Going Over Quentyn, part 2 of 2 

I definitely enjoyed it. Really happy to see Strong Belwas, and the "we are seven" with the dragon roar is a great way to end the chapter!

Given the Tyrion 3 outline that cuts things off at a pretty dramatic moment, it seems wild to end that without more directly referencing the outcome of the plan established in this chapter. Otherwise even more time needs to be dwelling on the events of the Battle of Fire when it's already suffered from so much George bloat. Putting that aside, I adore this chapter. You've thoroughly justified why Quentyn should be kept alive. I do question that his next chapter should be him journeying along the Demon Road. The many travelogue chapters have been peak George bloat and not all that exciting. I think that's part of the reason why many haven't opened their hearts to Quentyn. His chapters sometimes feel more about the places he's in rather than about him.

I actually think more of Varys and hidden passage ways with Missandei appearing and disappearing like that

Preston asked all of the editors 1 question before they joined the project: is Quentyn alive? The ones involved got the answer right.

19:49 There's also a discussion of this in the Queenmaker chapter I believe. Darkstar considers it vengeance ("a little taste of lion blood", Arianne says it's justice and Darkstar says "call it what you will". And obviously Doran conflates them in his "Fire and Blood" speech. So the difference/conflation of these is definitely a key theme throughout, especially in Dorne. Good to see Quentyn on the moral side of it (Mercy not vengeance).

Quentyn is probably dead in the GRRM canon timeline, but I prefer the Preston canon.

That antiseptic you mention, i was listening to the first book and it's mentioned that Syrio Forel uses it on Arya when she gets cat scratches.

The more I think about it, the more I think a good justification for Belwas' deterioration would be that he's been replaced by a Faceless Man, but one who didn't grasp his cadence and perspicacity quite right. (Obviously it's a George gaffe, but it's one way to reconcile it)

What if Viserion just took off with Quentyn on his back and took him straight to Old Valyria? Kinda of a parallel to Aerea taking off on Balerion?

Interesting that Quentyn won't be staying in Meereen when Dany returns. She won't like that. I'm really intrigued with how Rhaegal will react to Victarion's dragonhorn.

Wait a second there are theories that Missandei is a faceless man???

I'm very interested in you plans with Quentyn on the Demon Road. Does he take Viserion with him? Dany will not be happy with this i imagine.
