Lay down fall away Lie awake Just cannot move My arms and legs I'm paralyzed Don't recall how to free Myself from this In the heart of the dark My face contorted Don't know how to reach the light But I feel so bad Like a freak in a cage Open the door Enter your heart You go... So far..... Golden unworldly silence Space flight at speed of light I cross the clouds and colors The black hole is calling me I slide on the horizon On the frontier not to cross Black dwarf Time's gone distorted In the heart of the dark A whirl of light Enter in The realm of nothingness I feel the cold, my eyes are shut My fear is slowly dying Light years from here Are my thoughts and cages I can hear their moan But now a long deep breath Is calling Overtaking time And now understanding space I feel united I do cross light Feel the living Here in the center Stands the light of love That never can be touched From greater silence Shall return
I don’t kno why I’ve never really looked at the lyrics to this one, though a favorite for years. For most of my adult life I have suffered from constant sleep paralysis. It’s often terrifying for me and has affected my quality of life drastically and in many ways. Clearly the meaning of the song could be “subjective” and interpreted a variety of ways, however these lyrics just hit a nerve in me.
WhoDarestheMAN gamer he actually has on a number of songs. With melodic rhythms and off tempo syncopations. George sounds like every other death metal drummer speed no creativity.
"Hey Joe, join us on some Smash Bros! Who do you wanna play as?" <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="14">0:14</a> "Okay okay! Jeeze, you'll get to play as Olimar, calm down!"
To call a song The Heaviest Matter of The Universe, musically live up to what that implicates, and lyrically apply that within the themes of the album takes another worldly level of skill, creativity, and confidence! Long live this mighty beast we call hail Gojira!!!
Jesus fucking Christ this song is insane. I've always had a problem with the death metal screams. This is the first time I've ever enjoyed them. Incredible live performance too. It's better than the recorded version ffs. Bravo Gojira, you've got a new fan.
I’ve been getting into death metal a lot more recently and some of the growls I struggle with but the screams in shit like Gojira and Acid Bath (Ik they’re sludge but they border on death metal a lot) are perfection.
Literally was just thinking the same thing. Just heard about them from a RU-vid comment which brought me to this video. I listen to a lot of 80s Metal/Thrash Metal, I never really like the super heavy screaming shit, but this is awesome I love it actually
My all time top 5 live experiences in order.... Amon Amarth, Gojira, lamb of god, Meshuggah and Mastodon even though sometimes their vocals are weak...
BP Genius Yes, people do call this music. What you are seeing is a collection of very talented and dedicated musicians performing at near perfection. Your only problem is you have a very narrow perception of what music is. Most probably limited by the way you live your life and the beliefs you choose to subscribe to. I am a musician and I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from classical to Leonard Cohen and Patrick Watson to Metal and all of its sub genres. I am drawn to talent and Gojira are incredibly talented. This music does not encourage violence, in fact, Gojira regularly sing about global warming and the negative affects we as a human race are having on the world. Furthermore, violence is linked directly to mental health, social and family environments and greed and poverty. In a lot of places music is the only escape for hurting people. If you want to stop a type of "music" then campaign against pop music artists like Miley Cyrus. She is selling sex to preteens and encouraging mindless, untalented music. Finally, try to understand this: It is good when you don't like something. It is bad when you feel you have to write nasty, uneducated comments on a video of something you don't like...it's kind of childish. It's good you don't like something because it means you have a brain and it defines you as an individual. You are thinking which is a valuable asset these days, now think a bit harder and realize that if something you didn't like didn't exist then you wouldn't like what you liked because there would be no definition of LIKE. We would all be clones, life would be boring. Now in future please think and be considerate before you post something negative, small minded and unintelligent. Good day, sir
Simon Henwood It’s a shame because only people who care like you and I would read this and the others would ignore this, whom really need to be informed
that makes this show so much cooler, the audience didn’t like them because it wasn’t even a metal festival, so they played like they were attacking the crowd kinda, so that’s badass
This is by far gojira’s craziest fucking song they’ve made. I thought only pain and Silvera was heavy, but not nearly as heavy as this. Craziest dudes to ever roam the planet.
2009 sonisphere festival in Barcelona: Metallica Slipknot Machine Head Down Lamb of God Mastodon Gojira Soziedad Alkoholika All the same day, almost died of metal overdose LOL
Duuuude idk if you're talking about the riff that come before the ''Beat your feet on the ground now, GO!'' but that riff eject all the fucking metal in the world

This is good music just like how rap 10+yrs ago was good music and like hiw classical is good music and jazz. Any musician can see and understand how all these genres can relate to eachother in different ways.
I honestly think that Joe shouting... whatever it is that he shouts at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="14">0:14</a>, while the shaky camera pans past him to Jean-Michel losing his shit, is the heaviest thing to ever be captured on camera.
my favorite part is at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="13">0:13</a> when joe screams "here we go", and how the bassist throws the bass in the air when he hits the two notes and how heavy and solid the shit sounds, all in that like... 10 second time-span
Jason Talbott strapping young lad was equally, and probably more heavy and this came out in 1997 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xnoXJy9mjmE.html
The drummer is so insane. Not only playing awesome insane complex stuff but with such power and intensity....damn and what the hell is he doing on the ride with one hand at like <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="128">2:08</a> , <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="144">2:24</a>, <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="152">2:32</a> Its like hes getting three hits out of each stroke. so groovy with the pounding bass drum underneath sounds so clean

..most of my adult life I have suffered from constant sleep paralysis. The experience is often terrifying for me, and after a while it becomes exhausting, physically, mentally and emotionally. Some of the lyrics to this one really hit a nerve in me.
Never heard of this band before, but the sound is intense. Sounds like industrial metal to my untrained ears, not heard anything like this before. drummer is superb. many thanks for posting.
