It was 100. But this was probably because of what happened to Gokz after leaving with Shenron. A small little detail is that Pan sees Gokus clothes laying on the ground but Goku just left with his clothes on. I think that Goku died, Shenron revived him but maybe not as a part of the living world but something different. Like he cathched his sould before leaving to other world and straight up send it back to earth or sth like that. After that he fuses with the Dragonball on shenrons back so the Goku Pan sees is probably some kind of ascended higher state of being that Goku achieved

@@GoofyPoptart db gt movie was made before the end of GT, after the baby saga. Goku actually died on earth with his family in that verison & even has a grave. In the series, he never dies. He becomes immortal & one with the dragon balls.

Its even said by a Super-dad to his half breed son whom the dad did not know was going to develop powers, and when the son did get powers it changed the dad's plans, and made him want to take over the world(s).

This is one of those things where I feel like it wasn't an intentional way to foreshadow something, but could certainly end up being important later. It's been a long time since I saw the Buu Saga, so I had completely forgotten the details of how Goku came back to life that time. Given how unique of a method that was, I think this theory could hold weight.

I started watching DBZ till around 11 years old. I am 30 now and it is STILL the most absolutely amazing series ever in existence. Watching videos like this helps you get a lot of understanding and new outlooks. Best DBZ youtube channel ever. Keep learning about DBZ and Super. Read the manga and get caught up. Watch the anime over and over. Its so worth it.
@lusk001 iam almost 30 as well 😪 time flies. I remember coming after school to watch dbz on TV. Than it started airing Friday and Saturday nights with other anime. 2000s was the golden age of anime.
The thing is, we didn't really see any main-ish character die of old age in cannon. Toriyama might have something like ki preservation up his sleeve and could go many different ways with it. Just the pure extent of one's ki prolonging life span even for humans such as Krillin could be brought up. Roshi is confirmed to be over 300 years old at the very beginning of DB so it only makes sense to go that direction. DB characters dying of old age would contradict its own story beginning.
Given that ki is one’s own lifeforce, it would make sense that having complete control over your ki would prevent that lifeforce from leaking away, thus preventing aging. It’s a similar idea to HxH, where skilled nen users like Netero have longer lifespans due to generally preventing their nen from leaving their bodies.
@@Candoran Not to mention, Goku would most likely be thousands of years old due to the fact Elder Kai gave some of his life to him, and Kais are stated to be around for thousands of years.

This is honestly an insane detail that I haven't really thought of, but yes, this does make sense, a lot of it. The elder kai's life, to goku, why didn't I think of it sooner.. holy. Honestly this feels like they could go somewhere with this, but seeing as toriyama legit doesn't even remember what he writes sometimes, it'd be hard to really rely on it truth be said, but really nice detail to observe man!

I'd love to see a future trunks that has had the 'samurai Jack's effect, where so much time travel has affected his ageing and makes it so that he doesn't age any more, and him coming back after 1000 years or so of training, which with a Saiyan zenkai could possibly catch him up to Goku and Vegeta ultra forms
@@Jackguy86 He went back before it happened with Goku, Vegeta, Bulma and Mai Remember? Then they went to a new timeline that had another version of themselves that already existed, and Whis had the Beerus in that timeline Hakai Zamasu before he ever could do anything like the main timeline.
Remember that Saiyans have double the Life expectancy of humans. This is a plot point that's often forgotten but after they hit 20 Saiyans don't age until they reach 80, which gives them another 60- 80 years of life left if they're lucky. So at the start Goku wasn't old. He was still physically 20 years old. But besides that this is a good concept
I wonder if because the old kai gave his life to goku could be the bigger reason why he got a handle on his god forms and ultra instinct faster than most, due to some divine influence from this act on top of his amazing potential (with some plot armor)?

