i am a relatively new gojira fan but there is a special story about this song.. i was on vacation when a friend played this song for the first time. it went straight to my heart and i got goose bumps even on my head. i didn't knew that my grandmother was in fact dying in that very moment... RIP... it gives me chills every times i listen to that masterpiece
This songs intro is like the dream of rythm, pure rythm, pure strength. Its creative and strong. Makes the rest of the song which is in may cases fast, as slow as doom metal songs. I have for so long underestimated how just cool this intro is in so many ways, its even melodic!
@@francescoprincipe5981 it's the stamina that fucks you up, on both bleed and art of dying. bleed is harder imo but art of dying is so much more emotional and powerful
@@Leo._... i found bleed almost impossible to play, the art of dying is one of the most emotional death metal songs ever, you're right, the hard thing is to play it with the same stamina as the original
@@francescoprincipe5981 fun fact, esoteric surgery and bleed share the same riff just at different tempos. maybe practice esoteric and you'll be able to get down bleed eventually
By far the best performance of the art of dying out there. Also 2:15 joe's voice is fucking AMAZING holy shit, its so damn good. There's also pretty much no reverb, so thats just him sounding like 15 people screaming. Batshit insane Very, VERY few people can do pitched screams like that without completely destroying their voice in 10 mins. He could do this shit for hours back then. This was him at his peak for sure :D
J’espérais tellement les choper cette année à Bordeaux… repoussé à l’année prochaine à cause des restrictions Covid. X( C’est que partie remise ! En attendant, même en vidéo youtube leurs concerts restent une tarte dans la gueule.
I hope that my local Metal Fest Hammersonic (biggest one in SEA lol) invites Gojira to headlinining their event so I could see them live and performed this song before I die, currently Slipknot headlines this year event This song really helps me a lot man, I decided to gave up on my life few years ago then this song popped up out of nowhere, listen to it, and yeah I still alive to this day Art of dying is the way to let all go But i don't know yet how to die Death is the real deal to let everything go, but man am I really wanting everything to go?
Same here man. Recently found this song along with the band last month. Lost my mom 2 days after Xmas. Was driving a few weeks back and it hit like a ton of bricks but felt relieving at the same time. Like an overwhelming sense of despair along with understanding and peace.
