Awesome! Good to have some guidance for anyone trying to learn these grooves! That ride part at 2:53 and later on is one of the oddest rhythms to try and internalize. I hear the ghost pattern the whole time as S s ss ss ssS s ss ss ssS like your marker around 157. I don't think it changes to 4 doubles but even more impressive if it does. It would be extremely difficult to ghost that first hit after the full snare hit at this tempo in a set of 5 like that unless he is utilizing the right hand in between ride hits. Maybe that's the case either way?

This is great :) the ride pattern is not as straightforward on the recording in minute 4:00 but I really like this straight ahead groove anyways.

Do you have any idea if he's playing linear double bass for the first lick? I know he rarely does this, but on the record it sounds like he's giving the snare some room to 'breathe'

I am tempted to d/l the track, but the most important part imo is the actual pattern played on the bass drums in the 4/4 section - and i don't think this is correct or consistent in the software...wish there was a LB and RB notation to distinguish since the foot pattern is as important as any sticking pattern