From what vegeta said to goku, I was under the impression that saiyans stayed in their prime up initial around 80 and then aged naturally after that giving them a life span of around 160-180 years
I have always thought about that ..... his prime wouldn't decline at 80, since old Kaioshin gave him the remainder of his lifespan - 1000 years.... also, training with whis to become on part with angels will give him an exponentially longer lifespan..... Vegeta becoming a God will also make him live for millions of years, so his potential will also be expanded infinitely.... logically, this would cap off the series with goku being the Angel / attend for Hakaishin Vegeta ... only being called to action when really needed..... Now who will Hakiashin Vegeta's life linked with ? Who will his counterpart, kaioshin .... who do u guys think would be the best candidate for that position ?
Yeah my main thought is that since the Kaioshin is a creator god, if he’s giving up his own lifespan then that’s going to be an incredibly powerful sacrifice- not a mere revival, but an empowerment of some kind, whether a thousand-year life or perhaps the removal of some limiter that keeps Goku mortal… or maybe even allowing him to access divine ki much more easily than he otherwise would’ve been capable of. Having great potential is one thing, but Beerus has been training for eons and doesn’t fully have UI figured out (manga says he’s got the defensive half at least but he’s not mastered it yet), but Goku reached full UI in about 45 minutes from the moment he discovered it 🤣 heck, Gohan has greater potential than any of the Z-fighters including Goku, and it still took him longer to reclaim a level of power he was already familiar with. Perhaps having received that divine lifeforce from the Kaioshin could’ve had interesting consequences.
What if Goku and Vegeta become the pair of Supreme Kai and GoD? Imagine being the only universe that has a Supreme Kai that takes on GoDs on the regular.
What if the reason goku accessed ultra instinct so easily was not only do to his training but it was do to elder kai giving him his life and technically his life force by him already having a pure heart then accessing god ki on top of having the kai's ki transferred to him it allowed him to have a easier gateway into the realm of gods.
the being a god with extended lifespan, to add on to that part. their base form is now "saiyan beyond god" since ressurection F. which is basically god ki 24/7. that plus the life boostfrom elder kai almost assures at least goku will live thousands of years if not killed or go through ascension in broad daylight like they did in GT
I could honestly see it going either way. Goku and Vegeta living on as G.O.D. and Angel so that they can continue to watch over their family’s and planet. But I could also see it going the rout of them dying of old age too and forever living on in the memories of the highest gods along with being told about and remembered through history and stories passed down throughout the universes.
I feel like anyone could’ve been goku, but he was just that one outlier from entire universes and timelines that was chosen to be a mortal that could rise to be a god or angel. He’s just lucky. That’s all.

Well, this is sort of already addressed in the video. He's not in his 40's at the end of Z, he's just going in to his 30's. His mind is older, yeah, but his body didn't just suddenly catch up to what his age should be once Old Kai gave up his life, so he'd still be 29 once he's revived
@@SoupRongan The end of Z was after they defeated Kid Buu, though... so, since he only just revived, that would technically make him still 29, since he was when he died with Cell. Besides, at that point, since Old Kai revived him and gave him his 1,000 years of life, no matter how they choose to work that, normal age doesn't apply to him any more, anyway.

That sounds incredible! In a related but overlooked example, the eldest Namek was brought back to life with dragon balls only to live a few moments longer and die again. I think there's something to that getting your own life back when resurrected.

