Well done what an honour Bruce his wife and son will never forget and well done to wains transport some firms don't recognise their staff but these do seem to
When i used to hitch up to a trailer i would always check between the jaws of the 5th wheel to make sure the metal bar had locked across the pin. The sight of the bar across the pin was 100% certain that that trailer would not drop onto its knees. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi Jemma love it was very good of your boss to get you to take his son to the prom. And also for your boss son to learn the ropes at the company and working on the trucks aswell and i hope that boss son does really well when he is ready to takeover the company and make him dad very proud 👍👍 thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍
Morning Gemma. What a cracking video, I did exactly the same thing for my daughters prom all off her friends was turning up in cars and I took her in an Artic unit, although it was a little tight going around lands End. 😊
I wanted to do something similar for my daughter, who had her prom a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to secure a job yet as a new pass class 2 driver since I passed at the start of June.
Great video Jemma 👍. Nice to do something out of the ordinary, I'm sure he'll remember that for the rest of his life, well done. Looking forward to the next one, take care and mind the drains 😉
When I was at school, Proms weren't really a thing. When they started becoming popular, I wasn't keen on the idea, thinking everyone is just trying to out do each other and those who can't afford such luxuries may feel awkward or even shamed by the other students. But I got that wrong! You could hear the other students commenting, amazed seeing that lad in the cab. They're all just happy for each other. He was definitely the most original with his choice.
That was nearly the perfect day, everything going ok in the morning then a first class job as a cheuffer in the afternoon, then spoilt by roadworks, it must be a nightmare when you hit a diversion and driving a truck what with weight limits low bridges etc. Hope you have a nice weekend Gemma and Ryan.
Another enjoyable vid as always Jemma, you could see how happy he was arriving in the truck, my daughter left school a couple of years ago and got dropped off via a limo, although she would have been happy on the tractor, and if they had proms when I left school I would have been dropped off in a Ford 6600 and not a John Deere as Fords were our tractor of choice back when we had a dairy farm sadly no longer farming anymore, anyway hope the diversion wasn't to much of a hassle to get around and also hope you have a great weekend.
Thank you jemma for another great video love all off your videos you are truly English rose lots off Love from Dublin🇮🇪would love to meet ya sometime❤️
Great to see your vids. Had a girlfriend back in 1990 who had an HGV licence but nobody would employ her because she was a woman. So glad to see things have changed, although too late for her...
Well that certainly made a difference to several peoples day! You all enjoyed it and it made the day ultra special for the lad, good luck to him. Shame about the diversion, folk have a habit of putting them on just as the day is getting quieter. Thanks for sharing you day out, very enjoyable.
je crois que dans une autre vie, j'aimerais être camion, pour être bichonné comme !! 😂😂😂 I believe that in another life, I would like to be a truck, to be pampered like!! 😂😂😂 Thank you, Jemma, for yours videos.👍👍👍👍 😘
Great video. Leaving school is big business now, I left on a Friday and started my indentured apprenticeship on the Monday. No celebration or prom, and no alcohol 😢
I WOULD CALL YOU A FANTASTIC HUMAN BEING ,lovely PERSONALITY, EXTREMELY GOOD LOOKING. IN TOP SHAPE, AM I CHATTING YOU UP HELL NO, i AM 85 YEARS OLD, i MEAN EVERY WORD YOUNG LADY. GOD BLESS LIVE LONG AND HAPPY.Briddy. UK.
I passed my class one when i was 21 learning with a crash gearbox . when i passed i drove punching fridges all over europe. i stopped driving in 2000 and never drove a truck since. i recently sat in a modern truck. whether is because iam 60 i was petrified of having to drive something so big. these cabs are so big and high. respect Jemma. anyone looking for a electric milk float driver i should be good with that. You made sams day pretty girl in a nice truck.
Phwoar !!! You’re simply amazing, beautiful and funny. What a brilliant way to arrive at the prom 🙂. Lunch looked very appetising. You’re a great driver, keep the good work up 🙂👍❤
Hi jemma, really enjoying your videos. I've just stopped driving after nearly 40 years to look after my wife. A few years ago, when I worked for DHL I drove a unit and trailer for our local school carnival. Did it for 6 years. Really enjoyed it but my god it was difficult at times. When your used to walking or driving your car around our village, it's so weird doing it high up. They put the two artics at the back just in case we couldn't make it around some corners and got stuck!! When people ask me what was the most precious load I've carried, I always say '70 children'!!
Hey Jemma , it was great seeing Woodbury Park G.C , my brother used to work there for Nigel Mansell when he bought and developed it , it's a lovely spot down there !
Never driven a truck. When i was on the backdoor as Sainsbury we had a lady driver would have been around 1987. She would back into the loading bay in one and was one (it was known as the black hole of calcutta in sunshine) of the hardest driver worker we had. Most men drivers stood and watched you tip, she got stuck in as well. Very small lady with long blond hair, gave as good as she got as well. Different days then it was all men drivers that did not like to see ladies at the wheel. Keep the videos coming always a good watch. She drove a leyland roadtrain, nearly forgot to say what lorry it was.
