I’ve been driving trucks in the uk since 2009 with the bulk of the work being farm delivers and collections. I started on milk collections from dairy farms and now do grain collection and feed delivery.
My job is also kind of my hobby and I drive in my local town carnival in Bridgwater, Somerset. It’s not your average carnival and in my opinion you won’t find a better free show anywhere else in the UK. It’s a carnival that is over 400 years old and pretty unique
Hai Gemma, was weer een mooie vlog met mooie beelden van het lossen en laden de route was mooi smalle wegen naar de losplaats toe ik heb weer ervan genoten bedankt ervoor tot de volgende vlog gr carel uit Holland
I forgot to ask you,do you have c,b ,two way radio in truck over there,Here in Australian we can talk to the loader driver or as you say shovel driver, and talk to other trucks or mate that we may past on highway.
I don't want to piss on your possible parade but please don't believe you will get offered a class 1 job with a V8 Scania doing tramping work in the 1st 1-2 years, you might get depending on where you live agency work with boring old supermarket shift work but otherwise you may have to settle for class 2 work. Also remember if your not married to the job IE enjoy spending 3-15 nights away from home you may hate it, I loved it. But good luck.
Really enjoying these videos, Jemma. Thanks! Hope you're doing okay and not working *too* hard. Your boss certainly gets their moneys worth out of you. You're an absolute star and deserve a BIG pay rise⭐👍. Thanks again! 🤗
Fair play to you Gemma , those two farm's in North Wales (Gogledd Cymru) are regular deliveries for our haulage firm . There the best place for an artic to deliver. We are based in North Wales, but reload Hay and Straw back from the South east and Norfolk regular. Stay safe Cariad 🤠🏴✊
just subscribed jemma. spotted you a week or so ago, you was on the gordano services roundabout, i was just coming onto the roundabout from portishead, i gave you a wave but i dont think you saw me, i was in a blue tazrock scania with a six axle low loader trailer.
I visited there, borrowed a mates static caravan, very nice and the beaches were beautiful. amazing that you drove such a big rig into those small roads. Great video and stay safe out there.
Sunday 23rd June 24, I’ve just walked along the front at Lyme Regis not realising you’d been there for the carnival. When I got back to the house where I’m staying I came across this video. Amazing that you drove the tractor unit along there 😊, awesome.
I hope to meet you in person one day. Women are truly a TIGER... I love you. I offer my endless greetings to your family, I love them too for supporting you.
Hi Jemma. Hope you are well. Thought I shared a little piece of tarmac with you a week last Wednesday. I was driving up the A41 going to Chester to see Dale Watson and his Lonestars and what flashed by going southbound - a Wains Transport artic !!! I watched your latest video but I don't think it was you. Do Wains have many trucks? Keep on with your great videos. I love em❤
Hi Jemma you do some amazing videos and work. I've noticed you do majority of your cooking in the microwave, have you thought about giving guidance and recipes for microwave cooking ? You seem to make some good dinners. I'm probably like majority or trampers gave a microwave but definitely don't use to full potential Alm the best, keep up the good work. Ian
Great work ethics and extremely efficient operation. You're an excellent narrator too. Videos like this gives better understanding of the hard work that goes behind the scenes and what HGV drivers face on the road which is useful for car drivers so that we can be more considerate and help each other.
I hate backing into a building in daylight! If I don’t have someone on the radio guiding me I get out and look about 3 times.😂 I can’t help it… I’m scared to death that I might hit something
Hi Jemma, thanks for the IG follow, I look forward to meeting up with you some day and would like invite you to dinner if and when we do, as you know I’m an ex Head chef of many decades and like to cook my own meals in my lorry rather than get unhealthy fast foods, we could maybe try hook up for a layby dinner date at some point in the future! ….
HI Jemma You do get around on this video , trying to find the farm in Wales must have been a nightmare not knowing what you would come up against on the narrow roads . As you say the view from the cab is well worth it. When are you going to get the windscreen replaced look like the chip and now become a long crack. Idea for new books Jemma's scenic road trips Jemma's cook book 🙂
