I remember reading in the Dragon Ball Wiki that Pan is Goku Jr.'s great-great grandmother, which I believe would make Gohan his great x3 grandfather, Goku his great x4 grandfather, and Bardock his great x5 grandfather. Regardless, I think it's safe to say that Goku Jr. carries a bit of each of his ancestors within him.
You know I wish GT was actually about Goku Jr. and the descendants of the other heroes instead of trying to continue Goku's story. I think a fresh start with a new cast would have been way better then turning Goku into a kid and going through space for black star dragon balls just to discover Tuffles still exist and a bunch of stupid stuff.

The way Dragonball has been handled since Super I can say that everything is cannon, in its own universe. Toriyama really didn’t give a fuck about Dragonball after the Buu arc anyway. Us fans care way more than he will ever.
My theory is different. To become a super Saiyan requires great emotional upheaval, so when the younger generations grow up in a time of peace with loving families it makes them more likely to transform when something does go wrong. This is obviously in contrast to the harsh life styles experienced by an average Saiyan child. As for the purity of the Saiyan blood lines I liked to think that they were naturally stronger then Human blood so they would not become diluted through the generations.

It was honestly Bs how much hard work goku and vegeta had to put it to become super saiyans especially vegeta to have these youngins do it with almost no effort. ^ What the guy above me said is true but I think it's also cause since goku and vegeta achieved absurd amounts of power at the end of gt (ssj4) it makes it way easier for their descendants to achieve ssj, maybe they pass down that gene onto them, which is why goku jr and vegeta jr were able to turn ssj, even though they're only supposed to be like 1/16th saiyan. Wish there were more logical explanations, but that's all I can think of

I kinda wish Akira would remake GT but have it only focus on Goku Jr because the only thing I enjoyed from GT was Mark Menza's soundtrack, SSJ4 and "A Hero's Legacy" but I think if he does he should call it DragonBall Legacy or same thing as the movie title and just get rid of GT in the name.

Tho Super Dragon Ball Heroes has some nice loopholes to make even characters like Mr Satan OP as fuck and actually justifying it. @icecoldsoul92 I have a theory.I think that even though he's technically human he can transform into a super saiyan because he inherited Goku's genes.Just like if you've watched Yu Yu Hakusho Yusuke's ancestor is a demon.His genes skipped every generation until it was finally inherited by Yusuke allowing him to turn into a demon.
Toriyama has said in an interview that a Saiyajin needed a certain amounts of battle power to reach Super Saiyajin Grade 1 (regular S.S form). It may be 3,000,000 since that’s the power level Gokou had. So if GrandTour is following that logic, then that means he has a level of at least 3,000,000! Not surprised since Goten.
Goku jr reminds me of bardock and goku i cry when i see the part when he meets his great great grandfather the savor of earth. I cry at the end of GT as well the WHOLE series made an important impact in my life. I am always the kid in my family who my brother says i act like goku who is never selfish or mean and in hard times i was the light in the darkness he said. Super saiyan increases your power level 100 fold, so even if Goku JR is a 5, the average strength of an ordinary adult human male, when becoming Super saiyan he'd be a 500.
Ok, everybody, this is not fan's option, this is fact and logic , pan has potential to go super saiyan and or great ape, when piccolo trained gohan, he learned that saiyans go great ape with the help of their tails and then removed gohan's so he can't transform anymore, when trunks, goten, bulla and pan where born, their tail where removed as well, ( nobody wants a repeat of grandpa gohan's death, no more grate apes ) Just because pan is 1/4 saiyan doesn't mean she can't because ssj, as long as u have any saiyan blood, u can train to transform one day, as for goten and trunks, they were a different story, gt, at end of dbz, goku left to train uub,we all know what happened to gohan when goku died, there was nobody around to motivate everybody to train, gohan focused on work, goten focused on girls, trunks inherited capsule corp., vegeta focused on bulla, nobody was left to teach pan how to transform let alone train her,and she never went through the intense rage it takes to first transform, so she focused on her life as well, gt is considered non canon because it wasn't made by the creator who made us fall in love with dbz in the first place, there could be a ssj pan in the real future of DBZ just keep dreaming it, lastly, for the record, piccolo is a super namekian but not because he's at his strongest, like a ssj, it's actually a transformation, the super big form that slug turned into is a super namekian
Thomas Smith Finally someone who knows DBZ/GT lore and can speak for it. Though I have to point out that the SS thing is meant to be a need not a desire. Goku Jnr. needed the transformation and he obviously trained with Pan. I don't really include Trunks and Goten in this logic since they obviously don't follow this pattern (unless you include Buu but he didn't appear for years). Goku was Frieza, Vegeta was training/the androids, Gohan was Cell, Bardock was Chilled/resemblance to Frieza. It follows a pattern and Goku Jr was obviously this demon thing.