Best of luck and fortunes to the young people, they might have finished school, but hope they are up for the learnings of life and the great adventures and joy life can bring, when they put effort into getting it.
Great video Jemma! I don't know anything about trucking, apart from your wonderful videos, but the care and attention to detail in polishing your tractor unit, for an important event, does you and Wains a massive credit. Well done!
I was lucky to do this for my daughter in 2019 - I had wanted to do it for ages and truly expected the answer to be no when I requested use of the truck for the day but the boss said yes and have to say it was something I won’t forget. Lovely cars dropping kids off but the truck really did stand out from everything else and wasn’t expected by anyone either 😊
This is a funny video. After an easy half day the journey to the prom was interesting. The young gentleman was handsome, very well dressed and we can say his ride was probably the coolest. Although the tractor was nifty too. It's great you could add an awesome experience to his important day. I'm sure he and his family will never forget this amazing event. Fantastic work as always on all fronts Jemma.
I can only imagine how great that must of felt taking someone in your truck to their Prom, with all those people there 😁 I bet the lad got lots of cool 😎 points for that 😂 Also nice to see someone else that gets out to have a look at the fifth wheel before fully engaging when hitching a trailer 💯👍
When you find a video from a RU-vid reccomendation and it mentions andover... and it turns in to your latest must watch. Great channel and how nice does jemma come across.
Gemma what a awesome video thanks for sharing. What a awesome way to go to the Prom your truck looked fantastic lucky lad. You will have made his day, thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Proms weren't invented when I left school in 1961 , besides I couldn't get out of it quick enough ,,Couldn't wait to get to work , haha within a week I was working on a Dairy ,, I was 13 1/2 , and getting 7 Quid a week 5 quid board ,, 2 quid net pay 😞
Hi Jemma, Glad you have had a good day, it always rains when you wash and polish😢. Isn’t it a pain in the bum when they don’t follow up with the diversion signs.👋🏻👋🏻Jon🇦🇺
Nice vlog , from a skilled driver .....surprised that you actually exist , cause on FB , I got some friend request , and did not expect it to be a real person( which I still think )
Hi Jemma, can you get rid of the dead body on your camera please. It puts me of my cornflakes 😂😂😂. You say that your health is deteriorating I presume that is because of your long hours. I am a loner I prefer my own company to most other people. Is that you and does your mental health suffer as well? Watching your answer the questions time you seemed to be a bit uptight and not enjoying it. Keep well Jemma and take care. Jon 🇦🇺
Hi Jemma That was a different day a bit tight getting around the Woodbury Park Hotel. Reminds me of a Manager in our company using a brand new Removal Van as his mode of transport for his wedding. Great video as always Regards Crawford
I just love watching your videos, but I never knew your truck as a limo in disguise, cool job. I bet you felt sad after all this cleaning of your truck just to get it dirty again, but it was a good reason. Love to see you reversing into the places you tip Jemma, you know what you are doing, may I ask how long you been driving trucks and Ty for another good video..
Just found your Video's good to watch as I first drove tippers back in the 60s. Quite a bit has changed since then ha! ha! but I would like to see more of your driving instead of so much timelapse.
Hi Jemma I have watched a few of your youtube videos now, and I did not realise that you could take so many different types of load with your trailer. When I say that I mean that if you are carrying food items like grain I thought that you could only carry Wheat Oats and Barley and not stone or shale in the same trailer. Also I really enjoy youir videos as it shows how hard a truck drivers life really is. Espciaially with the amount of traffice there is around these days.
They are good at closing roads and not making the diversion route obvious for trucks. It doesn't effect the planners when it adds on loads of time to your journey. It seems to be never ending on the A35 at the moment and what pees me off is when the decide to do road works on a diversion route.Downside about night driving.
Not the first time a truck was used as a conveyance for prom - I saw a video where a long wheelbase Peterbilt 362 cabover was used by a teen to bring his date to prom in the US.
Jemma keep the nice videos coming love watching your channel hope to see you out on the road one day and get a picture of you truck as I do a lots of truck spotting and truck show I am off to one this weekend at the Hertfordshire showground the trucker weekender it on 14th 15th and 16th I am going on Saturday plus I mostly truck spot on the M1 at I live in hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire
Hi jemma was very nice of you to deliver that smart young man to the prom. He will remember that now for life . And in September he starts in his father's foot steps as a heavy truck mechanic. Jemma you did a lovely job washing and polishing your tractor unit for the big occasion glad 5he rain almost heid off . What a day for you but you did well jemma
My Son just had his Prom and I would have loved to have taken him in my Truck...but i didn't want to ask as I have only just started with the firm. I wasn't beaten though as I own a 5m Rib boat, so my Son and his mate turned up on that....they loved it and they won most original arrival.....it was class..
At my daughters prom you had the usual limo's and posh cars but the two that stood out for me were , 1 the mother bringing her son on a harley davidson trike and 2 the lad holding all the traffic up dressed in top hat and tails being pushed along the road by about 5 of his friends in a shopping trolley lol
Impressive to see you driving that big lorry .I am nearing needing a career change and i am thinking about driving hgv as my son is a hgv driver .Liked and subbed .
