@@jeffreydouglas2255 meshuggah is only influential in a small Genre. Gojira reaches death metal, Tech Death, Groove metal, and even some blackened bands. Gojira is death metal Metallica.
I meant phylosophically mostly, not only music-wise. I read lyrics, I try to understand. I am sorry for the many periods, it's not impossible I was drunking when I wrote this. No offence to other bands.
Art of dying is the best song by Gojira... And one of the best metal song for sure... Drumming and vocals, bass, guitar everything has it's own importance 💥💥💥
You'll think different when you know that the length of the outro is about the same time it takes an average person to drown. Gojira make it that length on purpose.
I might be a little late to the party, but the outro riff is to give the vibe of you actually dying. Reliving your memories, your life experiences, etc. I believe Joe (singer/guitar) has said that before. Great reaction!
Mario is a hilariously good drummer. I haven’t heard much that can compare. You should check out Low Lands by Gojira (and the video). It’s their softer side, super calm and lots of clean singing, then a sick outro. I think you’d enjoy it.
Ah yes, the pringles song ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wU08zQTXc7U.html Oh Mat you felt The Moment™ Mm indeed! I'm glad you let that tide carry you out with it. It hits so good every time you listen.
If you haven’t done Gojira song l’enfant sauvage will be both amazed how powerful amd heavy it is. Strong recommendation and one of the Gojira’s classic song !!!
I dont think she gets the art side of music, and I dont say that in a negative way, but music is more than melody, it's way beyond series of notes to maintain your attention, it can make you travel in your head with long parts, make you think, dream about a story of your own creation everytime you listen to it.
"and then the edible kicks in". LMAO I fucking love it. So yeah this is definitely among their best, but their best outro belongs to my fave In The Wilderness One of the few other songs that I also like better than this one is From the Sky
The outro actually has Mario constantly changing his rhythms and fills, and if you listen closely each measure has something new in it. It's almost like playing a game of "where's waldo" but with drum beats to keep a sharp ear on. The riff repeated purposely, and an attentive ear can keep looking for new beats from the drum master himself. Certainly long but when you're cruising or chilling you don't ever want it to stop lol.
YEAH !!! GOJIRA , a french group , i'm so proud of her . Nice personnes . I dont know what over song you have listen to her ... I Prefer the guift or guilt in live , when the dragon dwell live at elfest , pray live at red rock , the clip silvera . I DONT go in your patreon ... GOOD réaction , kiss from France , corinne.
ROTNEST either mono or torrent, the songs r short so if needed u could do a sort of double feature but definitely check them out, and then cultist-tossed to the wolves.
Ya seriously need to check out the band Vildhjarta with their track Dagger! Its an older track from 2011, but holy shit! It was wayyyyy ahead for its time
I gotta wonder, how so it was ahead of its time? I mean, I listened to it when it came out and my thought was that it's pretty good for generic Djent. So it was above the masses, but I honestly don't see how it's in any way "ahead of its time"? They wear their Meshuggah very loudly on their sleeve, and the most notable thing about that album was their guitar tone.
@@odell4625 yeah maybe. The difference is that meshuggah repeats its riffs alot and shit. But vildhjarta never plays the same riff (never more than 2 times) and I havent really listened to job for a cowboy all that much
easily one of my favorite gojira songs, i think the elongated ending is better translated in their live shows as it being that long makes it so epic, great reaction none the less!! would love to see what you guys think of the 2 new Vildhjarta songs for their new album next month, they are so damn good
