I always wonder why you don't carry a little pocket GPS that will allow you to mark trail points, that would make it much easier to come back to spots you have an interest in.

That old coin is cool, I was detecting in a creek over here by Coulterville I found an 1892 barber time in the creek🤠

Good tip on the canvas bag. The wine cork I keep on the tip of my Marian crevice tool comes off occasionally, and I do worry about it puncturing my backpack. And what a great sample bag. Thank you Gary!

Hi Gary & Jeff, good job once again, amazing the things you find when you dig, like when we were kids digging in the backyard, fun stuff, that's great you found Indian Head pennies. Way to go Jeff with the first gold, looked like a four leaf clover. Gary, if i had to bet on a bear or you i would pick you the way you pick up those boulders and toss them like they are nothing, if a bear saw that he would run away for sure!! I went to my place 2 weeks ago and I used my new metal detector and the first thing I found just testing out my detector around our camp was a dime, then I went to a runoff wash near the camp & found an old metal wedge with hammer marks on top, probably from the days of logging, had lots of fun with the detector with pointers from you was able to figure it out some. Gary, I bought 2 of your double thick crevice tools, looks pretty tough, can't wait to try them out, going to have to try figuring out how to make an 18" crevice tool, I have a crevice that produced a lot of gold but had to stop at 12", like to get back to it with a longer crevice tool. Good idea about the crevice bag. Keep on digging you two with the vids, lots of fun watching, Thx, Sergio Ramirez

90 degrees? We're gettin snow already in Reno. Freezing temps for the next few days but we're headed out on Thurs & Sat before the next week of rain hits. Nice finds from that pit. We've been trash collectors with Geno, from our pit adventures, but were not giving up.

Gary, I love your videos! I bought a crevice tool from you about a year and a half ago and it only took a couple minutes of messing around with it to realize the interior of my pack would be no match for it, so I keep a towel wrapped and folded over the tool. Your canvas bag technique is a much better idea for quick access, I'm going to be keeping my eye out for one! Thank you for all the knowledge!

Nice finds! Our pumpkin fields are full of 1800 and early 1900s glass. We've started tumbling it into sea glass... love the colors and the oldness/history. Unfortunately we spread chicken poop and it's burning up the copper large cents. You'd love detecting the farm.....General Patton had his men set up and did training and maneuvers for a few weeks.

Nice Indian head cent. Dont clean it with anything harsh. 1864 is sort of a key date. Depending on the composition and type. If you dont keep them, I could double your money 😁 I'll have to check past videos, missed the part where you found silver.

So rare to find a coin in a hydro pit, great video! I found an 1850's wheel barrow wheel yesterday. And a pound of iron. Almost got skunked. Found two tiny little nuggets, the smallest gold that the 2300 can find, I was so happy. LOL

Well, you always seem to suggest that gold is where lead is. Did the first blue can with more lead have more gold because of weight? Were the top openings different in that someone may have been trying to disguise their findings by making the can look like garbage instead of a safe storage? Must we call MacGyver or Columbo?