Beerus's life was linked with the Old Kai it was part of the reason Beerus sealed him away in the Z-Sword so if the Kai willingly gave his life wouldnt goku technically live longer than what even the Old Kai stated (unless killed in combat or something) as he is now linked with Beerus? And is this why Whis and Beerus took such interest in Goku?
well I used to believe that if Saiyans continue for their thirst for battle, they will continue to be in their primes unless they either stopped training or no new battles. Also, if Goku were to get an extended lifespan then just like yin-yang, our man vegeta would also get in someway (possibly a G.O.D).
They have God level abilities now, but their souls are still mortal. If they each take on an angel/destroyer role, they are guaranteed to live for millennia, watching everyone around them slowly age and die off.
I really appreciate your honesty here I've seen so many videos and comments that act as if this is already canon and factual when it was never stated anywhere, by any of the characters or authors, what goku's new lifespan is. Maybe that's the direction they will go in the future but as long as it's not confirmed we should act as if goku's lifespan is still that of a normal saiyan
does no one remember that peoples bodies don't age while in the after life? meaning that his body was still 29 by the time Buu came around but his mental age was 36- I don't know how long super has been going on but Goku isn't even halfway through his life just yet.
We have already seen how the story ends, Akira Toriyama who actually published it, Goku does die of old age, Vegeta does end up replacing Beerus, however he doesn't state how much time has passed. Vegeta asks Goku one last time old friend. Everything you see in the manga and series is Goku as an old man reminiscing with Vegeta after they have a final battle together. Vegeta even states you can rest now my friend.
There’s also the possibility of vegeta becoming god of destruction and then grand priest telling zeno that his friend is going to die of old age and he can’t have those good fights anymore due to his age, and zeno may just straight up give him immortality or give turn him into an angel/guard or something that will extend his lifespan
Actually in the graphic novels, Vegeta admits to Bulma that Sayais do not age like earthlings. But everything else could make crazy sense and for some reason I can't wait to see when I'm like 50yrs old to see if how and if DB keeps playing

As you were saying that the old supreme kai gave up his remaining life and pass it on to goku because he thought only Goku would be able to stop Majin Buu. Thus giving Goku his 1000+ life to live. Another Question that came to my mind while watching your video was what if old supreme kai's life was the additional factor for Goku to reach the realm of Gods and Angles. What if supreme kai gave some of the kai's power to Goku and later in the Dragon Ball story was the deciding factor for Goku to reach ultra instinct. If it could be a conspiracy theory but it would make sense as to how Goku was able to reach the level of a 1% angle. In Dragon Ball Super even Grand minister was shocked when he vitness Goku transforming into ultra instinct.

From what the clip of the manga said, the old kai had about 1000 years left of life and he gave that to goku, so it would make sense for goku to live that additional amount of time with what he was given. However without becoming an angel or a god I don't think he would get any more time than that. Vegeta, however, if he becomes a god of destruction like beerus, then I think that position and power automatically gives them a god's lifespan since it basically comes with the position and power given to them. So Vegeta may get the greater lifespan of the two if goku doesn't find a way to also become a higher tier of being beyond just learning to control ultra instinct. However, we also have to consider that maybe the extended lifespan doesn't necessarily come with earning a position among gods or angels, but instead comes with power. The thing that is the most common among higher beings is their power level. It's possible that having a higher power level naturally extends an individuals life span as their body uses that energy to sustain itself. That tracks because the average saiyan stays in their prime for longer and their species as a whole are naturally more powerful than others, similar to how freeza's race have naturally high abilities. So I think with goku and vegeta being as powerful as they are, they will just naturally live longer since their power levels are already on par with most gods.
Both Goku and Vegeta are GODS in their own rights now. I'd be willing to accept an explanation that their divine ki extends their life and/or youth. Even if it doesn't make them immortal (which it really shouldn't for the sake of storytelling), it could at least be used as a way to keep them young and healthy for a long run time if they decide to take dragon ball that far again. None of the other gods we've seen have given us any reason to believe they were already immortal before godhood, and we know most were not born into godhood.
Full blooded saiyans retain their youth until their 80 yrs old so they can fight longer. Vegeta stated before in the series. That’s why gohan looks older than goku. Goku and vegeta will live well over 80 years old
It would make sense that Goku's life span is been prolonged or even holted by the fact he was given a god's life and the fact that wis is training him and Vegeta as destroyers and more so I believe Goku and Vegeta are no longer in the tier of mortal's but of god's and that means they can't and will not die anytime soon at least not from old age
You forget Goku was wished back to a child so he can be defeated. but kept his power. So that makes him way older then he actually is. As he said when he met hit
