The land to the west of Alresford was sold off quite recently which signifies that there’s no way they will buy it due to the M3 Motorway Housing Estates X2 School Playing Field and Scout Hut at Alresford being built on the former trackbed in the way and there’s no room at Winchester Railway Station for Platform 3 for the Mid Hants Railway Services because they’ll have to extend the existing railway station and the really busy existing south coast main line by adding an extra railway line for the Mid Hants Services which would be really too expensive because who owns the land anyway because the railway track would need to cross over or go under the M3 Motorway and tunnel or go round the houses and go around the schools playing field and Scout Hut at Alresford would have move and Farms would need to move somewhere else RIP😭😢😥🥺😿
When the final part of the Meon Valley Railway was getting torn up the Mid Hants Railway was being saved and rebuilt Alresford to Alton by British Railways RIP😭😢😥🥺😿
