It is my pleasure to share with you the opening and closing credits of a short-lived Miller-Boyett sitcom called "Going Places". The themes are in stereo, with the exception of the beginning of the closing. Notes are all below.
NOTES:
The closing credits are ACTUALLY reconstructed since there was no footage of them without announcers and in stereo before. At the beginning, it sounds kind of silly because I had to remove the announcer from the stereosound of the theme, after a few seconds the sound is pitch/tone perfect. The video has been found here before but with the sound in mono. The footage used was originally posted by ‪@retronewfoundland‬. Credit goes to him/her.
WARNING:
"Going Places" was produced by Miller-Boyett Productions in association with Lorimar Television (now Warner Bros. Television. WE DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS CONTENT NOR TO THE CONTENT THAT HAS BEEN USED HERE ON THIS VIDEO. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT IS INTENDED.

2 ACTORS, ONE, A PRINCIPAL CAST MEMBER AND ANOTHER, WHO APPEARED IN A GUEST ROLE, WOULD STAR IN ANOTHER MILLER-BOYETT SITCOM, STEP BY STEP.

by that, you mean Staci Keanan and Chris Castile, right?

Miller/Boyett used a lot of the same actors in their shows. Telma Hopkins was on their Bosom Buddies and then almost a decade later was offered Rachel on Family Matters by them. Doris Roberts is another one who did guest spots on a lot of Miller/Boyett shows. Cindy Williams worked with them on Laverne and Shirley and then years later was the star of their short lives sitcom Getting By, opposite....Telma Hopkins

@@MartinSmith156 Doris Roberts was a series regular for Miller/Milkis/Boyett as well, having played Theresa Falco, mother of the title character on "Angie".

@@VaultMasterDBT yup and she also guest starred on Perfect Strangers, where she was even nominated for an Emmy for her performance. Holland Taylor is another one, ok Bosom Buddies and then Going Places and Cindy Williams was on Laverne and Shirley, which Miller/Boyett produced with Garry Marshall and then years later on the short lived Miller/Boyett produced Getting By with Telma Hopkins as her co star

One of the most forgotten sitcoms in the history of ABC's TGIF block. Didn't make it past its first season, despite having a pretty good cast that went on to do much better things afterwards. Wish it would've gotten a longer run, just sayin'. Glad you posted this and thanks so much for sharing! 😇 I have a random S.A.U. related question for you. Can you please explain the (updated) backstory for "A Quest For Love"'s Elaine Farrath?

Well, I was gonna say the same thing. But now I think that it was intended to be axed after one season. Had it continued for the future, Heather Locklear wouldn’t have moved on to do Melrose Place and Staci Keanan wouldn’t have moved to Step by Step (another Miller-Boyett show) and joined Chris Castile (who guest appeared on GP.). Glad that you enjoyed this! Elaine first arrived as the new wife of Theresa Galway's (ex-) husband Joel Barnouth. Sooner or later, Theresa discovered that she was a worthless vixen who only cared about Joel's money and power (which he did not really have). She has "died" a few times. The only recognized times she died were in 1972 when she was in a "car accident" and then in that horrible earthquake that hit parts of South Ohio including the fictional Morphdale County (or Morphdale as we now refer it to). Through the show's run, she has improved in her skills and characteristics. The rest is S.A.U. history.

How long did this run? Network? Heather before Melrose i see

It ran from September the 21st of 1990 through March the 8th of '91 on ABC as part of their famous TGIF lineup. Apparently, It was one of those that didn’t last long. I put 1991 on the title and description because the credits you see here are said to be from the show's final episode.

@@EdwynNSanchezThe series was an “odd duck” given its creators, network and slotting. Miller/Boyett were known for family based sitcoms revolving largely around children and adolescents. “Going Places” was a step outside their comfort zone spotlighting ostensibly Gen-X (although the cast was mainly baby boomers) and the issues they were facing at the time both in the workplace and in their personal lives. ABC inexplicably slotted into their TGIF lineup where it had to have baffled the children and pre-teens tuning into the more kiddie friendly fare such as “Full House” and “Family Matters” as “Going Places” would’ve been beyond their comprehension in regards to context. Perhaps Miller/Boyett saw it as a companion piece to “Perfect Strangers”? Anyhow in a last ditch effort to save the floundering series, an attempt was made beginning with episode #14 to pull the show into line with the kid-friendly TGIF fare. Staci Keanan who was strangely cast in a sitcom without any other actors her age was joined by youngsters Christopher Castile and JD Daniels with the main cast becoming guardians of the latter establishing a family nucleus that allowed for family centric storylines, something that was never a part of the original concept for the show. Suffice to say the retooling didn’t work.