And, my final theory is, that they thought that anyone with the name "Goku Jr." and looks exactly like Goku must go SSJ because it wouldn't be the same lol. Goku realized there was no reason for him to stay on earth. So instead most hypothesis show that he left the earth to “Train with Shenron” or many say after Goku formed with the dragonballs then Shrenron he became immortal and will await to the earth will once need him again. @dman1093 The difference in Gt, and DBZ, is that he actually started the development and was the main producer of DBZ, and DB. However he had nothing to do with the production, and overall ideas of DBGT.
I actually found it off this DBZ site. It explains each transformation and the characters that assume these transformations. Dragonball Wiki or something like that. It sort of explains the whole deal with each character and their trasformations. I just got it off that site, so yeah.
Akira Toriyama stated that for a saiyan to ascend to the level of super saiyan that saiyan must be at least 1/4 saiyan. Goku Jr is 1/16 saiyan so the fact he goes super saiyan further proves how GT took a dump on the wonderful story of the original dragon ball series.
Theory- Goku jr. Is goku brought back, kinda like uub. it was decided that the Universe needed a new guardian, the guardian should be Goku reborn. Thus, he is Goku once more, even tho Goku still is around
This was a short movie made after the last episode of dragonball gt and dbz period. Its supposed to take place 100 years later after goku merged with the dragon and this is his descendant. Apparently ssj is learned earlier as bloodlines progress. It almost seemed like an attempt to continue the series, but it didn't catch on. You see pan as an old lady and goku jr and vegeta jr fight in the tournament.
@ItachixESxLeader Not only that, but Goku Jr Hadn't trained at all. But he did meet the qualifications for going SSJ. Intense Emotions. He went Super Saiyan More easily than Goku & Vegeta due to his ancestors being super saiyans.
@Pur3Argonian, Akira Toryama himself stated that a less than half blooded saiyan cannot transform. But since GT isnt based on the original DB manga, and with Akira having little to do with GT, I guess they decided to change a few things. So think of it this way: The Pan shown at the end of DBZ could never have transformed into a Super Saiyan, but in GT world, she probably couldve.
I think the whole turning into a bad ass and not remembering it would be better if he didn't say a single word after he transformed. Just beat the crap out of him and then fell asleep and changed back.
Goku did something similar when he went what everybody calls false super saiyan. I like to call it half super saiyan. I mean his power level rose to about half what it would take to go SSJ. He did the same when he and Pikkon fought Cell, Frieza, and the Ginyu Force.
I don;t understand this at all. Gohan fought frieza and krillen died, so his need for it was much greater than goku junior's, trunks or goten. Why didn't he transformed too
True but Trunks came back from the future. His warnings to the Z Fighters changed the future from the one Trunks came from. Trunks first transformed when Gohan died. It's never shown how Trunks tranformed in the main timeline but how he grew up was completely different from his future counterpart. Future Trunks was living in fear, he could never get what he needed to transform unitl Gohan died. in the main timeline Vegeta had Trunks train excessively to make him stronger than Goten.
I think it's only SSJ 1 for the simple fact that, it took Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and Gohan special training to reach an ascended Saiyan level. I don't think Goku Jr can get it off of anger alone.
