Lovely collection! Your mother’s portrait is the best I’d say. Started watching your channel after seeing that wall mural. It’s very fetching! Beautiful home Aamna and excellent choice!
Aamna this episode makes me love you even more… I am at a loss for words…you’re a true artist…well educated…well brought up…a wonderful mother & an inspiration to humanity ❤❤❤
Can't tell you how much happier I got when you mentioned Kashmir. Watching you form Kashmir, while you were showing all these beautiful paintings, I was imagining how much I want these paintings of yours for myself. But when I saw the Kashmir frame, I realized that even if yours cannot come to mine, mine is already in yours. Love from Kashmir :)
To maintain security for all citizens, good measures are necessary. Be it lockdown or not... life is saved!! ❤ Think of many others who were slayed/ driven out of their home land in name of religiion 😢 No diversity No inclusion. 😢 If you are in Kashmir Please be kind to every religion, make it inclusive, value humanity and make sure the region flourishes as in the past 🙏
@@beatjeat4979 Well, saving lives is the last thing Indian govt. wants. It's obvious that they locked us up to stop us from voicing our misery. Also, when it comes to tolerance towards other religions, Alhamdulillah every Kashmiri has that. But if you want mothers of 70000 martyred Kashmiri men to keep on voicing up for 200 Pandits killed from 1947, obviously that's not possible. I'm sure you're wise enough to know that Indian Government had its hand in the Pandit exile. You must be knowing that when the whole subcontinent was fighting on religious grounds before 1947, Independent Kashmir never had any communal flight. Also, When we say We want Freedom, we say it for everybody - Muslims, Pandits, Sikhs, Buddhist, Christian and everyone else. Thank you 💞
@You Tube 👍 Glad to hear your views. From what I see/hear from far, Afghanistan seemed much worse, was in total chaos, people falling off planes! Last of the Sardar community had to leave the country. 0 Sardars 😲 what a shame 😢 Every other community is getting destroyed 1 by 1.... Whatever the religion may say, no one's following except handful like you. Sad to know there are hard ships for you, I hear there is lot of investment ... in billions by Saudi & others. $$$ wise better than Pakistan. Hang in there, can only wish good for you. We need more kind hearted people like you to *take action*
The four prints of your father and his painting of your mother are out of this world. What a beautiful house that you've made into a home with the carefully curated art works! Abida Parveen Jee's print is beautiful 😍
Amna i could listen to you for hours; i could learn from you a river! you have a very 'zen' energy around you; so calming and motivating at the same time. Your intellect and ideas are almost therapeutic, your little stories are like a novel that I would never want to end!
Thank you Aamna for letting us into your home And sharing these objects of sentimental value. My favourite piece was the one by Murtaza. It is a reflection of the most selfless love that a child feels for his or her mother. Another one that struck a cord was the cartoon on the Kashmir lockdown.
Beautiful collection! Thank you for sharing your personal and emotional attachments with the paintings. Really wants to know about your parents love story. ❤
Love the amazing collection of artwork that you have. I myself am a young 16 year old artist currently working on a 15 piece portfolio focusing on social issues faced by women of the Indian Subcontinent. They way you have cared for these strong and meaninful pieces of art makes me want to gift you one of my own paintings.
So serendipitously I was working in this artwork as I enjoyed the tour of your life through the artwork on your walls. I was always intrigued by the pcs I saw during HR or HB. Thank you for being so generous with your share. Appreciate it. (Edited to add: I don’t see how to photograph my artwork and add it to the comment. So sorry that I am referring to it but can’t share it here. If you would like to view I can DM you on insta). Thanks again.
What a beautiful collection you have Aamna. It’s just not art but all your paintings have a story behind them that’s what make them more beautiful. ♥️♥️
Hi Amna! I love your wall. It will always be in my memory because Something's Haute has been a companion in my lonely journey of living in the US. It's like listening to two friends talking as I go about my morning routine of making chai. Whenever I have the agency of painting my wall, I'll definitely be taking inspiration from the one that you have. Lots of love.
Amna, I'm about to graduate in a few months InshaAllah and I can so relate to the painting you gifted Musa on his graduation. I love how everything has a story, sentiment, connection to it. This is how i would want to decorate my house at some point in life InshaAllah. Keep these videos coming, they have such a good feel to them. :) love
Aah Aamna! You won me over today. All your art work are such a feast to the eyes. I wish I had that eye to select good art work and then display it as well. Sometimes the way you frame it and display it also makes a world of difference. But what won me over is the art work on Goddess Durga, which has adorned your wall and not hidden away. Your outlook on what it stands for - empowerment and power, for friendship , for the memory of your trip to India, for having a healthy respect for everyone!! I strongly believe in live and let live. Have a healthy respect for all religions. Apart from that I absolutely love your fathers painting of you mother. It so beautiful and such a ode of his love to her. Without knowing their love story - I can see the love in his painting. Thank you for sharing Aamna!
Your home is really giving a positive vibe! The colours you hv chosen for the walls are actually great to reflect light that's giving more positive feelings.
