Like frieza saying he didn't plan on killing any saiyans, not fighting goku and vegeta, letting cheelai live. And then in the manga he only KOs goku and vegeta. All he did was prove himself. And let them live.
remember in Z when Frieza killed Bardock, slaughtered a bunch of Namekians, killed Vegeta, almost killed Piccolo, blew up Krillin and then blew up Namek? and then after being repaired by his father went to Earth to completely wipe it out and was stopped only by Trunks, who was only able to defeat him by having future (no pun intended) knowledge of the event? apparently no one else does.

The recent stuff in the manga shows why this is. Vegeta learns he's too tense all the time and therefore can't relax enough to focus. Goku is too relaxed all the time and let's his guard down. So it's basically literally just about being on guard or not. Goku was def on guard here. But when he got shot he was winning and it was a cheap shot. Plus it's one of friezas men's guns. It's probably a pretty strong gun or else frieza wouldn't have them bother.
I also suspect that's why the first two arcs animation is pretty fucking bad. They simply knew most people have probably already seen this and phoned it in.

You're not wrong. The number scaling was okay at first. You had aliens with higher power levels, but the weaker humans were able to stay relevant with training and unique techniques. Now, you've got Jiren having a power level of 12.1 septillion, and I really miss the "it's over 9,000!" days. Now, no-one matters except the villain, Goku and Vegeta, and the power scaling has gotten insane.

Is it just me, or like does Goku's hair look kinda small at 1:10 in the moment he's going SSGSS for the first time? I mean his hair is more bigger and stands out more, no? (and yes I do understand when it's waving after it's unpaused it looks kinda ok but it's still seeming smaller than normal)
This can't literally be the first time that he used SS Blue. He had to have done it at least once before, training with Whis and Beerus, or he wouldn't have known that he could do it in front of Frieza.

the most stupid reactions were from King Kai. Why was he worried that Goku trained and achieved a higher form. This was the only thing that gave them fighting chance against Frieza's new form.
Wow, glad I watched the movies instead, that animation was super inconsistent. And maybe it would have been a good idea for us to see the training cause otherwise it feels like it just happened.
I would have shown off SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, and SSJG. Before blue. Assuming Freeza wasn't even as strong as blue, since he didn't know. Waited until Freeza turn Gold then catch him/her by suprize with Blue. Would had made a better story line. They rushed it.
I always thought the whole thing of calling the red haired form super Saiyan god was really dumb since there isn't actually a super Saiyan in it but is actually a base saiyan with god ki they should have called the red haired form Saiyan God And the blue form Super Saiyan God it would have simplified everything
