I just want to give a shout out to all my fellow lab workers! I work in a genetics lab that helps test for genes to help doctors figure out what treatment would work best for their cancer patients. Lab workers are usually forgotten but are so important for healthcare! Even with all the long hours, weekends, and holidays we love what we do and how it helps others get answers. Thanks for doing so much for others ❤️

Hey Colleen! While I was attending college at Penn State, I participated in THON. THON is a 46 hour dance marathon to raise money to battle childhood cancer. THON makes sure families that are apart of the Four Diamonds foundation do not see a single bill for treatment and other finances. It also provides a lot money towards research as well. Last year we raised over $13.7 million! I thought this might be something you would like to check out or donate to!!

Colleen I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart. My little cousin was unfortunately not a survior to his Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia; I remember always going out and volunteering at the fundraisers trying to help raise money for research. Now over a decade later I'm working in cannabis for him and other family that need it for medicine. I can't imagine how many more pain free days he might've had before he left had he had access to medicine. (Thankfully medical is legal in over half of the US now 🥳) But yeah just this whole vlog is amazing. I watch every day and I hardly comment but ya got me in tears so here I am. Also going to watch Weed the People right after I finish this vlog. Thank you again, you (and everyone else in the vlogs) make the shitty days better. 😊

Dude. I just started using delta8 about a year ago and it is the first REAL relief from my chronic pain I have been battling since I was 7. I am 35 now. After nearly 30 years Cannabinoid usage has given me parts of my life back that I thought were lost. If it can help these kids not have to live through what myself and many others have had to then, we really need to support the research behind it.

I had childhood thyroid cancer and my sister who is 13 is fighting brain for over three years now. Thank you so much for all that you do currently sobbing from appreciation lol. Thank you for everything you do. My friend Autumn just passed away after being told she only had 2 months to live in November bc she didn’t want to suffer through anymore treatment. She passed about a week ago from a rare stage 4 sarcoma cancer. She had just graduated highschool a couple months ago. She would have loved to hear this 🥹❤️

I have been watching you since I was in elementary school and now I'm in high school and it feels like youve almost raised me. I live in a different state from all of my extended family and have always felt a disconnect from especially the younger side of my family because of it. Flynn and my baby cousin were born 2 days apart so it has felt like I'm watching her grow up through him. Today was her 4th birthday which is always kind of sad for me because I haven't been to any of her parties since I live so far away but I'm glad I get to see what type of milestones she in near through Flynn and get to be there in some way. I love you're videos and love watching you and your kids grow

Hi Colleen I had leukaemia when I was nine and I am in remission now! It is so amazing all you do for kids cancer awareness and how you practically hel children who are suffering. I know when I was in hospital if people came in to see me it made my day so much brighter in a time that was very dark. Thank you so much

I just watched the documentary Colleen was talking about. I’ve never cried that hard in my life. It’s devastating that kids have to go through this.

I'm a childhood cancer survivor. It came back 2 times after the initial diagnosis and my chances of survival was only 20%. But now I am 7 years cancer free and trying to join the Navy which is a life long dream of mine.

I am an adult with cancer, who knits/ crochets gloves and hats for cancer patients undergoing treatments. I love bringing awareness to all cancers.

I love you...and I love you more since watching this. My mom was a professional snuggler volunteering to hold babies who had no one to love them. Also I got such a chuckle that you look like you have been body building with how your sweater bunched up inside the sleeve of your jacket. I needed to smile so badly thank you for being such a kind generous human.

Thank you so much Colleen for caring enough to bring awareness to childhood cancer my sister is childhood cancer survivor, (unfortunately she still is sick an still has cancer) but she’s lived 18 years since her diagnosis. I hope an pray one day, I can start my own foundation to give back just as much if not more, like so many has done for family, that has helped us through the years. It takes a tons of effort time an money, to save the lives of theses children who get that type of diagnosis, we probably wouldn’t have made it, my parents would have lost everything, If not for the different people who’ve helped us over the years, when my sister got sick, it changed everything, so I am forever Thankful an grateful to people like you Colleen! That make a point to raise money for people like my sister.

