This. 💯💙💪 Country music has been ---- for a while, with rare exception. I'm old and remember reeeaally racist country songs on Dixie jukeboxes. This is taking it back. Paz y luz ✨
Well, I met the devil at the crossroads And I asked if we could make a deal He seemed puzzled, so I told him the story And he said, "None of that shit's real" It's true, I met Robert Johnson He showed me how the blues could work But white men would rather give the devil praise Than acknowledge a black man's worth
I listened to your album for the first time over the weekend, and it is a salve for my soul. As a southern man with queer and trans folks in the family, this record's motifs of social criticism and forgiveness-- its reclamation of a voice and a sound-- make it one of the most refreshing works I have heard in such a long time. Thank you for this. Excited for Big Ears.
Saw you in Philly with my brother when you opened for The Mountain Goats. Damn if I haven’t been catching myself singing ‘Do you wanna go to Heave? NO! Do you wanna go to Hell? Ok.’ To myself. Great work.
@@AdeemtheArtist curious to see which devil people like the most. Let’s check back 3 months after December 2.. thus far, it’s neck -n- neck. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IGgz2X0smbU.html
I've been meaning to listen to you, and well, it seems to be happening this afternoon. Great stuff. Are you still out of my hometown, Knoxville? I'm in Portland, Oregon now--hope you'll come out and see us!
On the way to hell there's two paths. You either take the pole while listening to Call Me By Your Name or you take the long road on a car where this plays. Its a one way trip so pick wisely lol. I would be so conflicted ngl
I just heard this song for the first time coming from my car and it was at the Robert Johnson line and I knew before I looked it was this Adeem the Social Justice Warrior Artist guy.
