I bought a Niu Kqi3 Pro about 2 years ago. Still ride it everyday, close to 5,000 miles so far. I cant wait for it to breakdown so I can buy this one.

Great video. Very well put together. How would the Inmotion S1F compare to kqi300x and the max G2. It never gets talked about but it seems like a decent contender at this price point.

Thank you! I haven’t tested the S1F yet but it looks like it’s got solid specs. If I can get my hands on one I can definitely do a comparison.

8:26 Not telling you anything you don't already know but for those who don't, the energy output over the voltage discharge curve isn't linear. So with a 48v nominal scooter, the mileage per volt at 54V is higher than the mileage per volt at 44V. Of course the same applies from 48V to 47V, it's just much less noticeable in increments as small as 1V. Combine that with a less than ideal algorithm for many of these battery display bars and it can really catch a new rider off guard. A good rule of thumb on an "out and back" trip on flat ground is to turn around at least 1V before the nominal voltage is reached. This is because only 40-45% of your total range may be available from your nominal voltage (48V) to cut-off voltage, (typically around 42-41V).
@tomsgadgetgarage
@tomsgadgetgarage 3 месяца назад
This is a fantastic explanation. Some scooters you can hit the throttle and go on a speed run and watch the bars drop in realtime then stop riding and they return to the previous level haha.
@Patriot36

@@tomsgadgetgarage Yes, that would be the perfect example of a BMS that is allowed to interpolate immediate voltage sag as the actual voltage. By simply coding a time delay component into the BMS and or telling the BMS that it can only send a .2V variance to the display every 30-60 seconds, a big squirt of throttle results in a dampened, more accurate reading to the display. In fact, the battery level display should specifically act as the filter to the immediate voltage number that sags under load but then bounces back under no load, like a quick reference moderator to the wide swings of the voltage gauge.

Nice! My guess was 27-28 miles so, cool to see that it was close. It's my understanding that it gets a little less range compared to the KQI3 Max because it has a slightly more powerful motor. I had a KQI3 Max for almost a year and about 1200mi. It was always a fantastic scooter other than the necessity for the app. I replaced it with the VX2 Pro GT for the power, hill climbing and some additional range but the NIU was always a classy and fairly portable ride. I miss the aesthetics of that scooter as I think it, along with this 300x are some of the most pleasing looking commuter scooters offered. I almost ordered the 300X when it was announced but the reliance on the app isn't a preferred feature to me, even though I know it's the trend today. Seeing you unbox this made me want one still...haha :)

Kqi3 300x has more range than the kqi3 max because it has 25% larger battery and larger tires and on long rides kqi3 300x is much more comfortable and one question for you h driven the max for 1200 MI have u had any problems on it
@Patriot36
@Patriot36 3 месяца назад
@@MohamedAbouzaid-it6gz I suspect that you're thinking of the KQI3 Pro. The KQI3 Max has the exact same 604Ah battery size as the 300X as per NIU's product page. They also show a range specification of 40.3 miles for the KQi3 Max and a range of 37.7 miles for the KQI 300X. The NIU rep states this is due to the slightly higher output motor of the 300X. So while the mileage was tested by NIU at slightly less than the MAX, it was probably going at a slightly higher speed as well. With regards to any probles while owning the KQi3 Max, the only issue I have had was needing to have the thumb throttle replaced. It showed an error code and would no longer go to max power. It never left me stranded anywhere though and I held it in high regard. A quality product for sure!

First! Let's hope this is good... Less portable than the Apollo Go but if someone wants to not go as crazy as the Apollo City while still being lightweight and more range wihout all the b.s. and complaints of the Segway Max G2, then this is an excellent scooter!

You drove with 16 miles/hour so how many km did you cover with the entire battery? Did it complete 60 km with one full charge of the battery or not? I couldn't understand completely.

@@wahidmardan I think you’ll find that most range estimates are just that, estimates. Real world range varies based on rider weight, road conditions, outdoor temperatures, wind, etc. Also, they often conduct those tests in the lowest speed mode which no one has time for lol.
@猫の仕事部屋
@猫の仕事部屋 Месяц назад
Most estimates are done at very low weight load and on the lowest speed setting with minimal acceleration and deceleration. Try riding your scooter at 9mph you will realize it goes much farther.

So far it’s held up well for me. I did run into a throttle hall sensor error while riding 9.5 miles up a mountain but it may have been caused by me over twisting the throttle lol. Haven’t been able to reproduce it since.

Woah that was close on that gravel with almost falling 😅 when i seen that my whole body ached as if it was me experiencing that lol! As for the range, 26 miles is super great for a battery that size and the fact that the scooter kept going at a good speed was excellent too. My MAX G2 slows down to like under 15Mph when it reaches about 2 bars and at 1 battery bar its practically under 10Mph and once i goe down to like 4% the scooter goes into walk mode at like 3Mph lol. That is definitely a nice scooter for sure. 😎👊 cant wait to see the hill climb test. By the way i noticed no overheating either, thats a PLUS!!!! 🙌
@tomsgadgetgarage
@tomsgadgetgarage 3 месяца назад
Yah I’ve had a few cases of “running alongside scooters” over the last year LOL. Always when taking sharp turns onto dirt paths way too fast. We’ll have to see whatever that new firmware is for the Max G2 that’s coming. Something about turbo mode for faster acceleration. And we’ll see how the hill climb goes. Always worried about overheating because of how long the incline goes for. I’m also hoping there’s no ghost braking like the Max G2 used to do. I saw you posted in ESG’s RX7 video as well haha. Things looks sick. Are you thinking of getting one?
@THEAVERAGEGUY1983
@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 3 месяца назад
@tomsgadgetgarage im debating on it because though it looks cool, i know 2 people that got it and both got it with damages to the frame and one of them said that luminance lighting panel had a crack on the stem and shocked him simply bt touching it. He also has an RS as he is part od the RS backers group and said that the RS still performs better than the RX7 but the RX7 is more modern and does get you to 65Mph if you want to go that fast without the aggressive acceleration the RS comes with stock before changing it in the settings under the app. As for the MAX G2 in Turbo mode, yeah there was some hiccups with the the beta test so they went back to the drawing board. They are trying to help get more torque to rhe rear wheel for hill climbing as ine complaint many have is how slow it is even for riders under 200Lbs it goes from like 20mph to like 12mph for some of them and then slowly creeps up to speed again. Then some experienced a random jerky acceleration with that beta test firmware. Im sure they will find a fix for that.

@tomsgadgetgarage they did give us a Bluetooth update. V1.11.0 and gave us the Hazard lights feature like the GT1. So if you double click either the left or right turn signal button, you will get Hazard lights now and to turn it off, double click the button again. 😁👍

@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 I almost pre-ordered the RX7 but based on what I'm seeing here and the forums, I feel like a dodged a bullet by waiting it out. I was disappointed to see how many issues the RX7 has, from shipping damage issues, lack of durability with the LumiLor, and several stem shifting instances. The parts spec is all fantastic with a fantastic battery but it's apparent this first batch suffered from a lot of rough assembly with many components even being smacked and dented before metal was finished... like gashed pieces that were anodized or powder coated over. Roadrunner seems like a company that will get these QC and design issues squared away, I just feel bad for the first recipients that paid so much money.
