The Heaviest Matter of the Universe is an experience that every “metalhead” should experience at least once in a life time. Max volume is recommended for those seeking a religious experience 😂
drummer and singer are brothers...the woman is their mother who passed away... go see these guys live...Mario's drums will feel like someone is kicking you in the chest for the whole set...
Joe and Mario Duplantier's ( guitarist and drummer) mother passed away during this album's production and every song on the album is a facet of what they felt or believed..the woman represents a stranded soul
Finally gojira, your in for a drum treat. they have great live concerts but i think their songs will bang the most in the car. songs you should check out: 1. flying whales 2. born in winter 2. silvera 4. gift of guilt 5. heaviest matter of the universe they have so many great songs i could go on forever... enjoy the ride my brother :)
I agree with another commentor: Unleash the Archers - "Awakening" Full band play through. I'm pretty sure the woman in "Stranded" is a metaphor for the death of the mother of the singer and drummer.
one of the best sounding live performances by Gojira is set from Polandrock 2018, i was there, it's the best show of my life! RU-vid version is top quality, sound mix is better than some studio albums, they put real efforts to make this concert sound perfect, and they put it for free, most bands do this kind of quality only for official DVD release! check this, you can find time codes for songs in description, anything you pick me will be a good choice:)
Mastodon - Capillarian Crest Brann Dailor's drumming is intense. He mixes his jazz influences with metal and progressive drumming. He's up there with the worlds top drummers in the world right now along with Mario of Gojira. Trust me, you wont be disappointed
Gift of Guilt, Where Dragons Dwell, and Toxic Garbage Island; all live by Gojira. Mario Duplantier (the drummer) is a phenomenal artist, he also has a RU-vid channel with a few videos of just him playing, you should definitely check them out too.
Their best live is probably the gift of guilt at Brixton Academy in London. Or then anything from the Pol' and Rock festival in 2018. That's definitely their best live show as a whole, and trust me, I've watched a lot of their live perfomances
Man, if you really wanna see some good drum stuff, you should check out another one from them: The heaviest matter of the universe. Pick up the live version.
Gojira - From the Sky They do have live versions out there. One of the best songs imo, the end is just a beast. The drumming is relentless the entire song.
Gojira the heaviest matter of the universe, the gift of guilt, where dragons dwell, flying whales,The art of dying etc. There are so many songs all of which my man Mario Duplantier just kills it on the drums!
finally man ! Gojira has one of the best man to bang on em drumms ever !! You'll love this band You wnat some good live sessions? Here you go: - Remembrance, Clone, Space Time, Embrace The World, The Link Alive album (lower video quality but audio is pure class) - Where Dragons Dwell, Hellfest 2013 - Toxic Garbage Island, Hellfest 2016 - The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe, Backbone, The Axe, Flying Whales, Gift Of Guilt, London Brixton Academy 2014 - The Art of Dying (MUST DO), From the Sky, A sight to behold, Vacuity Flesh Alive 2009 - Only Pain, The Cell, The Shooting Star, Pol'and'Rock 2018 (best live audio in fckn history of mankind, awesome gig to watch due to the light show they put on, massive crowd and a completely free festival - music gathers people there) - Global Warming, live at Silver Cord Studio 2018 - They haven't play this live, and never will, but it's another killer song from them - Esoteric Surgery i know i missed some of them bangers but we'll get to that when you become a fan of the band ;) and you will trust me, check out their lyrics too, they always hide some deep messages there
Godzilla! This is of the BEST bands in my opinion and ive been listening to metal & related genres for a loooong time. Also they kick some ass live as well.
Oh, you finally reacted to Gojira. I'll repeat, if you wanna hear the best drummer at really insane work - react to their "The Art of Dying" And also don't forget about Spiritbox - Rule of Nines. Again.
Their best live song is The Gift of Guilt. Another good video is Silvera. If you want one of their best heavy songs then The Heaviest Matter of the Universe.
Another RU-vidr begins his journey down the rabbit hole.... And if you're looking for a straight up drum solo, look up "Mario Duplantier drum solo Minotaur". Easily one of my favorite things to watch.
Gojira (go-Jee-rah) is a Japanese word. It's their word for Godzilla that is a blending of the words "gurira"(gorilla) and "kujira"(whale). Gojira are another metal band with heavy meaning in their songs.
Réaction intéressante. Mario est une beast with the drums indeed. Best drummer out there. You gotta check silvera music video and the gift of guilt live at Brixton academy.
Now that you're getting into some of the heavier metals, check out Death - Spirit Crusher (very influential death metal band.) I also recommend Vektor - Recharging the Void, lyric video. It's a long song but it's the epic conclusion to a sci-fi progressive thrash metal concept album.
The album this song came from is probably one of their lightest albums, easier to listen to type stuff for newcomers, if you want some of their real shit, you should check out songs like “THE ART OF DYING”, “L’enfaunt savauge”, and “the heaviest matter in the universe”. P.S by what I know it’s just pronounced Go-Gee-Ra
Go-jee-rah, Japanese for whale or marine monster P.s. (heavy) metal is a huge subgenre of rock music, so if this song is metal, it is a rock song too (and this specifically is death metal, a wide sub-subgenre, and more specifically this is technical death metal)
Love your channel, had to sub immediately after I saw u react to bleed. I got a good heart felt suggestion.. listen to All Fucked up by the amity affliction. this band has helped me thru alot with their music.
If you like drumming, you need to react to Slipknot - The Blister Exists. Live Gojira - Flying Whales, Heaviest Matter of the Universe, The Gift of Guilt are a a few of all their amazing live performances.
The Heaviest Matter of the Universe!! Gojira is fucking bad ass Metal has the bases on Rock music, but evolve in something with more speed, diferent structures and sound, and most distorted guitar or voice, The Beattles and Rolling Stones are rock, Metallica, Gojira, Megadeth, Jinjer all are metal but they sound different, so fits in a diferent subgenre
Mario on the drums is a straight beast. Definitely react to Heaviest Matter in the Universe, and Gift of Guilt, at Brixtion. They definitely bring the energy to next level. No spoilers, but let’s just say prepare to be blown away.
Stranded is a good song to start with for gojira because it's got a really good and consistent groove to it. But now it's time to go down the rabbit hole bro!!! Flying whales Gift of guilt Where dragons dwell Art of dying Any song from them really. They're all good.
The live version of Gojira-the art of dying always stood out to me but there may be better ones. Just that songs structure and lyrics and stuff blew me away when I first heard it years ago. But you have to check out the studio version and the music video to l'énfant sauvage. So the drummer and the lead singer who plays guitar are brothers from what I understand and I've seen live shows where they actually switched places and played different musical instruments. They always seem to have their own sound where just by hearing the music you can tell it's them, I feel like it's hard to be that unique these days and they do a great job at that. Heavy but also Melodic. Man that is not easy
This is definitely more "rock" sounding than a lot of their songs, it's a style that works but their more progressive and heavy songs are their mastery. Silvera is great, LIVE, try Oroborus and Gift of Guilt to experience Mario Duplantier (drummer) at his best.
