I agree. The concept, design and characteristics of the character were thought up well. Really fits with the DB universe and Akira Toriyama's style. I'm also thankful that Toriyama changed the original design. Originally he was a muscular reptilian humanoid with a cloak, designed by someone else, but Toriyama completely changed it. Characte -wise he was originally suppose to be more evil, and was responsible for the evilness of the Saiyans, but again, Akira Toriyama changed him into a more likeable character who wasn't necessarily evil, but still had the job of destruction.
@@monolithic7739 Korin was also modeled after one of Akira Toriyama's old cats. As for the cat Beerus was modeled after, apparently the thing was severely ill and on it's death bed. The vets stated that it had almost no chance of recovering. However, one day it just suddenly appeared healthy again, and the vets commented that it must be some kind of demon. That's the story Akira Toriyama gave about the cat.
Everyone always makes the mistake of trying to convince goku not to fight people who will kick his ass. Forgetting entirely that gokus favorite pass time is getting his ass kicked
The worst anybody can do to deter Goku from fighting someone is say "seriously, this guy is the strongest person you've ever seen" lol Goku immediate reaction is "prove it"😊
I think it’s also because he never expected Beerus to lower himself to make up a story of a mortal who actually gave him a real challenge to motivate Goku like that. A God of Destruction pulling a farce like this to motivate someone seems unbecoming of one. Plus, I’m pretty sure his pride is wounded since Beerus is practically saying Whis’ training isn’t enough.
Just as his sister likes to troll champa, Whis likes to do the same with beerus in his own way. It's not malicious it's just a friendly game they like to play.

Right lol the angles are all pretty odd, strong but only there to keep the powers given a turn off button I secretly think goku understands that he needs to be as strong or stronger then all of them in order to protect earth being at any time these people just do dumb shit and destroy universes.
@@Asura465 you're absolutely right. Toriyama has forgot a large portion of what he's written. Even down to forgetting character designs. It's a shame, but that's is what happens with old age.
@@botdfbvb I don't understand why it's so hard for shonen anime writers to make a rough draft of the whole story before they start going into crazy detail. Naruto suffered from the same thing. It seems like they just make shit up as they go and constantly forget about what was already established. I understand that for story purposes some liberties with plot can be necessary but it's gotten ridiculous recently. It's not old age either. Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings and that's still a masterpiece to this day. That's not to mention the silmarillion. Clearly it was just laziness.

What doesn't make sense about it, is that Goku has been able to sense people and their energy for a long time. He can sense people that are trillions of miles away on other planets and teleport to them but he couldn't tell that, Beerus were in the suit right in front of him. Maybe he's just not as good with sensing God ki or something.

It's funny cause now that I think of it, Monaca was foreshadowing their universes place in the ToP. Their mortal level was so low that Beerus had to fake a strong fighter lol