Loved the tour and artwork. Your mother’s painting was my favorite. Knowing that it’s your mother in the painting, and it’s painted by your father, added more charm and magic to it. I love you put goddess Kali painting as well with others and included it in the tour. My other two favorites were ‘The Jungle queen’ and ‘Silver Lining’ painting. I was always curious about that wall we see behind Hassan in all the reviews. It’s gorgeous! Thank you so much for the tour. ❤❤❤
All the paintings off course are valuable in your home n have significant but the epic painting in all your house is a pic of your mom painted by your paa...The most valuable, precious and beautiful 👌👌
First of all amnaa u have a beautiful collection of paintings n ur abode looks so peaceful as it has white walls .The painting that has actually touched me is the painting of a woman hugging another woman. It conveys such a beautiful message n that's how every woman should be..such a masterpiece it is
Great Amna ji, it’s really nice to see such a beautiful collection of art specially one your father painted of your mother. All the sentiments and values you have shared were greatly depicted your emotions towards them.
Looks absolutely lovely! Loved all of them, especially the ones with the calligraphy! Hope you take us through another tour focusing on the furniture as well...especially the pieces at 2:38 and 12:05.

Ma Sha Allah everything was just wow.... But the one your Abu made for his wife is just mind blowing.... I wish to see your parents pictures when they were young.... 😍 And the recent one too... May Allah keep them healthy Ameen.
Such a thoughtfully curated space, lovely to hear the thought behind the process. Have placemarked several of the artists, very much wishful thinking at this point in life :)
Really enjoyed this video, love your home Aamna, thank you, its a big deal to share your personal space with the world. Allah apko khush rakhe hamesha and may colours always surround you ❤️❤️
Loved some of your art pieces ,as art is what we embrace with emotions! Your fathers pieces were particularly endearing! I also loved your two with the veiled women with animals in the background! Powerful! Mine is an eclectic of emotions of Banksy’s anti war print, Frieda Kallo, some indigenous aboriginal dream time paintings, the Chinese terracotta soldiers, Papyrus of Egyptian deities, and a commissioned one in acrylic by a local artist, of my late cat! I fell in love with a calligraphy piece at the Khanil Khalili market, didn’t know what it meant but was drawn to it, later as I became more involved studying comparative religion( as a hobby): a learned Muslim lady who was my mentor, told me it is Ayatul Kursi! Thank you for sharing your art pieces!🌹😍
Lovely artwork,I am big fan of paintings and artwork, it is so nice to see all these wonderful pieces of artwork, I don't have so much of artwork but I have to one my daughter painted and one her friend
Aamna Thank you for showing your collection. I'm going to steal some of your ideas ;) like my husband writes poetry and I'm going to get it framed :D ....But what I love the most is that I got to know about a lot of artists that I were not aware of (apologies for being so ignorant). Sana Kazi is one such example. Thank you for showing it all.
Aamna Hi - Lovely stuff. Thanks for sharing. Both your parents are amazing artists. PS: Quick tip: Please use non-reflective glasses when framing your art. :)
I have a huge collection of paintings at home and all painted by my son&daughter.I feel very emotional about them because they represent different occasions.I wish I could share them with you
I watched this 19.25 mins video in 29 mins , pausing at every space & enjoying it. Even the red trunk at ur entrance & yellow green Japanese art cabinet is stunning. Thankyou so much Aamna for sharing it with us. Enjoyed every bit of it. Loved the idea of putting ur parents’ work in the entryway. Their style of painting seemed kind of similar and it’s beautiful. Loads of love from India❤️
Few mins into this video made me subscribe this channel....even though I have Been following Amna and Hasan's Something Haute...I wasn't able to watch this channel of her's and I would like to stress that AMNA IS SOOOOOO SWEEET....SHE TALKS SO LOVINGLY.....I WISH I KNEW HER PERSONALLY...... Ma sha Allah tabarakAllah your house and the collection is beautiful! 😍 I am an admirer of masjid architecture around the world myself and Alhamdulillah I have captured some lovely pictures.
I’m from India and Hindu also the painting of god kaali had shown that you have so much respect for the other religion and always ma’am your thought of every sides of life will make me thought a different perspective ❤you are a inspiration for so many girls 👧 just love you ma’am ❤and the other point I noticed is that you surrounded by so many talented people that’s added you so many things for sure that means friends and family will affect on your thinking (environment )
This is soooo beautiful,as recently moved into my 1st home I can completely understand your feelings, all the pieces are awesome, yes emotional attachment matters a lot,I've also put one of Nani's own awesome hand embroidered work in my entrance too just so relatable and I guess that's why we love you soooo much, wishing you all the very best, stay blessed and keep smiling, you are truly an inspiration for us ladies specially who are surviving after their horrible marriage and divorce, keep it up ❤❤❤❤
I knew that was Hong Kong! I have lived there for sometime, so thought I recognized the cityscape. Beautiful collection, Aamna. You have an artist’s eye.
