I love seeing Lahoma in these videos. She's always full of energy and good humour. It's so sad that Nelson died without getting to use these videos. RIP Nelson.

And, finally, notice that even though Michael sent Keoki to Kenny for the tickets, HE is the one passing them out--not Keoki. So Keoki got the tickets, dutifully gave them to Michael, and then Michael passed out Keoki's ration for the evening. Lord have mercy. Sign of things to come, IMO.

Why does this feel like watching home movies from a past life?

I caught a superbug at this event. My colon will never be the same but it was worth it.

And lol that Michael sent Keoki to Kenny to get the drink tickets! He was sooooo crafty. First, he almost called Keoki by his Christian name, but then he stopped himself because he remembered that the camera was on him. This is before he got into heroin (at which point he would not have given a shit, most likely). Watch him VERY closely at 3:20 - 3:23. He makes a sign to Keoki. He puts his pointer finger to the palm of his left hand, like a pen on paper, telling Keoki, "Go to the list [to get us drink tickets]." At first I thought maybe Keoki was mad at Michael because he walks right by him in the video without acknowledging him... Then I realized that Keoki was--as was so often the case--doing Michael's bidding. My recollection is that Kenny and Michael didn't get along so well at this point. I don't think Michael wanted to share the spotlight with ANY other Klub Kid, and Kenny was already recognized as a superstar celebutante at this point, so Michael could be kinda' bitchy towards Kenny. And you KNOW Kenny wasn't tryin' to hear THAT shit!! So I'm SPECULATING that this is why Michael sent Keoki to get the drink tix from Kenny: Keoki was generally pleasant, and I can't imagine Kenny and Keoki not being street-nice to one another, at least. Kenny especially--because he was, is, and will always be a class-act, IMHO (although I haven't seen him for the better part of a decade because I left the City in 2012, after 9/11).

By bad: When Michael fake-coughs at 3:35 and Kenny looks up and says something to him, it feels like they're cool. So this was a different period of time than the one I had in mind, I'm guessing.

The blitz kids and the New Romantics' will always trump the late 80's- early 90's New York club scene any day.
