If you want a proper guide go check out vids from Abroad in Japan (Chris Broad), dude makes awesome guides, my trip was more free flow and doing whatever with a few bookings here and there. We went from Canberra to Sydney, Australian then flew to Osaka, then Kyoto for the fushimi inari shrine, manga museum, failed Nara trip because of rain, then to Tokyo where we explored places like Shibuya, Akihabara, Shinjuku. Real life anime locations from Your Name (Kimi no na wa) the suga shrine in yotsuya and the jujutsu kaisen kfc near shinjuku station. Universal studios japan with super nintendo world and wizarding world of harry potter. Pokemon centers. Tried lots of japanese food in japan and convenience food from seven eleven (7-eleven), family mart and lawson. We went before the geisha tourist ban. Can see most of our japan travel itinerary here.
