Possibly the most complex OB ever? BBC1's Going Live took the challenge of broadcasting live from a train in March 1991. Here's Sarah Greene showing us how the pictures got from a moving train (complete with Gallery and Sound on board the carriage) back to our TV screens at home.
I was 12 at the time and this fuelled my desire to get a job in telly as it looked like fun. Done a few OB's in my time but nothing as complex or exiting as this... yet! A big thank you as well to Alan Stokes who was the Sound Supervisor on Going Live who kept the recording and shared it with me to help prompt my childhood memory that led to me wanting to work in TV!
