A few years ago I was staying over at my great aunts house , ( who is pretty much a hoarder and saves everything, lol) I was helping her clean out her house and I came across three boxes full of old Kmart, and other stores advertisements from the late 90s and early 2000s. It was super fun to look at it. She kept them up in her attic for years. She mainly saved them for wrapping up items during when she moved and yard sales as well
3:30 actually, that's the liquidator's merchandise from another closed store. Liquidtors will take leftover items from past liquidations, and sell them in current liquidations, it's not necessarily from that particular store (looking at it, it looks like it came from another store, not Kmart).
There actually used to be a Kmart by my moms house and I even went there once with my grandma. Eventually though it closed and was abandoned for a while but there actually demolishing it soon and putting a shopping plaza there
Same here miss kmart as well as i went with my sister too until 2012 it started to close so r.i.p. kmart you were the best store ever and i will go cry tears in a corner too😢
Can I remember going to KMart a few times a year especially for Halloween we'd always buy stuff like pumpkins and stuff it was really fun honestly I left going there I miss Kmart especially after eating the buffet we would go to the buffet first then go to Kmart since they were next to each other
I had a Kmart where I live but got replaced by hobby lobby and some place called harbor freight in 2018, the back isles always had a bunch of toys and I would always go there to get something if I was good, it was basicly toys r us to me
We had a kmart on se johnson rd across from lowes. Before it was liquidated and turned into carmax which is a car dealership in 2012, the sad part is that this vid is awesome and reminds me of a good time that me and my sister had eating also at their cafe. The food was so good and was to die for. Thank you guys for this memory your the best.
I used to work at Kmart for 3 years about 10 years ago. It’s such a shame to see all of the stores closing for good. Really sad. I enjoyed my job and the people I helped and worked with.
I remember going to Kmart with my aunt in 2013 or 2014 while on a vacation to Kentucky, I bought a bunch of those route 66 shirts talking about how awesome I was and how I was a ninja. Good times.
Defiantly would not make sense to see an Angry Birds/Oklahoma University plushie for sale at a store in Northern New Jersey. But hey, I guess the distribution people had to put it somewhere 🤷🏻♂️.
Hey. I just want you to know. No matter how tough the going gets. No matter how steep the hills, no matter how hard the consequences are, you will always have people who are "*Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.*" -Rick atsley I'm sorry I just had to 😂
Actually, after the store in Avenel, NJ, closes this month, there will be nine Kmarts remaining in the United States - one other in New Jersey, one in New York, one in Florida, one in Guam, one in Puerto Rico, and four in the US Virgin Islands. So, if you want to say three, you should respect your fellow US citizens and add a qualifier, i.e. "mainland" or "contiguous". Cheers. 🙂
It’s really unsettling how they have sections of the store blocked off with the lights off. Who would really want to shop in this outdated store and buy that outdated merchandise that one has touched in more than a decade. I guarantee those dead zones haven’t seen humans in the longest time. They should’ve liquidated and closed a long time ago to save themselves from embarrassment.
Do we really want to give all our money to evil Amazon and Walmart. Man I miss selection…and you know leaving the house to physically look at merchandise or shop.
Wait I didn’t know there where still K Mary’s left the one near me went out of business like 4 years ago and the two near my grandparents are out as well. I miss that store sometimes.
@@vladipeace I knew that everything is upside down in Australia but..,wa?? There is like 350 locations in Australia what the hell it’s going on down there
@@weirdshrimpnumber9755 yeah it did even the original ceo of the place said you are going to see them at those airplanes places and see some of them merge with other stores such as malls and have their own store too with a couple changes
