 17 years. I talked her into not dying her hair and allowing it to go grey back in the early 1980's and she never went back! That was during a time that many women would have their hair "frosted," as they called it, not an inexpensive process, either, which is what some of her friends thought she was doing, while it grew out, but the joke was on them, lol! 😜

I let my natural white grow in years ago, but recently I’ve been using color shampoos and conditioners. They come in every color and they wash completely out pretty fast if you don’t refresh them. On white hair, you should only use the pastels or else the darker more vibrant tones could stain. But even then, you can get the color out without bleach, just might take a while longer. It’s a great way to change without commitment and without dye, peroxide, or bleach. But Jack Martin is the best when it comes to gray matching, he’s awesome.

I started letting my gray grow out about 15 years ago. I was 25 or 30 years older than most of my young associates and I wanted my years of experience to show. --- It took 3 tries. Twice I chickened out and colored it (I'm a brunette) and twice I was sorry. Finally I just cut it really short and let it grow out naturally. It's silver, white, and a bit of peppered in dark in the back and I'll never color it again. Took my partner awhile to come to terms with it. (His hair is stark white). Suddenly gray is stylish and women are letting their gray flags fly!

Some of the hair color videos are breathtaking, but the process is expensive and temporary. I have had terrible seborrhea for years. As an experiment I just rinsed my hair using some apple cider vinegar in water. For the first time, no seborrhea chunks, no dandruff. I think I was allergic to the materials in hair products. So my thoughts are this: we are so unhappy with our looks and want to obtain looks that we don't have naturally, and reach the unobtainable. Nothing is enough, not shiny enough, not straight enough, not curly enough. In obtaining this, somehow we damage our health. Leave yourself alone. Accept yourself, take care of yourself but don't overdo it. Be happy with who and what you are. Health is everything. We are so lucky to be alive, don't get distracted from this fact

So, are you stripping the colour dye out with some product? My son has been trying to get silver/grey hair, but bleaching just yellows and dries his hair out?

I think it’s awesome wish I could do that but ugh i have dark brown to Black hair impossible to lighten to the silver without risking serious damage

My natural hair is white in the front, and salt in pepper in the back. The texture AND volume is thin, and sparse. Menopause AND chemo was a double whammy for my hair to not have density. So I turned to topper hair pieces. Blonde with roots, made me feel better about myself because of the compliments I get on my “hair” style. Frances Fisher has a great head of hair, as the models in this stream. Please address what we, seniors with fine, thin hair, should do. It’s nice to showcase gorgeous hair, as something we all would love to have. Alas, we all were not blessed in that way.

Stopped tinting my hair. Took 2 years to grow out ( the ugly period). I've never had so many compliments on my hair color before. Women love it & men are mesmerised by the white silver colour. 😅😅 plus it's on trend...

The point is that when a person is grey all over it looks great. But when it is all mixed in with an odd patch here and an odd patch there it doesn’t look so great, imho.

I have colored my hair for 30 years and I'm wanting to go grey. My hair is very short so I'll just let it grow out and get regular hair cuts until it's all grey. I just need to know what products to use so my hair will be a beautiful vibrant grey.

I've never allowed society or the fashion industry or anyone else to "pressure" me into anything. I'm not weak or gullible that way. Couldn't care less what anyone else thinks. If I had inherited my father's pure white hair or had the gorgeous mane of salt and pepper locks that my oldest sister did I'd be gray in a heartbeat. But instead I inherited my mother's mousey, unremarkable and unflattering gray hair that makes you look washed out and invisible so I'll color my hair until I drop dead.

I stopped colouring my hair in 2019…..lockdown worked wonders on that! I find it still has a lot of its original colour, kind of a $hit brindle brown, not very appealing to me. Of course it’s growing in at the crown so it’s taking a long time….maybe a real short cut will move it along? Don’t know what to do. Have a great day everyone.

Unfortunately I can’t get my hair like this…I’m currently a dirty blonde…from a dark brunette…it was as light as they could get it without burning my hair…so I’m using a box temp dyes (the lasts 6 weeks ones) while I’m waiting for grow out…as my hair is waist length…I’ll get back to you in 3 years 🤣🤣🤣

I'm really tired of hearing grey is an aging process..many many women have started getting gray in their early teens (like myself)..and 20's 30's and 40's..when you talk like that you sound just like society!!!

exactly it has nothing to do with age and if people stopped dying it then everyone else would realize people go gray at all ages.

Hi, I have been dealing with growing out gray hair for 3 years. It gets so far grown out, a matter of an inch or two and i usually can't stand my hair 3 shades of gray, white, and yellow blonde in the length, so i color it totally to an overall ash blonde. It lasts maybe 5 weeks and then all washes out and I'm b ack to a yellowy blonde with gray roots coming in. I can use purple shampoo but it doesn't last. I was told I have to grow it out painfully for 2.5 years (I'm almost shoulder length,) before i can color it. All gray is fine. I'm not afraid of that but i was told to keep that gray, growing it out and BLEACHING out all color including the blonde is what i have to do to color it gray.I am a young looking 64, but the gray doesn't last ever and reverts back to blonde always in the length in a matter of a few short weeks. Why? What must I do? Can u help advise me? I've also done temporary c that don't last a few weeks. Is it true that i must bleach (damage) all color out and then color gray entirely? HELP!!!

Going grey can be a long and frustrating process, but it's also an opportunity for self-discovery and embracing your natural beauty. It's important to consult with a professional colorist who can help guide you through the transition. Stay patient and remember that your hair journey is unique and beautiful! 💖🌟

Just let it grow out naturally. May take a few years, but then it will be your authentic colour and not some guy giving you a quick, expensive fix, which will still leave roots needing a touch up once a month.
@heyalicia2551
@heyalicia2551 Год назад
Most likely the roots are already coming in gray. So coloring the dyed hair gray to match your roots makes it much more low maintenance as it grows out. This really only had to be done once.
