Sorry! It’s still Friday somewhere, right? It’s been a super weird day and I was meant to edit this Friday afternoon and that didn’t exactly go to plan so here it is at 4:17am on Saturday…

Hey, thank you for your comment! Glad I could help! They do! I can’t tell you how much they are per band but I’m pretty sure there’s information on the nhs dental part of the website or if your dentist has a website. I didn’t know either and I kinda just asked what the process was cause I’d only seen the process done by U.S dentists and I asked if they do all that here and my dentist said they could do it for me especially as I was going to be left with 3 top teeth. I also had a flipper (a partial that has 2 teeth) on the NHS but yeah if you bring it up and let them know you don’t want to be toothless while you wait for your actual dentures I’m sure they will help you- i actually really recommend it because despite getting mine stuck for 9 days I had a really good healing experience compared to normal and I was able to get used to what dentures feel like, find products I like, practice eating and speaking with them so when I get my final dentures I’ll be all set lol. Only thing is they won’t make you more that one set (unless damaged) so like in America they seem to make a new temporary every so often but here in the U.K. it’s 1 temporary denture and no relining when it gets too big so you’d end up needing stronger denture glues till approx 6 months when you get your final set (I recommend poligrip flavour free ones over fixodent etc)

@@wheels_n_feels Awesome. I've had gum disease for years and now have many loose teeth and get an abscess every other week. I think it is time to get them pulled. Trouble is finding an NHS dentist in the UK. I'm hoping to get a private assessment then a referral to NHS periodontist for work. Can't afford full private fees.

I’ve had my same dentist for about 12 years maybe- absolutely petrified of them (for various reasons) and my usual dentist her fillings always fall out within around 3 days so I just stopped going then stopped being able to go because of my disabilities and living situation then I really needed to go and they do sedation but were like “no we won’t sedate you here cause we’ve treated you without it before… but we can refer you to a sedation clinic” and luckily I got an amazing team and can finally smile again. I’m blessed to have only had some abscesses when I was younger and several infections from 3 of my side teeth that had spread all up into my face and the inflammation was all over my head and down my neck and shoulders so I can only imagine how painful gum disease is. What I’ve learned is you could get the private assessment but you might still have to go through nhs assessment too especially if there is several months time in between appointments. I’ve been hearing about how hard it’s been for so many to get nhs treatment or even get registered- do you have a community fealty centre with a dentist in/attached to it? they usually have private and nhs option and usually have to squeeze you in on the list if you’re paying or not. If it’s any help though I think that the cosmetic private dentists have a little more space if you’re not signing up as an nhs patient you could get a referral to a sedation clinic from there most likely or if you don’t need the sedation I don’t see why they couldn’t try to get you on an bus list even their own- I really hope you get a dentist soon, I’ll be praying you do. It can be a bit of a difficult process with waiting for different teeth to be removed and repaired so you can get your denture but it’s so worth it and I really wish I’d done it sooner if I’m honest. Like the pain being gone alone but then there’s smiling and eating cold or hot things that really hurt before… or there’s these crisps I love but they would shred up the roof of my mouth- not anymore! Lol. If there’s anything I can help with on your dental journey don’t hesitate to ask! But you’ll feel so much better once you get treatment.

Im really glad you were able to get them out! I cant imagine the relief even, must have felt so nice to get them out and clean 😊 Also this was a super informative video, you explained different aspects of the process and care really well. You explained dry socket and aftercare for extractions SIGNIFICANTLY better than the dental surgeon who did my extractions, then when I said I think I have dry socket (I did, and an infection from the poorly explained aftercare. I thought I litterally had to keep my mouth just?? Really wet and over rinsed. Was an absolute nightmare.) Also don't be sorry for swearing 🖤 god gave us the ability to intensely for relief in intense moments even the odd curse word. Its not like you were cursing someone out, just expressing with a lot of emotion in a situation it is BEYOND appropriate to let that out with your words. Teeth are a huge part of our lives in many ways, it is part of our body as well as tools we use to survive. Its so amazing we're blessed with the ability to make dentures, implants and do all sorts of procedures to help when we need it. Honestly I think their pretty cool and I really appreciate you taking the time and vulnerability to share this experience. I am jewish so my beliefs are a bit different but I send my prayers and well wishes 🖤🦇 you deserve all these wonderful things. Also congratulations on the move, I know what its like to be disabled in terrible housing its awful. Having a new wet room and shower is going to be so amazing, enjoy that first shower 🖤

Thank you for your super kind comment. I’m so sorry you ended up with dry socket,is that right now or are you healed up? I’m glad I was able to explain it well enough- I always feel like I’m a rambling mess lol. Maybe I should do a video about dry socket? The Lord is forgiving… I normally don’t swear (years ago I did a little experiment and found that swearing was actually having this really heavy/negative effect on my mind- when I stopped swearing all together I ended up feeling so much lighter… I came to God last year but I still like to give a little apology lol 😅) The Bible says that the Jewish are Gods family and that he adopts us into his family through the sacrifice of Jesus… we may celebrate different things and have different practices but we are family ☺️ And the new home and wet room and the lowered kitchen and having my own private front and back door instead of living in an apartment it’s heavenly… I still can’t believe I live here, it’s so quiet and peaceful, warm and dry without multiple kinds of mould… actually no mould. I’m in the middle of a pain flare and I still managed to get a shower! Unheard of before… praise the Lord! My animals love it here too!