Tip for the elf on the shelf, whenever anyone touches it and it loses its magic, put cinnamon on it and it gains its magic back! So hopefully this can stop Flynn from being devastated again.

Colleen I don’t know if you know about this but there is a foundation in Israel called save a child’s heart and basically what it does is it flys kids and one of their parents from underfunded country’s in the Middle East to Tel Aviv to receive treatment for the heart problems for free. I got a chance to hang out with the kids and they are all so cute. It just kinda reminded me of your fundraiser

No matter how much I'm struggling this time of year, I will always donate. August- February is always tough financially for me, but for these children and families it's tough all year. They deserve better, thank you Colleen!

colleen is such a testament to the saying that the only way through hard times, is just that, through them. last year, we watched her go through her pregnancy, birth, and nicu journey, all of which seemed impossibly overwhelming, difficult and long and it's so special to see her and her family on the other side of that. truly a reminder that better days are always ahead❤️

I love the 'elf on a shelf', what a lovely, fun and beautiful way to bring magic and creativity into your children's lives. My mom was a kindergarten teacher and an artist. She was always bringing that same joy, magic, adventure and wonder I to my life (and my best friend). In fact at 68 we both still fill that joy in our hearts when we relive those memories. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I used to volunteer at medical facility residences all the time! I've since become disabled so I'm not able to right now but I do miss it.❤ And fire departments usually have presents for the community and you can volunteer to wrap presents.😊

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, for informing people of the types of cancer treatments our kids are receiving. Everyone now days thinks that we have all these amazing chemotherapy drugs for cancer, but when it comes to childhood cancer, they are SLACKING. Our kids deserve so much better!!

Thank you so much for guiding me to the documentary, I found it very informative. My mother had cancer and succumbed to it. Children are not fully grown so it's much harder on them so the documentary points out a lot of good points as to why we should help the children and how to do so.

I learned all about childhood cancer funding issues after Taylor Swift released the song “Ronan” and I started following Ronan’s mom online. Warning…if you listen to the song, you will cry. A lot. (Yes, Ronan is my real last name lol, which is why I was so curious when Taylor suddenly had a song with my name as the title)

these fundraisers over the years have inspired me so so much! now every year on my birthday i donate to childhood cancer similarly to you! and i cant wait to be able to volunteer when i turn 18 thank you for being this inspiring amazing woman

I don't volunteer with kids with cancer but I do volunteer with babies in the NICU I am called a "baby cuddler" I would highly recommend this to anyone! I lost my daughter in December of last year at 6 weeks and it has helped me so much to snuggle little babies whose parents cant be there to love them .

My sister is a scientist for a company that is creating new cancer meds just for kids. Kids have been last priority when it comes to cancer research unfortunately so they started a company just to focus on the kids. Hopefully better meds will be available soon!

Omg I just finished watching the documentary and it was heartbreaking and amazing at the same time!! Sophie is adorable and it’s mind boggling that these doctors and oncologists see with there own eyes how much cannabis is helping there patients yet no one is changing anything. Thankfully Mara is there doing her work to help these families and my heart broke when I found out about AJ 😢…thank you for recommending it!! love this vlog! I started volunteering at the hospital near me a few months ago! I am taking shifts helping out in the mom and baby section, and in one year, I get to move to the NICU to cuddle the sweet tiny babies ❤️❤️❤️ Its been a dream of mine to be able to do this ever since my oldest was in the PICU/NICU for his first 6 weeks of life!

Hello Colleen! I’m really behind on your vlogs, but whenever someone asks me what I want to do I say “I want to be a pediatric omnitrician” because I think every year around Christmas time, most kids are thinking about what is gonna be under the tree but there are kids fighting for their lives, sure they want gifts but honestly they’re fighting for their lives, I find that devastating. I have always wanted to do something that helped people, or makes a difference in someone’s life and about two years ago I started researching childhood cancer, and it makes me so happy that you spread awareness. So thank you for making a difference and not just using your big platform for money but for a good cause.

I really wish I could donate this year because this cause and any cause that has to deal with supporting cancer awareness means a lot to me. I lost someone who in the year that I knew him impacted my life more than I ever thought someone could at that time. I've kept living my life and now have a partner and a beautiful daughter and dog who I consider my son (lol) but I've never forgotten him and the patience and happiness he had in a time that he was going through more than I've ever even been through till this day...in the past I've tried to donate anything I could, but unfortunately I'm not working because I'm blessed to be a stay at home mom and times are tough for us just like many others. I know you'll never see this, but thank you so much for raising awareness. ❤

Commenting to echo some of the other comments on here! I work in cancer research fundraising and people truly do think that funding is never ending. Organizations like Head for the Cure are trying to focus on pediatric brain tumors, but the research is so narrow that even finding centers to grant to is a challenge. DIPG is the number one cancer related killer in children, beating leukemia. But people don't know about it except for when people like you raise awareness of it! Thank you so much for your work!

As a cancer patient of 4 years I really appreciate all you do and all your hard work. I have a rare cancer called Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) which means there is no specific treatment for it, having childhood cancer is really difficult because you miss on a lot of things. Sometimes I want to go out with my friends and go to school but I can’t because of my restrictions. I stay at home most of the time watching your videos. I was actually cancer free for a couple months, but it returned. I’ve had multiple surgeries to attempt and get rid of it but it won’t work, I finish radiation today and start chemotherapy after Christmas. I’ve grown my hair and taken care of it really well since it grew back so I’m a little bummed about that but it’s all okay. I really appreciate all you do for childhood cancer ❤❤

I just watched the documentary Weed the People. The one thing that stood out to me was how behind the times the medical experts is on their research for chemo treatments for our Children. It also showed me that some doctors are not sure if the chemo or medical Canabus that’s showing more progress in kids surviving or at least prolonging their lives. Also since I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I’ve not been able to work full time but I need something to do so I called our local hospital to see if I was eligible to volunteer so we’ll see what I can do after the new year. Colleen! In my art class we made taxidermy moths, it was so cool and so much fun It was from a website called beasties+bones or something along those lines, they are $20 a pattern but I feel like you and flynn would have so much fun colouring and creating your own moths!

A tip many use for accidental touching for elf on the shelf is bring it to the Christmas tree and his magic will be restored through the magic of Christmas. In a few groups I'm in for ideas for elf on the shelf you see it come by so often and a lot of people implemented it into their story as a safety net. Some just choose to let their kids touch the elf and bring it to the tree at night too. Maybe you could also do a day where your elf is in a container like a glass jar, so Flynn can take the elf on an adventure without touching it. We always look forward to the elf as well, so it's become a fun little tradition. Today the elf was riding a motorcycle toy and yesterday she was baking (making a mess) in the kitchen with tiny utensils.

Woah! Those big tees are funky. It does translate through the screen. Looking at it makes your eyes seem fuzzy almost, like you can’t see clearly. That’s super weird. I love that you all stay on theme with your clothes for your kids bday parties! 🎉🎉

My bf and I rode our bikes and raised money from childhood cancer in September. We collectively raised over $3,000, and rode collectively 500 miles in one month. The organization is called The Great Cycle Challenge. I did it initially because my grandma was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer, and then I remembered that you did this. You rule and I love your heart for these kids!

This. Thank you so so much for bringing more awareness to what cannabis can do for people. My fiance is a manager at a dispensary and the amount of people suffering with cancer or other serious illnesses / special needs people and kids that come in and actually feel better after they see a doctor is magic. Hearing the stories of improvement and how thankful people are after trying this medicine gives me hope and just warms my soul. I am so excited to watch this documentary now. Thank you!

Hi Coleen. I checked out the documentary and loved it. I think its soooo important to know the benefits of medical cannabis. My niece suffers from a seizure disorder and medical cannabis has helped her in so many ways. I know several people who were suffering from terminal cancer and used cannabis to help comfort them and that is often something most people are okay with. But so many people are against using it for young people because they associate it with getting high etc. even though there are amazing medical benefits.Thank you for brining awareness to this and pointing me to this documentary. My family will love it.
